I'm with ZHANG. Honestly, am I the only person here waiting for a perfect MAX2?

The thing is that you HAVE to wait. Takuya has other things to do apart from working in the theme (Real Life, dammit!).

The golden rule: DON'T RUSH THEMERS.

I'm happy that Takuya wants to finish up his older themes. Shows how attached he is to them in wanting to get them as perfect as he can. Also this means good things for us Europeans if it will help along the Dancing Stage themes too.

Personally I can wait for Supernova Beta 3. I think we should all relax in the comfort that when Takuya does get back round to theming Supernova its going to turn out bloody brilliant if he's as passionate about making it as perfect as he's making Max2.

So I take it you have never heard of "I can't Wait" in the sense meaning "I'm excited", have you?

We can wait, we are just really excited. Patient, but excited. That's all.

I got round to playing EM2 at the weekend. The main difference between that and DDRMAX2 is that spinning DDR-mat cube thing to show BPM. Is this possible to emulate in SM (that is, can you link BPM to the speed of the cube's rotation)?

Lemme quote something I was discussing with another themer:

[16:02:06] AJ187> maybe I should make it spin to the bpm lol
[16:15:10] GRIM657> it is pretty cool in theory
[16:15:15] GRIM657> but looks terrible
[16:15:29] GRIM657> because whatever's spinning resets to the default position every time the bpm changes

Of course, this assumes the Cube's done in 3d and not as a set of sprites. When someone gets me a Euromix 2 CD, we'll finally know for sure.

but yeah, "effectclock,bgm".

Cool

When you get the disk... uhhhhh... many things could happen... I assume that DDRMAX2 will be almost completed to that date.

I'm working hard to get the game the closer to the real game as possible...
Thanks for your comments and concern :P

I, for one, loved that cube! It gave everyone seizures when you chose MAX 300!

Yeah the bpm cube was cool.

I Want You To Want Me = slow friendly spin.
5, 6, 7, 8 = faster rhythmic spin.
Afronova = chav friendly spin.
Max 300 = DIE!!!

One wonderful thing was it gave you a really nice visual idea if you didn't understand how bpm worked. It was a great feature. I wonder what made them think of it and why it was never put in Max2 or ever reused? I don't think it would work in todays games though as you rightly outlined: some songs are just too frigging fast.
