Some note skin help

[humm, i just noticed the tag thing, o well, next time.]
this is for SM anyway.
ok, so im working on a note skin that uses bars for all the arrows.

as you can see my problem is that it rotates the arrows to make the left and right ones.
I'm wondering if there is a way i can stop it from doing this. I'm guessing i can change something in the ini and i didn't see anything that caught my eye.

HEY AKIRA: KANEDA'S THEME lol.

blindrob, the .sprite or whatever files for Left and Right are rotating the images 90 degrees.

Unless you're using 4.0, you can change it by turning the .sprite into a .redir file.

Have the .redir file say Down Tap Note (whatever you might have here).png

Now if you ARE using StepMania 4.0, then I cannot help you. But just to let you know, SM4 is broken as my old watch and unless you're a developer, I don't really see what's the use of using it.

ah, thanks for the help, but im not sure if im doing this right :X
i tryed what you said and now im comming up with this error when i go to play a song
NoteSkinManager: The redirect 'NoteSkins/dance/BlindRob/Left Tap Note.redir' points to the file '[Sprite]', which does not exist. Verify that this redirect is correct.
and yea, im useing 3.9
also if it helps. i havent renamed any of the files, just edited them

i think i get what your saying now, i never tought about opening them with wordpad.

sweet, got it working now, in the sprite and the dir files , most of them look like this
[Sprite]
Texture=Down Hold Head Inactive.png
BaseRotationZDegrees=90

so i can just turn the rotate to 0

Note to anyone who can't open .sprite, .actor, or .redir:

Those must be opened with Notepad or Wordpad.

Hope you can release the noteskin sometime. If you need hosting, request it in the sticky topic in this forum.

i needs some more work but i would like to release it when its done. ive also been tweeking the system zero theam, im not going to relase that as im just learning from that, and im not sure if who ever made it would like it evey much :P
