Refresher on how this round works:
The average of the judge's scores, plus the average of the public reviews, plus your original entry's score, is your challenge round end score. The top one third (top 2 for KB) scores go to the final vote, alongside those who skipped.

Results will be posted in a week and the final round will start right after.

Looks good. I can't play Solo for crap however, so I don't think I'll be able to review these. Hell, I don't think I'll be able to play most of them even on keyboard unless I autogen them back to 4-arrow

Downloading now, anyway.

I recently got to play a Solo 4th mix so I'm hyped up to see what sim makers can do with the extra panels.

Same. I'm just gonna watch the charts, haha.

poke: I don't think you have to take the style literally. There was a DDR file with a hand, wasn't there?

considering that the backgrounds for ds 1.5 songs were just existing 2nd mix files with the text changed i'm pretty sure it was just retardation that lead to the triple in uh la la la

actually i was referring to the seasons of love file in this OSC. but solo had a lot of "hands" that you'd hit by just jumping on all four arrows.

either way, i think it would be kind of silly to dock points for DDR solo charts with freezes. i mean, what if konami were to make a new solo mix? would they not use freezes? i doubt it.

pokecapn: Freezes in DDR will be allowed, as had Solo been around after 4th plus it would have had freezes as well.

I'll review the ITG and DDR ones, as much as possible, but this time, I'm sending txt files. I HATE making quad posts. I'll go for DDR first-- I'll have it done by next week.

And as always, I will give the full scale.

disco - I listed what mine do differently in the readmes; I thought it would be sufficient not to include the way the file was before.

There are no stops in either Kagekiha. Ranatalus' was 180 BPM straight through; mine has one BPM twiddle at the beginning and two slowdowns in the middle. As a note, way back when I first worked with this song, Evan said he wanted even more slowed down.

I cut the beginning of Identity down because it was too long. Additionally, where I paused, the original quintupled the BPM; where mine speeds up briefly and then slows back down, the original just sped up to 5x again (with steps) then jumped back to the correct BPM instantaneously.

As for Kagekiha being a 12... I stepped it out and it felt like I could do it, and I struggle through Charlene and can BS through Utopia and Xuxa sometimes, so I don't think it's any higher than an 11. I was considering dropping it to a 10 but I thought that was low.

ranatalus's Kagekiha did have one stop.

It seems like... no one can put up any high-quality art for that song. It's kinda weird. I mean, I think you could even just use the pop'n graphic, cut it properly and put it on a solid background ant it would come out ok, but maybe not... Your file was still REALLY good, so don't worry.

jammitch!: thanks, I'll give you an actual score now.

discovolante, did you read the readme for Jump? Did you realize that the bombs during the chorus are supposed to be exactly where the song says jump so that you are jumping? It might seem offbeat simply because I put the jumps an 8th after the bombs, when you are supposed to be landing.

If you did understand, never mind.

Oh, and thanks for your review of 24.
