[prt scr] right above [insert] will do what you need it to as far as screenshots.
They should appear in a folder within your stepmania folder, or just open paint and "paste".

Just how different is the theme engine between 3.9 and 4.0? I guess I'm wondering how easy/hard/impossible it is to fix a theme to make it work on 4.0. | |

A lot of stuff in Metrics.ini got changed.
.model, .actor, .sprite were removed, now you use the .xml equivalents: http://www.stepmania.com/wiki/Develo..._StepMania_4.0
BGAnimation.ini is now deprecated, use default.xml instead.
There's also LUA scripting, which you can use for more advanced effects and such.
As for porting a theme, use this guide:
3.9 -> 4.0: GOOD LUCK!
3.95/SMO -> 4.0: Not as hard, but you still have to account for changes. Quote: |

i think i realized why my 3.9 themes work for 4.0, i transfered the 3.9 metrics to 4.0, but i got rid of the 4.0 metrics, so i figure i might try getting all the metrics for all the stepmania games to try and make like a hybrid stepmania game that will hopefully be able to use all stepmania themes, or would that work? | |
