If it doesn't have an SM then just save in edit mode, as dwi files AUTOMATICALLY force a subtitle when it reads dashes, tildes or parentheses after a space. You can delete the space to get past this.

If you had specified WHERE DO YOU WANT THE SUBTITLE OF THE SONG, I could have answered the right thing,
I thought that you were asking, like many other people, to see the subtitle of the song during gameplay.

Now, to do what you want to do, experiment in the [TextBanner] part of the metrics.
However, as said, to replicate the SuperNova behavior, you'd have to edit all the songs' titles, adding the subtitle to it.


Note: if you make changes to the simfiles, be sure to go to "Reload Songs/Courses" in the options afterwards.

You didn't do something right...try reload songs/courses from the options menu like Wan suggested. It's been a long time since I did it so I don't remember doing that, but I do believe it was necessary.

the thing is, it shouldn't be necessary to change all the simfiles 'cuz the other themes DO show the subtitles in the music wheel

I didn't test it in the ddr x theme (i'm not at home right now), however it did work on the k//eternal of Dance Anarchy presents STEPMANIA VISUAL PROJEKT XIV: ANARCH

this is what it did

search in your theme's metrics textbanner or subtitle

it should show you something like this

this theme has the subtitles active with the this line

ThreeLinesSubtitleCommand=hidden,0;zoom,.5;maxwidt h,360

to hide it, change the command to hidden,1;

ThreeLinesSubtitleCommand=hidden,1;

this will cause the subtitle to hide n.n

if you want to show them, add the what is up there on the textbanner, of course, what we want is only the subtitles, so, just copy and paste to your metrics...

I'm alive, bur bussy... the DDRMAX2 SM4 theme progress is slower than I want, but the good news are that I can finally get the DDR Arrows running on SM4 (they're almost 75% completed).

I hope to start soon developing the Rev 5.0 of my DDRX theme... more news soon.

Also I hope you make a DDR X2 theme now that the game is out, and it would be very easy needing only to change the graphics and revert the metrics to CS style behavior (pending announcement of an Arcade version.)

lol I find it funny how similar it is to X. Other than full combo splashes and glowing combos, did X2 get ANY new features? (not counting modes)
