Yeap.... for How to Play I tried copying it (Screen How To Play 2) and assigning a next stage screen branchgameplay or gamaplay normal.... there's no more combinations I guess
About the label thing I haven't tried them in a normal stage... I still trying with courses. Without any condition labels appear on screen (drawn over all the stuff).

Effect clock will work if the cube really spin as a 3D object, but it's done as sprites (in the theme and the real game)...

Pretty much that, which is why I considered doing the cube as a 3d object, but it's not exactly perfect that way then.

In SM4 it MIGHT be possible using Lua, but I haven't found exactly what's needed to do yet.

Hmm... I do wonder about the EuroMix 2 cabinet I play on then. Its odd that the colour error only affects the life bar and no other textures and also actually appears as though it is meant to be there (I always though it was a cool quirk Konami added to differenciate the player 1 and 2 lifebars for EM2). Also I have a very bad memory of the other EM2 machines I've played on and I don't look at the player 2 lifebar too much anyway. Oh well...

The spinning cube has always proven a problem especially because it was obviously added my Konami as code whereas we are forced to use a simulation restricted by what the built in metrics allow us to do. As was said a self coded 3D version appears to be ideal solution but pixels are truer to the orginal. Its a shame because I do think a more visual bpm display like the cube would be very welcome addition to SM theming.

Anyway, you go with what you feel best Takuya. I'm looking forward to seeing anything you produce.

Could you make an animated GIF of the cube, then edit the speed of the animation with metrics?

That's how the cube is done (several sprites changing) and that solution doesn't work, because the delay of the frames can't be changed... even if you try to use commands on it (I mean the whole image, not the frame delay). The cube isn't 3D so I spect you forget forever that idea... and spect that SM4.0 programmers could bring us some tools to spint it (change the frames) at different rates. For now it's done at the boring way :P

that's even WORSE because afaik there are no video formats which can get 1:1 pixel perfection, not to mention you can't really control the playrate with effectclock,bgm.

I can't make some conditions to work in SM4.0.... for difficulty and player number always complains about runtime or nill values.
There's a way to call them?... sintax?...

p.s. I was going to wait until you completely finished MAX2 to say this, but I am willing to help you port it to SM4. Just say the word and after the final 3.9 version of MAX2 is released, I'll help you work on it.
