6/6: Maniac
4/4: Graphics/whatever else (GWE).
Never taking into account: Background videos. It was a coinflip type decision, really.
"That said, on the the reviews!"

24 - jem
Maniac: This wasn't bad at all. I thought some patterns just felt uneven compared to the rest of the chart.
4/6
GWE: I like the concept for the graphics, but that gradient you used could have been replaced by something infinitely better.
3/4

TOTAL: 7/10

:( :) :( :) :( :)

Action Radius - Sonic Mayhem
Maniac: Unneededly hard and extremely repetitive at points.
1/6
GWE: Graphics are okay. Caps in banner background and songwheel don't matching (not taking points away for that). The banner could have been better instead of just using a gradient. Start seems too long.
2/4

TOTAL: 3/10

:( :) :( :) :( :)

Ai~n! Dance no Uta - Bakatono-Sama to Minimoni-hime
Maniac: I'm not feeling this. I think this would have been a good challenge chart, but I don't see this song being a 9 in DDR at all.
4/6
GWE: Graphics look stretched/JPEG artifacted, and text is average.
2/4

TOTAL: 6/10

:( :) :( :) :( :)

Blow Me Away - Breaking Benjamin
Maniac: Relatively too easy going to way too hard. Like you forced yourself to follow everything at some points.
2/6
GWE: Banner is subpar, background concept is okay except for the text just being pasted on and blurred.
2/4

TOTAL: 4/10

:( :) :( :) :( :)

Disco Dog - Asletics
Maniac: This is just following everything making it too hard for a song which would likely be, say, calmer in DDR. Also it's a bad idea to have your steps start with the song.
3/6
GWE: Those graphics are terrible and should be discarded STAT.
1/4

TOTAL: 4/10

:( :) :( :) :( :)

Domino - Alvin
Maniac: This is good except SPEEDUP OUT OF NOWHERE WHAT THE HELL :(
3/6
GWE: Graphics are okay, except the font work for DOMINO is relatively bad.
2/4

TOTAL: 5/10

:( :) :( :) :( :)

Dragostea Din Tei - O-Zone
Maniac: It's just following the vocals in bland fashion.
1/6
GWE: Banner is terrible. Background is actually on the rightpath, but you should ditch the bitmap font.
2/4

TOTAL: 3/10

:( :) :( :) :( :)

DREAM OF YOU - ALVIN
Maniac: What happened here, man?! It's just following everything and there's no creativity and the patterns are harder than they should be AUGH severely disappointed.
2/6
GWE: This seems like an improvement over your previous graphics. Although, I'd suggest you start avoiding using transparent tinted boxes (a bit overused) and pitch black outlines (just try giving them a bit of color).
2/4

TOTAL: 4/10

:( :) :( :) :( :)

Emoticons - Hinoi Team
Maniac: Bland at points, but otherwise solid.
5/6
GWE: These graphics are better than your usual work. I recognized them as W1p3out graphics almost instantly because of the subpar font choice and rainbow colors. If you pick better fonts and stop using so many colors you'll improve a LOT.
3/4

TOTAL: 8/10

:( :) :( :) :( :)

Geno's Woods - Orkybash
Maniac: It's just following everything.
1/6
GWE: Graphics are okay except the filter you used in the background image ruins it severely. A poor attempt at blending the whole thing.
2/4

TOTAL: 3/10

:( :) :( :) :( :)

Go Berzerk - Scott Brown
Maniac: Song's repetitiveness is reflected clearly on the steps. Nice attempt, though.
2/6
GWE: Those graphics are terrible what were you thinking :(
1/4

TOTAL: 3/10

:( :) :( :) :( :)

Golddiggers - Gunther
Maniac: I'm not sure. This was following everything most of the time, but then again it was done in a tasteful way.
5/6
GWE: Bad font choices, but it's in the right direction.
3/4
TOTAL: 8/10

:( :) :( :) :( :)

Hikari Inukami - Yui Horie Hikari
Maniac: The way 16ths are used is pretty bad and could have been a lot, lot better.
3/6
GWE: Anime character pasted over generic photoshop work. Also I don't get why the banner and background don't match AT ALL. Or those dog footprints.
2/4

TOTAL: 5/10

:( :) :( :) :( :)

Kagekiha - LRXE
Maniac: It's way too doublesteppy and doesn't end up being too memorable since it's mostly 8ths and oddly placed 16ths and 32nds (I think) at points.
3/6
GWE: Graphics are okay except you're using a bitmap font in terrible fashion and the background image is stretched.
3/4

TOTAL: 6/10

:( :) :( :) :( :)

Last Regrets (Xmas Dance Mix) - Key
Maniac: There was this odd freeze pattern near the start. And then this part that had jumps but the music was really quiet. It's just a bunch of odd parts, really. But the rest is fine.
4/6
GWE: There's something wrong with the background. It's just not blending together well. And the banner looks much inferior.
2/4

TOTAL: 6/10

:( :) :( :) :( :)

Let Me Stay - Prezioso feat. Marvin
Maniac: I'm not sure about some patterns being much more complex than they should be, but other than that this is good.
4/6
GWE: Nice simplistic take on the graphics, although the background picture could use an extra filter or something? It looks too pasted on.
3/4

TOTAL: 7/10

:( :) :( :) :( :)

One Heart - Celine Dion
Maniac: There was an overly complex freeze spin which is out of place considering how easy the rest of the stepfile is. The steps also start too early. Also some 8th streams got way too long
3/6
GWE: I like this idea for the graphics. The One Heart text just doesn't look too convincing.
3/4

TOTAL: 6/10

:( :) :( :) :( :)

Parasite World - TERRA Underground
Maniac: Steps start with the song. I'm seeing a lot of everything mixed together (not good). And now I'm seeing a whole lot of nothing. Ahaha :(
0/6
GWE: Bad font choice pasted over generic photoshop background.
1/4
TOTAL: 1/10

:( :) :( :) :( :)

RADIO STAR - DJ MIKO
Maniac: This one just screams oldschool DDR. It's like it was ripped straight from an older mix. I replayed it several times trying to find something wrong and failed. A definite keeper!
6/6
GWE: Graphics are kind of random just like DDR and it even has a proper CDtitle! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT.
4/4

TOTAL: 10/10

:( :) :( :) :( :)

Ragnarok Nemo TeMP it UP - S.S.H.
Maniac: Steps start with the song and jesus christ this is just a bunch of freeze arrows mashed together. The rest is just following everything in a rather uninspired way.
1/6
GWE: Uh I'm not sure about those graphics. The song sounds much darker than a Ragnarok Online loading screen.
1/6

TOTAL: 2/10

:( :) :( :) :( :)

Rock Steady - Diclonius Kid
Maniac: I thought this could have used a couple more jumps at places, and it also got repetitive some times, but other than that it was pretty good.
5/6
GWE: What the hell were you thinking when you picked this song?! Graphics are appriopiate except I didn't really like how the text for Diclonius Kid was done (I think it's too transparent). BPM gimmicks could have been done without. Apparently everybody hated your challenge steps which I'm not taking into account for anything (lucky you).
3/4

TOTAL: 8/10

:( :) :( :) :( :)

