I'm considering, now, doing two of the above challenges, plus mabye a genre, and you can choose which (or do multiple at once).

Perhaps:
* Mashup (component songs must be recognizable) - If Mashup is an option, we will allow use of a-capellas, voiceless versions, covers, etc., as long as each component song is recognizable. I might further require that at least one song be from a music game, just to keep it a little bit on theme. (Pink Cat = Pink DInosaur + Black Cat)
* or Remake an OSC song from 1-4
* or Polka (non-Weird Al)
* or mix two or more of these at once, for those who REALLY want to make the judge team's ears bleed. Mash up a Polka piece with Black Cat!

This one's strongly limiting, but offers you a fair choice.

In other news, I don't think I've ever danced to a polka song. I don't think I even know of any polka songs. Is that really gonna be one of the choices? Because if it is, I should probably start listening to polka pretty soon.

Okay... We've really got some people hooking on the idea of Mashups, so...

Here's the tentative restrictions for DDR OSC BONG (no longer 5+ just becuase BONG sounds funnier >_> <_<):

The song must either be:
* A Mashup containaing at least one Bemani or other music-centric video game song. The game must be out as of the due date of the files, and must be a version by the artist that did it in the game (so if you wanted to put Bark At The Moon in because it was in Guitar Hero, you would have to use the GH version or another AFAIK-nonexistant version by Soundwave - yes there's way to get it, no I'm not gonna talk about them here). The mashup may be original or made by someone else, but the #ARTIST tag must be formatted as follows:
(Artist 1) and (Artist 2) - mixed by (mashup creator)
* A choice from a set list of songs from (but not including all of) DDR OSC 1, 2, 3, 3+, Psychopath's Edition, 4, and just a few from 5. The result may use the original cut or a new cut, and must be based off the same mix. Graphics, Steps, and the Readme must be 100% new.
* A Mashup which contains one of the OSC list songs is valid.

Keep in mind that this is subject to change!!!! The actual competition rules will be concepted out during November.

Expect to have entries due by December 17th - the day my Christmas Break starts. Release dates will depend on my personal availability and/or those of all staff, but right now the 28th seems kind of likely.
