Also if If I may say Takuya partitions are actually quite useful. I wish I'd edited my own Vista partition to begin with and made it smaller so I could store all my most important data on a separate partition so reinstalling Vista wouldn't be such a problem if I ever needed to.
As a future suggestion perhaps when this is sorted (because I'm focusing on the hope that it will be), I'd suggest sending copies of the in-progress themes to someone trustworthy and reliable, such as K// for example if he/she is willing, as a form of backup.
Also I have a certain respect for themers if only because I've looked into theming and didn't even know where to begin with trying out ideas, so I already know it must take a lot of work. To be honest though if it were me I'd probably end up just being happy with the thought that anyone would like to actually use my creation.
But anyway enough waffling, I hope everything is sorted so the community can go nuts on how great the theme is. Even if the data is never recovered know that you yourself are no less of a themer Takuya and everyone still holds you with all the respect you deserve for your efforts.

Still I have the hope to get all my stuff back....

As I said, that program recovers the entire partition table instead of just spare partitions

Now I'm scanning the HDD with test disk... I'll post again when the scan ends.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | There's almost 30 partitions, were a couple are in good state... sadly all files were stored in the 6th partition and from that the partition table was restored several times with 'magic partition' and 'partition recovery'... the last one existing that doesn't hold any file was the only one capable to be restored.
Files seems be lost forever... that change a lot everithing concerning with my themes. Here's what I'm going to do with this incident: 1.- DDR SN2 theming skills do exist; so I only have lost the work, not the know how. That's mean that this theme will be redone some time. 2.- All my themes (with no exception) cannot be used as base either as reference, including metrics, animations, images, art, music and all related stuff, that's because they're the remaing stuff I have and it belongs to me. I change my mind about giving permission to work with my stuff. This applies to all themers that have my permission to use SN1 as base.
Finally I have to thank you guys for all the support during this years...
PD
Just only one theme survived (because it was placed in a different disk): DDR Extreme 8.0b (beware's build)!!
PD2: Terms were edited!!

Just so you know how big the changes are currently, it did this to a mostly functional ITG2 theme: Index of /itg/wtf
(many of the changes are simply renamed elements however, and not totally new things. I'm trying to fix this theme also, which probably won't take too long.)

Marketplace Rating: 0 | A friend of mine had a copy of the SN2 theme, but that copy is very old (December)... most of the interface still looks like SN1, but at least there's a chance to make a first beta release of the theme (no more full version releases... I have learned that with fire).
Now I'm downloading all my themes from internet....
DDR SuperNOVA2 will be back to life...... more news are to come.... and SM4.0 theming will have to wait until I have done with this.
So I'll stay with 3.9 for a while.....

I don't even post much here, I should lol. Nah.

Not that I'm rushing Takuya or anything. He can take his time with the theme. I'm patient.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | I suppose the good news is Takuya has already pretty much completed the theme once so he already knows what needs to be done in most areas, however the downside is it must be massively depressing redoing everything again after already doing it all once. I imagine that's one area where I can fully empathise with Takuya.
I think it would be nice if we had a forum agreement not to bother Takuya by asking for release dates and such this time. It would give Takuya a chance to breathe and not put so much pressure to re-complete the theme after such a terrible incident.
Do you all agree? | |

I'd just advise you Takuya to make a backup of the themes you do on cd/dvd/or a usb drive in the future. That way you have a copy on your HDD and a data disk/usb drive as well. Just in case the HDD fails again. And make a backup of each version of the theme in case you need to go back and redo something, etc. Just some friendly advice. =D Thanks for all your hard work! =D

Now if we'd just get them enforced properly...
