Default [SM4 / WIP]NAKET Coder Evolution

Back ONCE AGAIN to make ya move, it's the NAKET Team, so sit down my friend.

NAKET Coder Evolution is the name this time around.

* New features you haven't seen in any publicly released theme!
* More style!
* Totally not a rip of a k//eternal theme!

No, seriously:

Title Menu. Note the top left; eventually NCEvo will support multiple game modes, but for the 3/20/08 release, only expect dance mode to be working.

Select Style... 3D model subject to change.

Select Mode... Also incomplete.

Select Music... uh oh what have we done? You'll have to see for yourself!

And we saved the best for last.

As I had mentioned in another thread, Synikal coded a custom lifebar for NCEvo. He also planned on having multiple "pages" for the display up there in the middle. That fell through, and now the new thing in the middle is a realtime Step Distribution Graph. If you don't remember the SDG from NCRevolution, let me explain it:

For each judgment (W1-W5 + Miss), there's a bar that represents how many of that judgment you got versus the total amount of steps. In NCEvo, this happens in REAL TIME, a first in any theme!

Scheduled release date is 3/20/08, as usual, and ignore that e-series thing down in the lower right on Title. You'll know when the time comes.

Looks great--
My only suggestion is with the Select Style screen:

I think the ddr pad looks a little strange in the way it's lit. Hard to explain, but makes it look a little strange with the lighting. See if you can figure out what I mean, because I can't explain it any better.

---Makes the whole thing look bent/twisted slightly.

QFT. The text looks... well, terrible.

Also, may I suggest you decrease the transparency on the songs in the song select screen a tad bit? The bubbles in the background get in the way of reading the text clearly. It's just a little contrast issue.

Interesting custom lifebar, nice theme. Hope to see more.

Yeah, I've noticed that and I'm not sure how to fix it up.

People complaining about the text: I've been playing with other examples of the text, and I may have to just farm that out to someone else. That is, if they feel like actually doing the work.

Could create something new.

Smile Could create something new.

Unless you're trying to mimic DDR or something, I'd suggest just creating some sort of new icon in place of the ddr pad. (I personally think it doesn't match the theme much.) Just draw some cool looking representation of the dance modes.

The pad is appropriate, just needs to be remade.

Good news, I fixed the FOV problem! Turns out I had to add FOV to the ActorFrame and not to the model object itself. SM4 lol