Se7en - DM Ashura
Maniac: Uh this seems to be doublesteppy for no real reason. And then there's this 16th note stream which is dreadful.
1/6
GWE: Pasted on/rushed/not really good.
1/4

TOTAL: 2/10

:( :) :( :) :( :)

Shake it Down - good-cool
Maniac: I didn't like those long freeze parts and some patterns but the rest is quite acceptable.
5/6
GWE: Graphics still need something else. I think it's the background image being really plain. Which is a shame, too, since the text looked very good.
3/4

TOTAL: 8/10

:( :) :( :) :( :)

The Great Blue Sky (and the Stars Above) - Jun Ishikawa/Dan Miyakawa
Maniac: This is just following everything.
1/6
GWE: Graphics are terrible, considering this is a Kirby song which gave you a LOT to work with. At least you could have picked a more oldschool Kirby picture.
1/4

TOTAL: 2/10

:( :) :( :) :( :)

These Emotions - Benjamin Diamond
Maniac: It's following the vocals too much at points. Then again it gets better at some points.
3/6
GWE: Why is everybody slapping an emo label on this? It's not really emo. Unless you think emo is any song that shows emotions (that's 95% of them). Anyway, the graphics seem rushed and the background and banner are way too different.
2/4

TOTAL: 5/10

:( :) :( :) :( :)

Tori no Uta - Lia
Maniac: Bunch of 8ths in a really, really quiet beginning. The rest wasn't really memorable.
4/6
GWE: Text placement (and text itself) for banner is subpar. Background is grainy.
2/4

TOTAL: 6/10

:( :) :( :) :( :)

Under The Sea - A Teens
Maniac: This is just following the vocals, but the patterns are alright I guess.
2/6
GWE: Simplistic but could have been way better.
1/4

TOTAL: 3/10

:( :) :( :) :( :)

YOU RAISE ME UP (7" Anthem Mix) - DEJA VU ft. TASMIN
Maniac: I don't know if the start should have used any jumps at all. And some freezes that could have been done without. The rest was quite good.
4/6
GWE: CDtitle is too dark but the rest is EL PERFECTION.
4/4

TOTAL: 8/10

24-bad bpm, steps were repetative, could've been a lot of fun if it had just changed the pattern up a few times. banner/bg good, 8.2/10

action radius-good ITG file, bad ddr file. so-so banner and bg. 5.9/10

ah-ni or whatever-oh my god this song hurts my ears. Looks pretty, but the steps are pretty bad and inconsistently difficult, and weren't very fun. Also that guy was so ugly. 5.5/10

blow me away-did not blow me away. at all. Parts of the steps were ok, but overall it was kind of not-fun. the 16th crossovers, in particular, were lame. graphics were pretty lacking too. 2.3/10

disco dog-same as action radius, really. the song sounded like an easy fun 7, not a moderate 9. 6.1/10

domino-the beginning was kind of weird, overall the file was pretty fun, even if it was pretty simple. graphics good. 8.2/10

dragostea din tei- It wasn't nearly as bad as I expected, to be honest. graphics were pretty bleh but the steps were fun. 7.4/10

dream of you-I really liked the song musically. Some of the 6th mix parts were kind of weird, the "every quarter is a jump" thing was kind of dumb but I probably wouldn't have noticed if it hadn't been mentioned before. good graphics (as usual). Even if it isn't the most technically sound, it's the one I enjoyed the most. 8.9/10

emoticons-pretty good, actually. graphics were fairly good, steps were pretty good too. 8.5/10

geno's woods-I'm really tired of seeing files of this song. they all do the same thing, and they're not that good. graphics were decent at best. 3.2/10

go berzerk-yeah, there really is no bass in this mp3. I liked the part just before the ending, the ending not so much. most of the file was generic stream, which was ok given the song. fitting graphics. 7.6/10

that's all I have done for now, I'll do more of them later when I get a chance

[DDR] - 24
Heavy: 3.5 / 6
Technically solid but bland.
The rest: 2.5 / 4
Graphics and song are bland too, but decent quantity of extras.
Total: 6 / 10

[DDR] - Action Radius
Heavy: 2 / 6
Very repetitive. Trying to change it up is nice but doesn't change the basic rhythm. The jumps and such were trying too hard
to make it tough. The end freezes can go too.
The rest: 2 / 4
Graphics and song are pretty bland, and nothing in the way of extras.
Total: 4 / 10

[DDR] - Aiin! Dance no Uta
Heavy: 3.5 / 6
Flash in the Night much? This song is way too bipolar - hard, easy, hard, easy, hard.
The rest: 3 / 4
Graphics are solid. Song irks me (I never cared much for this junk anyway). Video and lyrics.
Total: 6.5 / 10

[DDR] - Blow Me Away
Heavy: 1.5 / 6
I wasn't a big fan of the freeze crossovers, nor the step jumps. This song was bipolar too - quarters then sixteenths.
Sixteenth pivots @ 196 BPM = no. Patterning needs work in places, and short freezes are stupid.
The rest: 2.5 / 4
Art is subimpressive. Song is okay. Sample's not very good. Little for extras.
Total: 4 / 10

[DDR] - Disco Dog
Heavy: 4 / 6
WHAT UP, MY DOGE? Too many sixteenths for what I hear, and too many full pad swings (one foot D->U or vice versa) in the
sixteenths. End was nasty too.
The rest: 3.5 / 4
Art is goofy but passable. Song is KICKIN' YER NEIGHBER. A few extras.
Total: 7.5 / 10

[DDR] - Domino
Heavy: 2 / 6
Inappropriate speedups and slowdowns. Sixteenths early on don't fit. One place in the middle, you crossed me over and left me
for dead.
The rest: 3 / 4
Graphics are basic. Song is generic Eurobeat. Beginner and videos.
Total: 5 / 10

[DDR] - Dragostea Din Tei
Heavy: 3.5 / 6
Very bland. Would have liked to see SOME part go to the music and not the words at some point.
The rest: 2.5 / 4
Art is fat guy. Song is worn out so bad. No extras.
Total: 6 / 10

[DDR] - DREAM OF YOU
Heavy: 4.5 / 6
I liked some of the advanced crossovers, but there were too many step-jumps and the sixteenth parts kept changing. The latter
rhythms I didn't follow, and the one in the beginning would have been MUCH better laid out like Twilight Zone than randomness.
The rest: 3.5 / 4
Graphics are very nice. Song is generic eurobeat. Some extras.
Total: 8 / 10

[DDR] - Emoticons
Heavy: 5.5 / 6
Very good, strong use of positioning and turns.
The rest: 3.5 / 4
Graphics and song are kitschy. Beginner is the only extra.
Total: 9 / 10

[DDR] - Genos Woods
Not scoring, conflict of interest
[DDR] - Go Berzerk
Heavy: 4 / 6
I liked some of the jack parts (although the last one was way too much right-footed) and the "go go go". I didn't like all the
step-jumps; they were too much. In the step-jump part near the end before the go's it changed pretty randomly.
The rest: 2.5 / 4
Art is pretty weak. Song is cool, but straight from IIDX (and a relatively weak rip). A few extras.
Total: 6.5 / 10

