Yeah, it just kind of....ends. It's also a half-beat or so late for me. Possibly a little more. I got almost nothing but greats and goods. Then again, that could still be gap differences with computers. Mine has been fairly odd for some other peoples' files.

I'm going to have to disagree with this. The majority of the people downloading this mix for their enjoyment are playing, forcusing on, and enjoying the heavy steps. Yes, there are some people who play light/standard, and yes, they are important charts, and yes, it would be nice if everyone who posted a Public Review reviewed every chart. But you can't expect the public to be interested in anything more than the heavy chart. Also, there are many people who don't have time to play 50 charts per bracket, let alone write comments for each one of them.

Edit: Valex, could it have to do with the fact that your resubmitted your file? How exactly did you fix whatever was making SM crash?

So why bother making the Standard/Light steps at all? I could've just filled in those charts with garbage, as long as I kept it so it looked like it was fine but not bothered to actually make it fun/playable/whatever. You'd never even notice and the song could get really good reviews when it should, in fact be getting horrible reviews for such a rush job of Standard/Light.

That would be ridiculous.

The judges grade light and standard... if your light and standard chart are garbage then I guarantee you will not advance to the next round.

It isn't what you said about it, it's what you didn't say really. You're one review didn't think it was that good. Oh no. I knew full well people would think the Heavy steps were too hard. I said so in my readme lol

Just saying, even public reviewers should think about their reviews as though they were actually the judges for the competition.

I'm going through the files now and while I didn't give you a bad score (8.5) I also thought they had a bit too much 16th usage for the song. Personally if I was doing it I'd have put steps like that in challenge and made heavy a bit easier, but I guess that's just me. >_> It's just not the kind of song that screams "9 footer on heavy" to me.

Yeah, it was originally a keyboard file that I redid a bit to be paddable. Writing it, I thought it had ended up way too hard but after playing it, I thought it was fine and just went with it. Had I moved the Heavy to Challenge, the Standard would've ended up as the Heavy but then I think it would've been too easy. I guess I just hear all the background stuff and figure, hey, the player would like to go to some of that. It's all tastes.

I think an 8.5 might actually be higher than I'd give it lol. Looking back on it, I don't like the four 16ths patterns very much. The beginning and end still rock my world though.

Lol, that's almost exactly what I'm currently writing in my review. I'm doing it in notepad, then when I'm done I'll transfer it to a post and edit it a bit. But guys, don't get too worked up on the light/standard charts. I'm going to grade all of the difficulties anyways. At least 1 person doing the public reviews will be.

Disco Dog? Hard?
What are you people on? Go play Leading Cyber or something, and tell me that this song is actually hard. This file has character to burn.

Yes... that would make more since. However, I doubt anyone would want to take the time to do so. :P I would, but I've got to get the songs first.

Not to fond of the review my file got, but... that was just Heavy. I'll wait to see how other reviewers review it before I start ranting about horrible reviews which the users do nothing but Heavy. <_<

My problem with my file would be the graphics somewhat. Now with Photoshop 7.0, I could easily redo the graphics to be better than what I got now. I'm going to redo them now, but I know that can't help me with this right now. Oh well. I'm going to release this sometime after it falls anyway (Or when it wins. ).

...that and the length, but if I cut out anything else, it would be too dull. Especially since I first planned on removing the whole guitar solo part, but then decided to keep it for a good 8th note run. Then again, the recommended time was... recommended, not required. It went over... what? 10/15 seconds over the recommended?

Sometimes a song can be only 10/15 seconds over the recommended but still feel to long if the song is repetitive/boring/bad/etc.

I have no clue what your file is though, so that's not meant to be targeted at you, just in general.

Blow Me Away.

I don't think I could have gone without the guitar and drum solo between the two chorus sections. It wouldn't be the same without it. Even if I left that and wanted to cut out something else, I suck at cutting songs and that was my first song I successfully cut.

Eh, I'm hoping to get the zip tomorrow. For the KB I used a download manager but then the hard drive crashed days later. I'm a bit stingy about how I do things now. :P

Backups everyday for me from now on.

RADIO STAR

Steps: 6/6 I love these steps - they're simple but they work so well. The right amount of stream, good use of 16th arrows to match the melody, fun crossovers, etc.

Everything Else: 3.75/4 Great song choice, nice graphics, and lyric file! It seems to be missing a line or two, tho...

9.75/10 This has to be the best first file ever.
The lyrics file has all of the lyrics in it... it worked when I submitted it. I noticed in my OSC folder it didn't work but nothing changed at all in the lyrics file. Weird... I don't think there's anything wrong in my lyrics file so... if anybody notices that I did something wrong please show me because I have no clue why it isn't working!
STRIKE THAT NEVERMIND

I accidentally put a : instead of a .

how embarrassing

Also it isn't my first file, just first released. I'm not THAT good, haha.

Thanks for the really good review though!

HIKARI

Man, it's like Wish at 1.5x music. It even does that "foot descends, toes touch water and then foot rises again" thing that Wish did in the video. Anime is getting unoriginal, or something. >_>

Steps: 3.75/6 Unnecessarily full of 16ths, I think. If you must have bursts of 4-5 16ths you should put them in simpler patterns rather than full-on LDUR because otherwise they just don't fit with the rest of the song. It's also either full of double steps or way too heavy on the spins (I suspect both) and just generally feels too difficult and awkward.

Everything Else: 2/4 Graphics are alright, but they're JPGs when the rules state they should be PNGs. Song choice is okay, provided video was nice. However, the anime the song is from should be in your CD title, not in your banner & subtitle. It makes it a bit confusing to work out what the name of the song is meant to be, otherwise.

5.75/10 It feels too much like a novice file all round, with the overuse of 16ths, awkward steps and lack of adherence to standards in terms of the presentation. I'm sure you'll get better, tho.
1. I wanted to make it hard in those places, because of this I made pretty good warm up song for those like me, it isn't to hard, it isn't too easy and it isn't 500 arrow f*&%ing dead run.

2. Can you explaing me what the double step is? Because I dunno.

3. About grapics, I'm sorry, missed line about PNG.

4. CDtitle - why? I always save anime title in subtitle - almost all stepmakers that make for anime songs do like this.

5. I'm really happy of this points, because I in Tournamix6 f*&%ed up my song ...

6. I choosen wrong song, when my pack will be online you will see why (probably even Happy Happy Shining Star!! would give me more points, it have good, DDR, drop out, feel).
