[WIP][3.9+] LANE TREK dance journey in four lanes

just throwing my idea out here for now. people think sm4 and creativity are exactly the same thing and the fact of the matter is that 3.9 themes can be unique and sm4 themes can be boring. it's all dependent on what you do. for the record i love several of the sm4 themes in existence right now but the current attitude, not so much

still in concept/planning phase, comments are welcome but i kind of want to stick to my own vision, hope you understand

this is supposed to be a part of the e-series but i don't have any clue if aj still plans on doing that; if yes then expect an sm4 port that will ideally be almost the same because i don't really think stepmania theming is about fancy effects (although if they are well-integrated in your plan they are perfectly fine, they just aren't a part of this)

i am considering using a banner wheel here, and if i do, this theme will not run on regular 3.9, just fyi

check that for info and such, 3.9+ is basically 3.9 with a few sm4 features backported and some other random stuff. i'm using it because i might incorporate a banner wheel

anyway to be serious widescreen kind of ruins the layout, it tends to do that when you don't have it in mind from the start

since this is pretty minimal, a lot of the visual impact relies on placement

trying to maintain the look while keeping things usable

it's kind of hard to maintain contrast when you don't know what the contents of other people's BGs are. i tried it out with a few and in the end i had to opt for something a bit more traditional.

the fades at the top/bottom aren't part of this BG, it's something carried over from my other work in progress

i may or may not leave that in