[DDR] - Golddiggers
Heavy: 4.5 / 6
I didn't hear some of the jacks or sixteenths you used. Most patterns were fine but overall a bit bland and uninspired.
The rest: 2.5 / 4
Art is generic but okay. Song is creepy. No extras. Sample's pretty poor.
Total: 7 / 10

[DDR] - Hikari
Heavy: 2.5 / 6
The spins at the beginning were the best patterened thing I saw - the rest was apparently sheer chaos. Sixteenths weren't
quite on either, it felt like.
The rest: 2 / 4
Graphics are totally generic. Song is YAY ANIME. Beginner and a movie. Sample's really bad.
Total: 4.5 / 10

[DDR] - Kagekiha
Heavy: 3 / 6
Mine are better. I can't tell what you're going to half the time, and I don't like the patterning, which I can't discern often
enough to separate it from EotC.
The rest: 4 / 4
Graphics are good. Song is sex. Doubles and a video. Wish the steps were better :-/
Total: 7 / 10

[DDR] - Last Regrets (Xmas Dance Mix)
Heavy: 5 / 6
Gives me a White Lovers feeling for no reason whatsoever. A few places could use a bit of smoothing out to keep the levels a
bit more constant (step-jumps) but it feels like a good warmup song.
Ugh fadeout.
The rest: 3 / 4
Art is again the easy way out. Song's okay if a shade bland. CDTitle only.
Total: 8 / 10

[DDR] - Let Me Stay
Heavy: 4 / 6
Generic and uninspired, but acceptable. Back off the step-jumps a hair.
The rest: 3 / 4
Graphics are pretty good. Song is generic. CDTitle only.
Total: 7 / 10

[DDR] - One Heart
Heavy: 4.5 / 6
Less crossovers and freeze spins in a 6, please. Pretty dry but that's what happens with a 6.
The rest: 2.5 / 4
Art is a neat idea, but could stand a better execution. Song is, sadly, still Celine Dion. A few extras.
Total: 7 / 10

[DDR] - Parasite World
Heavy: 1.5 / 6
Missing a third of the chart. Too many step jumps and other assorted trickeries for a pretty subdued song.
The rest: 1.5 / 4
BG's okay, but BN's pretty bad. Song's not too great, even for TERRA. No extras.
Total: 3 / 10

[DDR] - RADIO STAR
Heavy: 4.5 / 6
I don't quite see what the big deal is with this. It's pretty generic all over again. Solid, but doesn't feel like anything
I'd come back to much.
The rest: 3 / 4
Graphics are good. Song is generic stepfile-competition-grade eurodance. Beginner and a CDTitle.
Total: 7.5 / 10

[DDR] - Ragnarok Online TeMP it UP
Heavy: 3.5 / 6
Altogether too many step-jumps - the ones 3/16ths apart are nice though. Also, too much freeze'n'move for my tastes.
The rest: 2.5 / 4
Decent but cheap art. Song's okay but heavy-metal-ier than I usually like. No extras.
Total: 6 / 10

[DDR] - Rock Steady
Not scoring, my own file; if anyone's worried about my averages dragging things down give it a 6.1

[DDR] - Seven
Heavy: 2 / 6
Patterns are either double-steppy or back-and-forthy. Sixteenths are used inappropriately - one jack, DLU (hard to swing foot
so fast), and runs without proper transitions. Long section of just left and right. Needs much work.
The rest: 2.5 / 4
Fractal doesn't fit to me. Song is old and not one of Ashura's best. Beginner and CDTitle.
Total: 4.5 / 10

[DDR] - Shake It Down
Heavy: 5 / 6
Really fun in the beginning and end. I didn't care for the freeze walks, the jumps after the gallops, or the sketchy
patterning in the middle. Still solid.
The rest: 3.5 / 4
Graphics are bland and basic but fit the song. Song is the same as most other Good-Cool songs. Good quantity of extras.
Total: 8.5 / 10

[DDR] - The Great Blue Sky and the Stars Above
Heavy: 2.5 / 6
No beat in the song leaves you with pretty little to work with. This leaves it pretty bland. The steps are bipolar, going from
simple quarters on a freeze to twelfths and sixteenths.
The rest: 2 / 4
Banner needs work. BG is cheap but okay. Song is dry for DDR, and it's a bad cut. A few extras.
Total: 4.5 / 10

[DDR] - These Emotions
Heavy: 2 / 6
Kill the slow part. There's no music to go to and the freeze'n'move is annoying. Too many step-jumps after the slow part. Goes
on too long, and the steps continue into the fadeout. Also some glitchiness in the patterning.
The rest: 2.5 / 4
Graphics are cool, but cheap (and slapped together to reference the song in addition to the album). Song is bland and dull and
doesn't DDR well.
Total: 6 / 10

[DDR] - Tori no Uta
Heavy: 4.5 / 6
I don't know what you were going for with the sixteenths; I certainly heard something else in the background. Regardless,
decent, but pretty generic again.
The rest: 2.5 / 4
BG as transition (I've done it before), generic banner. Song is okay (YAY ANIME). A few extras.
Total: 7 / 10

[DDR] - Under The Sea
Heavy: 4 / 6
(Actually played in the editor due to reload). Interesting. Kinda Only You-ish. Some pof the chaos is sketchy (the chorus
especially). Patterns are a bit repetitive and the end drags its heels a bit.
The rest: 2.5 / 4
Art is surprisingly good. Song is an interesting interpretation. Sample is off. Not much for extras.
Total: 6.5 / 10

[DDR] - You Raise Me Up
Heavy: 3 / 6
Neither the beginning nor end have enough instruments to warrant steps, and the middle is just generic eighth notes to generic
anthem trance. Needs more sixteenths there, desperately.
The rest: 3 / 4
Art is good. Song is apparently not LOL JESUS, but is still generic anthem trance. CDTitle only. Are you sure it's TASMIN and not JASMIN (you're consistent but I can't help but
get the feeling something's lost in translation)?
Total: 6 / 10

plz let this be in time

Files reviewed on the fly, then translated from whatever gibbering notes I scribbled down after each song. Most songs are on first-or-second-impression, first-few-plays, heavy step review. My skills are mid-9 on pad, mid-10 on KB.

Graphics + supergraphics (videos) + song choice = Tilt. If I don't say something about a particular thing, assume I either didn't notice it or it wasn't outstanding enough to warrant mention (probably why I didn't notice it).

