And yeah, I will probably remake Hikari using full version of song and will NOT have double stepping.

Not a massive shock with the results thus far - the top three at the moment are pretty much what I expected, although personally Tori no Uta would take the place of Emoticons... | |

Anyway, I want to thank all the judges for their comments. The constructive criticism had taught me a lot, and will help me do a lot better next time. Zounder's comments were especially helpful and encouraging.
Looks like my biggest problem was my song selection. Hrm… I’ll have to pick something with more of a beat next time.

I was in the middle of judging Go Berzerk last night (I have Beginner and Heavy left to do on that) when my family including me went out for dinner at a new Indian restaurant. I'm allergic to some major nuts (pistachio, walnut, cashew) and I forgot the golden rule of eating pastry: Don't eat any pastry I'm not already familiar with, and I won't get an allergic reaction. The trick here was that the pastry was an appetizer instead of a dessert, which threw me a nasty curve. Well, it suffices to say that I got a fairly severe allergic reaction that created rashes all over my body and forced me to stay overnight at the local hospital where the rashes all disappeared thanks to some heavy dosage of Benadryl and some steroid.
The question is, having this steroid in my body, am I eligible to judge the remaining 3.4 entries?
Just kidding. But that's why I'm not done yet, and I just got back home. The remaining 3.4 entries (actually, kind of like 3.15 having judged Shake It Down heavy) are Go Berzerk, Shake It Down, Parasite World, and Under the Sea. Now I'm not sure I'll be able to actually get this done because, although I feel golden right now having recovered so quickly, I can't say for sure that it's a good idea to keep judging on the pad and I refuse to judge on a keyboard because my opinions always differ if I'm judging on keyboard.
Edit: Yeah, even typing this feels different because my muscles are all like "huwag?" so I need to rest. My computer is still downstairs (meaning no AIM/guaranteed computer time) so if any of you (especially BlueSS/Neko) would like to contact me on this matter please PM me.
I'm really sorry; had I not hung out with friends so much on Saturday this would've been all done already.
Edit 2: I saved the wristbands from the hospital for some reason and I've got that discharge-me-away-from-there form if you want proof of this.
Also, one last problem: Because I didn't really adjust to the scoring system (with which I've never before judged), my scores are definitely going to be the harshest, so I'm warning you in advance. A couple of entries that would get 79% in the two DDRex contests I've judged might get like 59% in this contest. Or worse. I thought this was normal at first because it seemed to me that OSC's grading system has always been designed to be somewhat harsh, but I don't really think it's normal at all anymore...
And, finally, I highly doubt I'll be able to judge Bracket 2 at this point; that would just be too much.

We will be initiating blood tests before every major competition to test for steroids next time... but remember, HGH goes undetected!
In all seriousness, sorry you had to go through all that, take it easy and get well soon.

2) Don't worry if you're the harshest judge; a tough judge can be important for pointing out where people need to improve.
3) If you feel you can't handle it, that's your choice; I've gotta hold you to the same standard I held myself, and that was, "if you feel you can't get it done, better to tell us in advance so that we know what to expect."

Also, what is Let Me Stay doing so close to making it to the Challenge round? I'm obviously the one who enjoyed it the least.

Songs that get fewer reviews don't particularly suffer (The average scheme automatically accounts for missing scores), so there's no reason NOT to especially, assuming good faith in the incomplete reviews.

- cpubasic13's 9 rating was for Disco Dog, not for Blow Me Away
- Rob00996's 9.5 is for Let Me Stay, not for Last Regrets. Last Regrets is his own file.
- discovolante's name is misspelled, as is Azure Haights'.
- jultz gave You Raise Me Up a 6.5, not an 8.5.
I believe that's everything.
Edit: Took out the two things jammitch! mentioned in the next page.
