To put it simply, its ugly. BG video backgrounds have been done to death recently, and it doesnt help that your using low res DDR videos. Too many default effect styles everywhere, and lack of actual images on things like song select make too much dependency on things such as song select. IMO, the BG should enhance, not dominate.

This IS true. Many people have been using the simple "BGMovie effect" alot these days, so to let you know Oni-91, you're not the first to come up with the concept.

I respect the theme but I don't like it. It's a nice theme and all, but I'm not the kind of person for those kinds of themes.

i like the 'dont break your legs' page. I think the theme is making some progress, so keep working on it.
and also, if someone is an asshole to you, doesn't mean you have to be one back.

while I'm not a fan of the shared background (or the use of movies as backgrounds in general), I LOVE the common music. What is it?

You seem to be missing a lot of things related to DifficultyMeter.
A few graphics give me frame size errors. Do you test the theme in windowed mode at all?

There are so many things wrong with this.

The most unoriginal bg music ever. I love hearing my favorite ddr songs from 7 years ago!

I cant see shit on the select music screen. I didnt even notice a radar right away.

gameplay was okay, but its hard to fuck tat up. which you kinda did by leaving the arrows to pop in.

All the BG's were just old ddr backgrounds. Why would you use something so overused and low resolution?

And before I forget again, YES! I love having the highlighted item on the titlescreen be half off the screen! genius!

If you ever plan to get serious at this, you reeeally need to work on your graphics.
After that, get random people to playtest your shit. Feedback is a needed item in development, and it only works if you listen to it.

The music? That's THEME FROM ENTER THE DRAGON (notorious mix).

Also, the difficulty meter is at the bottom of the screen. It's numerical.

Sorry, I always play in fullscreen. That, and I don't know how to seperate backgrounds...

No, the difficulty meter is there, but there are a shitload of metrics errors. However...

Annoying? not so much. Truthful is more the word. Seriously, Its nice that you try and go for it, just try harder, and if you dont wanna get better with graphics, have someone make them for you.

I just dont like the fact you think its awesome, when its a monument to bad design

you seem to open up for feedback, and then shutdown people who give it to you, calling them 'Dickrash' and whatnot. just face it that your theme needs work. Don't shut people down who point that out.

Also, I don't think my theme is awesome. I think it's just a theme that's functional. If it's not got graphics as good as the next one, who cares? At least it works. Also, I think that your little joke of O.N.I. 4 is just harsh. Your taking a themer that's not as good as you, and you're just taking the piss of him. Really, that's low. I tried hard to make O.N.I. 3. Believe me, I spent hours every night at a computer, I was a target for someone who thought it was funny to point a gun at me through the window (though it was probably a fake or a BB), but I kept on going. And if you think you can just take the piss of someone who's worked that hard, I think you need your morals questioning.

Everyone here can understand that you are trying hard to make a good theme, but you have to listen to reason...

Nobody is insulting you... if you take constructive feedback as an insult, it's YOUR problem. People are telling what you could improve, and you make deaf ears <.<
About ONI4, I find it funny and as some sort of indirect way to point your errors.

Take it easy, it just takes lots of practice and experience.