24
Pros: The skippy parts I kinda liked. The whole LED light TV show reference was a risk, not necessarily being related to the song except by name (see also Kagekiha and, at least at first impression, Blow Me Away), but it was abstract enough to work.
Cons: Just a minor one, but I think a BPM slowdown could have been warranted and was almost expected.
Steps: 5/6
Tilt: 4/4
Total: 9/10

Action Radius
Pros: The syncopated step-jump part at the beginning was good, for a bit. And there were some interesting rhythms that I can sort of see becoming a legit 10, but...
Cons: Ridiculous 10. Some hard 16th streams (a lot of that in this bracket), especially in the middle. I noticed some evil little Night in Motion jumps in the middle too. The long empty pauses need something there, at least a (longer) freeze arrow. Also, the samplestart is a bit short. But it was the middle that killed it for me. And you.
Steps: 3/6
Tilt: 2/4
Total: 5/10

Ai~n!
Pros: Pretty fun song, nice graphics, WTF crosseyed japanese guy in a jpop factory
Cons: The song was sort of repetitive (it's starting to grow on me), and very hard for a 9, especially at the end. I would ease up on the 5-note 16th stream at the beginning of the intro/outro, and make the repeated ending arpeggio easier. Otherwise, we're edging on 10 territory.
Steps: 3.5/6
Graphics: 4/4
Total: 7.5/10

Blow Me Away
Pros: The steps were okay in parts, I guess. Once it got near the first chorus, the steps were tolerable.
Cons: 16th bursts. The section with them (the bridge) went on for too long. Also, the Halo 2 product placement was a bit too blatant (yes, I know it's a Halo 2 related song, but like I said in 24, first impressions). Also, the font is hard to read, both because of the design of the typeface and because the contrast is way too low. Oh, and the BPM... yeah, I think doubling the BPM hurt, not just directly but indirectly, since I think it kind of affected your choice of what to follow in the music, making for some very karaoke steps in the beginning.
Steps: 2.5/6
Tilt: 2/4
Total: 4.5/10

Disco
Pros: Pretty fun, albeit short, BM song.
Cons: Kind of corny. LOL FURRY. The steps don't follow the song in toughness; it should have been easier and groovier. Ladies and gentlemans, this is why you don't let KB file makers make pad steps. You can't look at those 5-note 16th streams and piles of 3-note streams and, hell, the jump-step stream, and tell me this wasn't made with KB feeling in mind. In other problems, you forgot a no-steps lead in. Also, the graphics were unmatched between banner and BG.
Steps: 2/6
Tilt: 1.5/4
Total: 3.5/10

Domino
Pros: Whoo eurobeat. Nice use of videos. Nice plain graphics. Most of the steps were okay.
Cons: 16ths >. Ricockulous ricockulous 16ths in the long intro (which I didn't mind - the intro itself - just the steps.) Also, BPM fucktardedness. The steps during that fucktardedness aren't too obvious, especially when you essentially force the Flat modifier there, even (especially) on a C bpm mod. I took the BPM out manually myself, but I think that fucked up the sync of the videos. I'm blaming that on you. (It's my tilt, I can do what I want with it, and it was either your BPM or your videos so nyah.)
Steps: 3.5/6
Tilt: 3/4
Total: 6.5/10

Dragostea
Pros: lol o-zone.
Cons: lol brolsma. In addition: the typeface was kind of plain, kind of like the old DDRUK versions of Aromdaon 21C's background. The graphics didn't match between BG and BN, and trust me, with Mr. Brolsma in there, using your extra wouldn't have helped. The steps were pretty karaoke.
Steps: 3/6
Tilt: 3/4
Total: 6/10

Dream
Pros: Great graphics, the easier parts of the song were quite fun.
Cons: "Apparently, 16ths." That's what I had here for so long, and now on replay I remember why. You overdid it on the intro-outro, way too Flash in the Night style. Unfortunately, one part like this can ruin it for the rest of the song, because if I can't play one part of the song there's no point in playing the rest. However, I'm assuming the other steps were similarly fun but less OMGWTF16THS.

Emoticons
Pros: Good graphics, fun song, rather fun steps.
Cons: I guess the use of the stupid OMG DOWNLOAD 1000 EMOTICONS FOR FREE graphics earn a bit of negative tilt.
Steps: 6/6
Tilt: 3.7/4
Total: 9.7/10

Geno's Woods
Pros: The graphics were okay, I suppose, and SMRPG ftw.
Cons: There was no real beat for a good part of the song, and the steps went back and forth from too light and boring and slight Beatmania syndrome. That long 16th stream is very NO.

Go Berserk
Pros: don't just stand don't just stand don't just stand don't just stand don't just stand don't just stand don't just okay some of the patterns were fun, at least on keyboard.
Cons: You gotta get a good audio rip next time, man. Also, the XXY YYZ steps seemed a bit hard to get spot on, and there was a freeze-to-jump transition that tripped me up something fierce. There was some step-jump-stream action that was a bit too hard on pad. Also, lol random anime graphix with cheap filter

Golddiggers
Pros: So this is the tra-la-la guy? Pretty fun song, okay steps. SImple but decent graphics.
Cons: The middle felt too short, and the ending was too abrupt. A slightly different cut would have helped, or a similar song with less abrupt pacing.

Hikari
Pros: Um, nice presentation of readme info. If you're going to be fancy, go all out, I suppose.
Cons: lol anime, lol 16ths, lol no lead-in, lol TV show subtitle, lol forced stream spins, and just for the hell of it lol furry. The graphics were bland and didn't match between BG and BN, and the font face was a bit hard to read.
Steps: 2/6

Kagekiha
Pros: lolrxevan; also, this is how you work definitive sourced graphics into a background without being blatant like Blow Me Away. Also, nice use of videos, although you can kind of tell subtly which videos are from DDR, even without having seen the originals.
Cons: I just put "meh" here, which I believe translated to "it was okay but too hard for me so I'm going to compare it to Exotic Ethnic and move on". Later on, during keyboard, I'm putting "I think it went offsync at the end, or maybe the stream was too confusing to hold steadily and that threw me off", "where's the flow?", "the beginning had some confusing parts that stressed the upbeat too unexpectedly", and "yeah it's pretty much exotic ethnic".

Last Regrets
Pros: Good song, okay steps.
Cons: The curse of the mid-foot song: a bit too boring (in general and) for an 8, but a bit too hard for a 7. Also, lol anime

Let Me Stay
Pros: The graphics were okay, at least by new home version standards.
Cons: Karaoke during the vocals, and inconsistent during the instrumental. The vocalist is kind of annoying.

One Heart
Pros: Clever background, fun steps, and nice, easily-adaptable-to spins. I dunno why, but I really liked the spins. I also liked seeing a song I can cool down to.
Cons: I think the beginning was a bit lacking in terms of pulling me in and making me want to play. Also, something about the graphics seemed a bit lacking (maybe a pattern to blend in over everything, something subtle and patterned). As for that "banner is background cut" comment someone gave you, I think it's fully justified, given the nature of the background. I mean, come on, what was (s?)he supposed to do? Move the heart?

Parasite
Cons: Didn't really like the song that much, especially the hard-to-hear vocals. The graphics... here's a tip - either find a friend who has Photoshop or tool around with the GIMP for a few days. Maybe both, cause maybe the guy with PS has some graphic design pointers. Also, the steps were a bit hard and sort of unfi

Radio
Pros: Tight graphics, good song, fun steps. Feels like an easy (and more fun) Dam Dariram, and I believe the 4th Mix/Solo comments I've heard would also apply here. I wonder what the original song is (since we all know how much DJ Miko loves him some covers).
Cons: None that I can see, really. If anything, I guess maybe the 4th-16th-8th rhythm was a bit overused?

