Now I'm not satisfied. Basically Super Shomin Car all over again, though that time was a much much more drastic drop.

Never thinking about getting the 3rd place
Due to lack of time, I've not tested all B1 bracket, but I've tested Radio Star and Shake It Down, and find their position right

I trust you that it will. Just ensure you actually finish the stepchart and that the song and graphic quality are more appropriate than they were this time around.

Darn it all, Last Regrets fell out of qualification for the Challenge Round, now replaced by the so-so 24. Be Princess was the one that made the Challenge Round? That's silly.

Results updated with a few more subtle fixes. Unfortunately, being an idiot, I rewrote the ODS, so these ones are final unless there's SEVERE errors.

I've got two songs picked out ('cause I have a feeling there'll be a fight over my first choice). So when's the next one?

edit: Oh hey, there might be a fight over the second one, too. What's the deal with TM1&2 entries?

It seems like every time the results get changed I go up a place. Keep finding those errors, everyone, and maybe I'll get to 1st!

Ooh, ooh, ooh! Pick ME! I found a mistake. cpubasic13 gave Disco Dog a 9/10. He didn't give the 9/10 to his file, Blow Me Away.

okay that makes PR for blow me away 3.69 and disco dog a 7.076 (rounded up to 7.08 i guess)

i don't know how pr factors into the score let me look it up
okay got it
this makes blow me away have a score of 41.01, so it stays where it is
disco dog now has a score of 73.995 or 74 rounded up, so it stays where it is too

Should some of these public review scores even count? I mean, it's not very fair to factor in scores given by reviewers who only rated ten files. What if that reviewer was more or less harsh than everyone else? Then the scores of the few files he reviewed would be either slightly higher or lower than the files he didn't review.

I'm not sure how much of a difference that would make though.

Some things I wanted to point out about Juub's reviews...

on action radius:

Quote:
One time you had 16ths going into a jump which you only see in DDR in like MIRACLE (where they're on the same arrow by the way) and in MAXX UNLIMITED (8ths, but basically my feet are moving as fast, you know what I mean). It was pretty awkward
Dynamite Rave oni or heavy, can't remember, has L+R jump, D, L in sixteenths. Harder and faster than Action Radius. I think there might be one more song too.

on disco dog (and others i suppose):

Quote:
Please, please, please don't start your steps at the very first sound of the song. Leave that to the Keyboard files. I don't think even ITG does this.
To be fair, this would and could work on a DDR machine but not on an ITG machine. The first measure of an ITG song plays while the screen fades into the interface, so if you start on the first step of the first measure you won't see the arrows at all, usually. On DDR, there's always four extra beats given during the "Are You Ready?" line that the announcer speaks, and I assume that if you had a step on the first measure, there would be 4 beats of silence and then it would start.

Also, Disco Dog is really short and I could see why Eggman wanted to start on the first sound: so he could still have a good number of steps.

True and a fun thing to point out, but it's one of the greater oddities in DDR. I'm tempted to say it was just an accident that Konami never changed but I obviously can't prove that.

Well, what I cared about is that DDR hasn't ever done that.

Yeah, he did say that in a post or two here. I understand the logic but don't agree with it at all, considering the substantial amount of DDR songs that are that short or shorter.

- discovolante's name is misspelled, as is Azure Haights'.
- jultz gave You Raise Me Up a 6.5, not an 8.5.

I believe that's everything.
Though the Let Me Stay thing was pointed out by Pker first. Were those not fixed?

Ehhhh I can't quite disprove this right now but I know that at least DDR starts earlier 80% of the time.

And yeah, I always thought the Dyamite Rave thing was an accident. It's so dumb.

Disco Dog also doesn't start on the first measure. I set it so that the music would start on measure 2 as DWI also does what ITG does. I guess. I basically made sure that it wouldn't turn out like North did.

And there really aren't that many DDR songs that are 1:14 or less. It's basically just the stuff from 5 key like 5.1.1. or Gambol. Twin Bee's around there. Pretty much everything else is at least 20 seconds longer.
