Refresher on how this round works:
The average of the judge's scores, plus the average of the public reviews, plus your original entry's score, is your challenge round end score. The top one third (top 2 for KB) scores go to the final vote, alongside those who skipped.
Results will be posted in a week and the final round will start right after.

Downloading now, anyway.

poke: I don't think you have to take the style literally. There was a DDR file with a hand, wasn't there?

either way, i think it would be kind of silly to dock points for DDR solo charts with freezes. i mean, what if konami were to make a new solo mix? would they not use freezes? i doubt it.

And as always, I will give the full scale.

There are no stops in either Kagekiha. Ranatalus' was 180 BPM straight through; mine has one BPM twiddle at the beginning and two slowdowns in the middle. As a note, way back when I first worked with this song, Evan said he wanted even more slowed down.
I cut the beginning of Identity down because it was too long. Additionally, where I paused, the original quintupled the BPM; where mine speeds up briefly and then slows back down, the original just sped up to 5x again (with steps) then jumped back to the correct BPM instantaneously.
As for Kagekiha being a 12... I stepped it out and it felt like I could do it, and I struggle through Charlene and can BS through Utopia and Xuxa sometimes, so I don't think it's any higher than an 11. I was considering dropping it to a 10 but I thought that was low.

jammitch!: thanks, I'll give you an actual score now.

Did you realize that the bombs during the chorus are supposed to be exactly where the song says jump so that you are jumping? It might seem offbeat simply because I put the jumps an 8th after the bombs, when you are supposed to be landing.
If you did understand, never mind.
Oh, and thanks for your review of 24.