Rock
Pros: interesting choice of song. The slower patter was pretty fun, and for a hard song it was surprisingly easy. (You know what I mean. Reasonably hard, and matching the song.) Good graphics, and as always thanks for the graphic attribution.
Cons: boo bpm gimmicks
Steps: 4/6

Se7en
Pros: the fonts were good i guess
Cons: Someone took "slap some filters 'n text on a fractal render" a bit literally. Just a watchout - I was originally going to put "no graphics matchup" here, although that doesn't apply, I suppose. Past that, 2 step issues arise. First, MORE 16THS. Not only were there just general bad 16ths, but I swear I saw an XYXYXYXYY in 16ths. At this speed, 16ths do NOT jackhammer. Alsoalso, Drop Out Oni syndrome at the end. I only play Drop Out oni when I want Drop Out's steps but not their tempo, which is rarely and when I want to bring up the Nonstop glitch. Oh, and the beginning felt very unflowing, like somebody put the steps on shuffle before I played.

Shake
Pros: The song was good, *and* cool. More nice use of videos; it really felt like DDR video pacing. The banner is nice, feels fun, and reminds me of (somewhat obviously) Spin the Disc. These are how you do groovy IIDX song steps. Eggman, I'm looking at you.
Cons: The stpes were a bit easy and bland in parts. The background is very sparse.
Steps: 4.5/6
Tilt: 4/6
Total: 8.5/6

TeMP
Pros: The song's energetic enough, and the graphics are pretty tight, I guess.
Cons: The song was a bit too "lol we can't do anything else with the song" jump-heavy. Is Ragnarok Online really part of the title of the song? No? Then don't use it. The graphics don't match, outside of the fact that it's all ragnarok. The way you presented the artist in the background is a bit redundant, or unnecessary, or something. Usually a slightly different setting of the text is all that's needed, not "X by Y". As much as I'll allow the artist, the game title was definitely unnecessary. Also, someone mentioned the artist being wrong.
Steps: 3/6

Bluesky
Pros: Well, Kirby Super Star *was* a good game, I'll give you that, but...
Cons: No! Bad stepper! We do not use rips of SNES or chiptune soundtracks unles we're sampling them elsewhere! (i.e. Salamander BCM, Burning Heat and Twinbee) I know OCR says (or said) that gaming audio is longevous, but not like this. Also, the beginning was highly karaoke. (I believe this is why we don't do chiptunes.) I found myself literally rolling my eyes as I followed the steps. Then following the melody became bad 16ths by the end.
Steps: 1.5/6
Tilt: 1/4
Total: 2.5/10

These Emotions
Pros: interesting song choice, I suppose.
Cons: The slowdown brought with it some bad Orion.78 steps, some of which went to barely-audible vocals.Oh, and you stepped to the fadeout, even though that fadeout definitely signified the end of the song. It was too hard for a 7. The graphics were a bit plain.
Steps: 3/6
Tilt: 2/4
Total: 5/10

Torinouta
Pros: lol sharpnel in TM4+. Good steps for the song.
Cons: The steps in the middle were meh, I think, but that might have been because I wasn't familiar with that part since the TM4+ version didn't use it. Also, the banner was very monotone, in that the song info didn't stand out well at all.
Steps: 4.5/6
Tilt: 2.5/4
Total: 7/10

Under the Sea
Pros: Thank you for not using the Disney kids' version that they showed during Disney Channel commercials or whatever with Raven Symone singing it.
Cons: 16ths, especially when you got into the bridge rap. The samplestart was off too. The graphics were plain.
Steps: 3.5/6
Tilt: 2/4
Total: 5.5/10

You Raise
Pros: lol dannyboy, the steps the steps are calling; also graphics were good. Oh, and jammitch!, I do believe it *is* Tasmin. Remember Against All Odds? Remember I Don't Want to Miss a Thing? Remember My Heart Will Go On (if you got it before nDDRo went under)?
Cons: Actually, that should be a con since I never liked the source song (YRMU, not Danny Boy, even though they're practically the same and it's all just Londonderry Air), but whatever, I'll give it to you. It was a bit hard for it's sound, especially the end which really quieted down (see Disco Dog, but less so).

First post was too big. Here are the rest.

Seven
Heavy: Some of the jumps were fun and the parts were it followed the lower notes. However, the fast jumps together and the piano steps weren’t fun. Some were too quick and the piano notes were either too far between or two close. .5/2
Standard: This fit the music a lot better. Some of the 4er-8th-4er step groupings seemed awkward though. 1/2
Light: Kinda like standard except you hit the accents instead of every note. Unfortunately this left a few voids toward the end. But these were well done. 1.5/2
Tilt: I like the song, but it sounds hard to make steps to. I think you did good for what you had to work with though. Graphic reminded me of what a cold probably looks like. 2/4
Total: 5/10

Shake It Down
Heavy: Funky, man. Superb steps – took full advantage of all the fun rhythms. Loved the rhythm at the faster part. 2/2
Standard: Thanks for keeping some of the non quarter rhythms in here. Enough was taken out but enough was left in. 2/2
Light: It really is ok, but I caught myself daydreaming through the first half of this. There could be a little more variety. The pattern of three quarters then a pause is fine, but it needs to be broken up more. 1.5/2
Tilt: Now that is a long readme. The song worked well to make really interesting steps. The videos were cool, but those creepy light up people doing aerobics scared me at first. It was like they were trapped in the game and trying to get out. The background image reminded me of that girl on those thin cheap mats…heh. This file was a lot of fun. One of my favorites now. 3.5/4
Total: 9/10

The Great Blue Sky And The Stars Above
Heavy: Shhhh….. can you keep a secret? I liked this. Some things though: The gallops got annoying at the end and the rapid arrow part during the main Kirby theme seemed too chaotic for the music. 1.5/2
Standard: Thank you for not putting gallops all the way through. You got them out of your system at the beginning. Steps were fine but some seemed arbitrary. 1/2
Light: These followed the music quite well. They were actually more fun than standard. I see Kirby kept his horse shape through the beginning as well. 1.5
Tilt: I’m amazed at how well this suits steps, or you managed to make it work quite well. Background could use more polish. And the music itself would be a LOT better if it was higher quality. It sounds so out of place. 2/4

These Emotions
My File.

Tori no Uta
Heavy: I like your patterns throughout the song. But if you are going to follow the vocals, please follow the vocals. When you switch back to regular rhythm halfway through a vocal phrase it throws everything off. Some of the rhythms SOUND good with assist tick on, but the steps by themselves are strange and seem separated from the music sometimes. 1/2
Standard: These steps were a lot of fun. The two off beat jumps at the very beginning were off. 1.5/2
Light: I liked the second half. There was a lot of jumping though. And the jumps at the beginning were not fun because they were separated by a lot of nothing. It was hard to get into. 1/2
Tilt: I thought my apartment was floating away for a second there when the clouds started moving. Sneaky! Anywho, there were problems with the beginning across the board here. Liked the video in the beginning though. Catchy song, but it would benefit more if there was more going on musically besides a bass and vocal for steps. 2.5/4
Total: 6.0/10

Under the Sea
Heavy: I really liked the rhythm, and all the steps in general were fun, but it kept going and going and going of more of the same. There were other things you could have followed here. 1/2
Standard: These steps did a great job building up throughout the file towards the end. A lot of fun. 2/2
Light: These were fine. Suffers from a slow BPM as the steps are rather excruciatingly apart. 1.5/2
Tilt: Throughout the past week I kept going by this file without playing it thinking, “that is an A*Teens song?” The preview threw me off. It might have been better with an actual singing part with the title in the lyrics. I love how the song ends showing the “cleared” screen. It goes “woo” just as everything goes to scoring. Heh… I don’t know why but it cracks me up. Overall this was quite fun. 3.5/4
Total: 8/10

