I'm sure there's some leeway in the designation; how else would the more standard artist vs. artist make it in? Maybe it could be "Cleverartist (Boring vs. Plain)" instead?

Hmmm... from what I'm seeing... mashups really do seem interesting (and very hilarious in some cases). So far, here's my idea for a mash-up:

Colour Disaster - Well, Trick Trap does have White Tornado, Black horizon and Purple storm. ^___^

Also, NekoIncardine, I had a mash-up idea that specifically targets an O2jammer here in the Philippines... will that be banned? As for the neonFM idea, freestyle steps seem to be the way to go for neonFM steps... might be an interesting prospect.

You should bleep them all out, and then add more random bleeps all over the place until they make a cool sound to dance to, then step it!

Nice idea.. with all those bleeps, the player might end up dancing to the bleeps instead of the songs. Hmmm... how would that feel when mixing Injection of Love with something, then?

Mashups may contain swear words, though I'd prefer that it not go too insane (unless funny). NeonFM isn't happening... Yet.

Lilina: I'm not 100% sure what you mean, but if you're saying "can I use an o2Jam" song, well last I checked (though I haven't played in a while), o2Jam NX is a music game, so yeah it fits.

Today in REALLY BAD MASHUP IDEAS:
* Guitar Hero: Bark At The Moon
* Gitaroo Man: (Okay, almost any song from this game.)

Yeah, so, more work on this will be coming when I don't have literally fifteen computer assignments bearing down on me and due before I go to work tonight.

My current idea for a mashup is between Xenon (IIDX 8th Stlye/DDR Extreme) and Know Your Enemy (ITG 2). Its name isn't really that catchy (Xenon [KYE Breakbeat Dub]), but it might actually turn out pretty nicely overall.

Honestly, I wish we could've done another OSC Psychopath Edition as a mini-tournament. This way, not only would I get to chuckle out even more laughs than when I first played Highway 40, but I'd actually be able to have a ton of fun by participating in it. The original took place around when, Summer of 2005? I first discovered Bemanistyle's OSC around the end of the 4th competition, so I hadn't even started creating simfiles back then (even though I did have some experience with Edit stepchart designs).

But seeing how little time the moderators have up their sleeves to run another competition before the next big tournament begins next Summer, and seeing that I have already pretty much decided my entry for OSC BoNG, I'll stay with the current plans. Hopefully, Psychopath Edition 2 will be held sometime after "OSC 6" takes place.

The OSC rules state: "creative choices are strongly encouraged except where meant to cause pain". That rule may actually get invoked over this idea...

If things go favorably, OSC Psychopath's Edition 2 (or the first introduction of the new name, whatever that may be?) will be in March-April, as a second beta test, that being when I initially wanted to do Psychopath's 1, but we were waiting for 7.0 at the time (man that makes me feel stupid now).