You Raise Me Up
Heavy: I liked the steps, but there was a bit too much action at the quiet parts in the beginning. 1/2
Standard: Steps were ok. Nothing spectacular. 1.5/2
Light: For me these were more fun than standard. I think it went with the music better. 1.5/2
Tilt: Is it me, or is this amazingly like “Wind Beneath My Wings”? It is almost exactly the same! The lyrics are just as sappy and clichéd too… Anyway, this sounds reeeally really absurd at the cut. It sounds like someone suddenly suddenly put a gun to her back and she suddenly jumps up a key… Like the background a lot. That looks cool – fits the song well. 2.5/4
Total: 6.5/10

PLEASE READ BEFORE READING REVIEWS:

I'll start off with some things to say concerning my personal reviews. First, I did not do any of the files on a pad. I do have a Smart Joy USB addapter, but I live in a 3rd floor apartment. Well, you can imagine how much noise it would make testing all the files in this bracket. Second, I graded the steps in a certain way. The maximum points you could get for each chart were as follows: light 1/1, standard 2/2, and heavy 3/3 to make a total of 6/6. I staggered my scores because I believe that heavy is more advanced than standard, and standard is more advanced than light. Plus, by the majority of the public, most people in this compitition favor to play a heavy chart more than standard or light. I, myself, also favor heavy over the rest of the charts. The lowest I graded were as follows: light 0/1, standard .5/2, and heavy 1/3. I left space for standard and heavy because charts that were unfinished diserve a lower grade than charts that were finished. Even though there was only one chart in this bracket that was unfinished, and it was also only for heavy, I still wanted to give credit for those who made bad stepcharts, but at least finished them. The only reased why I wouldn't give credit for a light chart is if it was very, very poorly done. Finally, I graded the "Everything else" section pased on a method of giving points. The 3 main parts of my evaluation for the "Everything else" section were: Graphics, CD-Title, and Song choice. The max points for them were: +2, +.5, and +1. You might notice that if you got the maximum ammount of points for these 3 main parts, your score would still not equal up to 4/4. Instead, it would be 3.5/4. I did this in case of fairity. It only equals up to 3.5/4 because even if you have all 3 of these, you don't have anything extra (beginner charts, lyrics, videos). Not everyone knows how to make great graphics, or pick a nice song, so I gave them room for more points by giving, or taking away, extra points. The extra point names and values are as follows (these are in the order as if a simfle had every single extra):

-Beginner steps +.5
-Challenge steps +1
-Edit steps +1
-Video +2 (I took away points only if there were random videos from DDR)
-Lyrics +.5
-Bonus Graphics and Extras +.5 (if you had an extra folder in your simfile)
-Synching -.5

You can get the exact points givin, or taken, to or from your score if it is neccessary. If any of the following is not very good, incomplete, or shown but not there (i.e. an edit with no steps), you will get no points, or you will not get the maximum points. I hope this intro will help you with any questions while you read this post(s). I hope I've graded fairly to everyone in B1 (hey, that rhymes!... yah, I'm tired...)!

24

Steps: 3.5/6

Light steps: .5/1 Pretty average chart here. You had too many freezes for my liking though. Some felt a little too long for a light stepchart. Your overall 4ths were alright. Here's a part where I'm deducting points. You had a bit of jumps for a light 2, but you even had side-jumps (i.e. left, down and right, up). Light dosen't use a lot of side-jumps. Especially in a 2 footer. You did an alright job on this. However, your jumps and freezes held your score back.

Standard steps: 1.25/2 These were ok. The freezes were fine, except when you had two 8th jumps where the second was a freeze. I didn't like this. It increased the difficulty more than it should've. Your other jumps were alright. Your 8ths were ok, but IMO, I think you used them a bit too much. It was ok though since the song is only 96bpm.

Heavy steps: 1.75/3 I'm guessing the only reason why this is a 7 is because of those really weird, out of nowhere 32nd notes, huh? I guess they followed the beat of the song, but DDR hardly uses these. Well, I really didn't like these that much. The steps lacked orriginality in some places and got kind of boring. A bit of the freezes were awkward too. Some of the jumps could have been better, but at least they had some rythm with the song. The steps were just ok.

Everything else: 2.5/4
-Graphics +1 They're alright. Nothing special.
-CD-Title +.5 It's there.
-Song choice +1 A creative song choice. I liked this song. When a song gets slow like this, it can get a bit creative in song choice.
-Beginner steps +.5 I was expecting these to be a bit easier since the song is slower, but these were still alright.
-Lyrics +.5 Lyrics can make a song a bit more attractive.

Total: 6/10 This was an overall ok file. It's not one of the better ones though.

Action Radius

Steps: 1.75/6

Light steps: 0/1 These were just really bad. You used sooo many 8ths in here. It probably should've been a 6 because of so much 8th usage. There were a lot of 8th triplets throughout the song. I didn't like how you went crazy with the 8ths in the beginning, but went a lot easier at the end with more 4ths. Your freezes felt alright though. This felt nothing close to a DDR light chart.

Standard steps: .75/2 These were really hard. Your standard steps could've been your heavy steps since they were so hard! These should've been a 7 with all of those 16ths in there. The jumps weren't good for standard, the 16ths weren't good for standard, and the freezes weren't good for standard. Your freezes were very weird. They really only came at the end. There you started using tons of freezes. For me, these were pretty mediocre.

Heavy steps: 1/3 Woah... These felt really weird. It's a 10, but the song nowhere near diserves a 10 for heavy. You could have made steps that would have been a solid 8 for the song. Instead, you went with a 10 which seems strange to me. The jumps didn't flow well with the 16ths almost at all. The steps seemed a bit random and repetitive at places. You could have improved the use of freezes with 8ths and 16ths in the freeze at the same time. I was just a bit dissapointed with this step chart.

Everything else: .5/4
-Graphics +.5 I didn't like these very much.
-CD-Title +0 No gimme point for you.
-Song choice +0 The song was just strange... Not a very DDR feel for the song.

Total: 2.25/10 Sorry, but this is probably my least favorite file.

Ai~n! Dance no Uta

Steps: 3.75/6

Light steps: .75/1 Very good chart here! I liked how you used a lot of 4ths in the beginning and end, with a few jumps too, but lowered the difficulty during the chorus so this would be a 4 footer. I liked the few jumps you used. You didn't use side-jumps (for example, look at 24 light) which was good. They probably wouldn't have fit in here. This was pretty fun overall.

Standard steps: 1.25/2 I liked some of your patterns you used in here, but others got somewhat hard. In the beginning and end eurobeat parts, the steps were a lot harder than your overall chart. You should've lowered the ammount of 8ths you used in the beginning and end. The middle was good though. When they sang, "Ai~n, ai~n, ai~n, ai~n, ai~n!" your 8ths flowed well with the lyrics. These steps only lacked when your 8ths got too strong.

Heavy steps: 1.75/3 Hmm... Seemed alright overall. I can tell you tried to make this into a eurobeat sort of chart since it has a eurobeat jingle in the beginning and end, but it just got a little bit out of hand. There were way too many 16ths in my oppinion. I guess the flowed fine with the song, but it just felt so weird having so many 16ths even though this is a 9. The freezes were executed well, and the rest of the 8th short and longer runs were well. The only part you missed a lot of points on were the 16ths. Oh yah, and the jumps were a little hard during the middle. I'm not docking points because it was hard, though I am docking because the flow wasn't right.

Everything else: 4/4
-Graphics +1 They are average. The appeal makes sense since this is a Japanese song.
-CD-Title +.5 And here's 1 gimme point for you!
-Song choice +.5 A hillarious song, but didn't seem to fit DDR that well.
-Video +2 YAY! Such a funny video. A 2-pointer for this nice add-on.
-Lyrics +.5 Cool. Let's sing in Japanese!

Total: 7.75/10 A pretty good file oveall. Your "Everything else" helped your score a lot.

Blow Me Away

Steps: 1.75/6

Light steps: .25/1 These really should've been a 4 or even a 5 because of all the jumps and freezes. You used way too many jumps in this. I didn't like that 8th jump in the middle. You only used 9 side-jumps out of like 60+ oveall jumps, so it didn't get too difficult. I was concerned about how many freezes you used. Light dosen't have freezes this often like your steps did. I still liked these at a few places, but dislike overruled my like for your simfile.

Standard steps: .5/2 Ok, now this REALLY should've been a 7. A chart that has 354 combo with soooo many weird freezes sounds like a 7 or even an easy 8 for standard, don't you think? The freezes were just really off. They had nearly no point. Some freezes worked, but others just were placed out of nowhere. I just don't understand why you used sooo many freezes. Your jump freezes weren't put in right. When there was a 4th note, 8th note, then 4th freeze jump, this didn't really fit in. I really disliked this chart.

Heavy steps: 1/3 Sooooo many freezes it made my head spin... These were terrible man. The freezes were so unnecessary in almost all the places you placed them. The 8ths were inconsitent with the whole chart. The streams only started to appear in the middle. It wasn't spread out neatly. And here's one very good point to make, never put 16ths like that EVER in a DDR song unless: 1) It's a 10, or 2) It is extreamly right to do so. Use methods like these with caution. These reasons are why your heavy steps diserve a 1.

Everything else: 1/4
-Graphics +.5 No, they just weren't good.
-CD-Title +.5 It is in your simfile, yes?
-Song choice +0 A Halo song? Weird... not very like DDR.

Total: 2.75/10 Not very well made overall. Graphics weren't very great, song didn't fit, and steps lacked experience.

Disco Dog

Steps: 3.5/6

Light steps: .5/1 This was a pretty average chart for me. I didn't like how you had no breaks in the song, well if you didn't count freezes as a break. It was just 4th after 4th with some jumps added in. I guess this was ok for a 4 footer, but it just didn't really work for me. The freezes were ok. Your jumps were pretty hard at places, but others were fine. You had an overall good use of your 4ths, but I still stay with the oppinion of this being a little average.

Standard steps: 1.25/2 The 8ths in your chart got very hard at points. In the beginning, where you had short 8ths and then jumps, this could've been considered a 7. The 8ths got pretty difficult. The freezes were alright, some went right and others didn't. You put a little too much freezes in the beginning though, and they didn't flow very well for me. The end wasn't that bad. In the end, it changed the difficulty to be more of a 6. This chart was ok for me. I liked it better than your heavy one.

Heavy steps: 1.75/3 I think your just really used to making keyboard files. These were almost painfully hard for such a fun song like this. If you counted these as challenge and made an easier heavy chart, I would've given you better points. The 16ths were too hard for DDR. You could have followed the beat more and not have made use of so much short 16th runs (like 8th, 16th, 8th). There were even some very awkward 5 note long 16ths (4th, 16th, 8th, 16th, 4th) that hurt the enjoyment of the file. The jumps at the end were unneeded. I guess some parts were alright. The rest of the 8ths seemed ok. I didn't seem to like this over the majority of the files.

Everything else: 3/4
-Graphics +1.25 The banner looks good. The backround is freaky. Is that the dog from Chuck E. Cheese?
-CD-Title +.5 It's Eggman's cd-title! Yah, I'm still giving gimme points.
-Song choice +1 I liked it. Hooray, Asletics! Seemed like an alright song for a more undertone DDR mix (DDR solo 2000, DDR Ultramix)
-Beginner steps +.25 These steps didn't follow the DDR rules. Yes, you can now have freezes for beginner, but you cannot have a 4th note during a freeze. Other than this, these were alright.

Total: 6.5/10 An interesting file, but your steps need work on.

Domino

Steps: 3.5/6

Light steps: .5/1 Some of your 4ths didn't seem overall consistent in this chart. You used 4th small streams at some places that worked, but at other places that really needed more 4ths, you didn't use them. Your freezes were not all bad. But at the really fast and unneeded bpm change, your freezes were not too great. Your jumps were average. Your single jumps worked. When you had 3 jumps in a row, this is the part that didn't work. Your 8ths could've been executed better for a light player to get the beat of the 8ths. This was ok for me.

Standard steps: 1.25/2 These were ok. Your freezes were Alvin sung "Domino, domino..." were interesting, but didn't really seem like they fit. Your jumps were allright; some got hard but others were ok. The part I really didn't like too much was the beginning. You started with 1 or 2 16ths which was ok, but then you added a little more to seem like a heavy chart. Your 8ths were good. They didn't get that difficult. This chart wasn't that bad for me.

Heavy steps: 1.75/3 (Why are there so many hard songs in a row?...) Aw man. The beginning was such a good start. Too bad this didn't continue afterwards... The 2 bpm changes were really unneeded. You could've had the whole song as 162bpm and this would've been fine. The 8ths were good for a 9, and the 16ths didn't get that hard. These were a plus. But as the song went on, the feel for the steps got lost. If you just kept everything close to beginning steps (before the song sped up), I would've really liked these.

Everything else: 4/4
-Graphics +1.5 Good, good, pretty good! It just got wasn't perfect.
-CD-Title +.5 .5 freebie points for you.
-Song choice +1 Yay! Eurobeat goodness! This really fits DDR well
-Beginner steps +.25 Uh... these didn't follow the rules either. In the slowdown, you had a 4th note for every beat. Even though the song is only 81bpm, DDR dosen't allow this. These were ok otherwise.
-Video +1.5 Only random movies (except for that domino one), but it certainly did work for the song.

Total: 7.5/10 Pretty well done with your "Everything else" part, but you could've done better with the steps.

Dragostea Din Tei

Steps: 2.75/6

Light steps: .25/1 Like Disco Dog, there were barely any breaks in this. You have to remember that light steps have to have more breaks in their chart. You had too many side-jumps for a light 3. You really had too many jumps in total for a 3. Some of your 4ths worked, but again they didn't seem right without many breaks. You could've improved this chart a bit.

Standard steps: 1/2 These seemed a little bit like the heavy steps. The groove radar for both of the charts look strangely alike... Your 8th jumps in the beginning were ok, but then they got too repetitive and offbeat for standard. What I mean by offbeat is that standard players are usually used to 4th notes. So, if you keep using 8th notes that don't go straight into a 4th note, that throws the player off their comfortable beat. Your 8th little streams near the end got a little too difficult for a 5. Especially since there were hardly any breaks in the steps.

Heavy steps: 1.5/3 Just a little below averaged stepset for a 7 heavy. There's really nothing special about this. The 8ths could've been improved to follow the great beat this song has. When you followed the lyrics with a 2 note 8th stream near the very beginning, it got really annoying since this is all you really did. The jumps were ok. This chart didn't really surprise me. I guess when a song like "Dragostea Din Tei" has been re-made and re-made by different sim artists, it's just hard not to compare.

Everything else: 1.5/4
-Graphics +.75 An airplane??? I guess the bg was alright so I'll give credit for that.
-CD-Title +0 Aww, no gimme point.
-Song choice +.25 I like the song, but it's just soooo unorriginal. Now, how many times has this song been made into a stepfile? Let's count...
-Edit steps +0 Er... there are none? This was probably just an accident, right?
-Bonus Graphics and Extras +.5 I'll give you credit for these little extras. I think I now know why you stuck with the airplane for the banner.

Total: 4.25/10 Not very great overall. You should work on your steps for a better grade.

DREAM OF YOU

Steps: 3.75/6

Light steps: .75/1 Awsome chart, but 256 combo is a lot for light. Your beginning and end were very good. I just didn't like the chorus. Your freezes were a little hard with those 4ths in them. You used a bit of side-jumps. However, most of them worked. If you kept the rest of your chart like your beginning, I probably would have given you a 1. Your steps increased in difficulty too much for me so I'll stick with a .75. IMO, the best light so far.

Standard steps: 1.25/2 Even though this chart is a 7, the combo for this should not approach 400 combo! o.O These got too hard for standard. It seemed like a La Senorita Virtual edit for standard, which is an 8. This chart should have been considered an 8. These could probably even be a heavy chart! There were hardly any breaks in the steps. Your jumps were alright overall, but at places they increased in difficulty too much. The 2 freezes you had in the middle didn't seem to fit. Maybe 1 4th freezes would've fit better. This was still a pretty solid stepchart otherwise, but it was just to hard for a standard.

Heavy steps: 1.75/3 Argh... why are these heavy 9's just soooo hard? Hey it's the_ditz! Well, I'm a little bit dissapointed in this. The freezes were executed well with the beat and mood of the song. Well, there was only 1 or 2 freezes right? The 8ths were nice too, considering this is a 9. But once again the 16ths got out of hand. I know these songs are eurobeat guys, but that dosen't mean you have to put in 16ths whenever the beat feels for it. Remember, people need to be able to do these songs on pad. The ITG compition is over... I'm not saying these are ITG styled steps though. The jumps were good with the song, but once again, the 16ths just took away the fun and exitement of the overall file. This is just another 1.75 rated heavy in this compitition.

Everything else: 4/4
-Graphics +2 Really nice graphics, the_ditz!
-CD-Title +.5 Yup.
-Song choice +1 I liked it. It seemed to be like a DDR eurobeat song.
-Beginner steps +.5 IMO, a pretty hard 2 for beginner. It was interesting and fun for a beginner.
-Lyrics +.5 Yay, I can finally sing along with ALVIN!

Total: 7.75/10 Same rating as A~in! Dance no Uta. I'm not sure which one I like better.

I'll continue in my other posts (darn you 20,000 character limit )

Next post. Here we go.

Emoticons

Steps: 4.75/6

Light steps: .75/1 I really liked these. The freezes made the steps really fun, but IMO, I think you used a bit too much. Your side-jumps in the beginning felt weird, but your other jumps were good. I really liked your 4ths. They made your file fun, like your freezes did. You had a good feel for the song by using a lot of freezes. Good job at making a nice light chart.

Standard steps: 1.5/2 This was a pretty well done chart. You 8ths were pretty consistent, and your freezes worked well with the song. Your jumps were alright too, considering that this is a 6 footer. Some of your 8ths got too hard for standard. 8th steps like left, up, down, right should've been turned into something like left, up, left, down to lower the difficulty of the steps. These were very fun overall. Your song helps a lot in making your steps fun. I liked this chart the best so far.

Heavy steps: 2.5/3 Yay, the highest rated heavy so far! I really liked these. And finally, a eurobeat without crazy 16ths. Phew. The freezes were fun, and the 8ths were good. The only parts where I didn't like were the feezes in the beginning (which just didn't seem right for me), and how many turns this song had. I felt like spinning the whole time I played this. The difficulty was a little hard for a 7, but this was ok. I really liked how you kept the stepchart simplistic during the chorus where it really needed it. Then, you brang the difficulty up near the end and also in the beginning. I really liked these, it's just that you slipped in a few minor places.

Everything else: 3.25/4
-Graphics +2 Such happy graphics! ^_^
-CD-Title +0 Sorry, none here.
-Song choice +1 2 words: Loved it!
-Beginner steps +.25 This would probably be one of the harder 1 beginners if it was in DDR. I didn't like how you kept using those 5 4th note in a row steps. DDR dosen't use these very often in beginner. The freezes were nice.

Total: 8/10 Your steps carried your score to a high level. Best sim so far!

Geno's Woods

Steps: 3/6

Light steps: .5/1 These were alright. You had a nice use of 4th notes in here. It really seemed like a 3 footer to me. The very few jumps that you used fit well with the song. I just didn't like your freezes. They were too long for a light chart and maybe too difficult. Your breaks were ok, but I think you should've spred them out more. I think this is your best chart for this sim.

Standard steps: 1/2 What was with your monster 8th streams? I didn't like these very much. The song is very slow, but that doesn't mean you should add in soo many 8ths to the steps, since this is a standard 5 btw. Your really long freezes had too much of a gap and break from the song. I really hated how you had 8th jumps after your freezes. This dosen't make the song very... well, 5'ish. Your really long 8th double step stream reminded me of R3, the HEAVY steps for R3. These were not completely terrible, but they sure need more work on.

Heavy steps: 1.5/3 These were just way too hard for an 8. Yes, this is only a 100bpm song, but that dosen't mean you have to bombard it with 16ths when the song feels for a 16th stream. These basically got deducted points mainly becuase of it's difficulty. There was just too much of this for a DDR pad song. If you had this as a 9 or even a 10, with a bit more 16ths of course, then this would've gotten a higher grade. The steps were alright in the beginning, but they lacked on their way towards the end. The freezes weren't very great either. The little short ones always annoy me on a DDR edit. These could've been improved to fit with DDR more.

Everything else: 2/4
-Graphics +1 Alright. Average graphics for OSC5.
-CD-Title +.5 And here's your gimme points. Lol, Super Mario RPG for the cd-title.
-Song choice +.5 Well, not a real DDR type of song. It's interresting though. I'm just used to it being in KBMP.

Total: 5/10 Hmm... 5/10 points. Seems completely in the middle. Average.

Go Berserk

Steps: 3/6

Light steps: .25/1 These were not very good. You started ok from the beginning, but then your steps just got too hard. It is a 5, but you overused a lot of your steps. You had too many freezes and too many 4ths during your freezes for light. Your jumps freezes didn't seem to fit. The 4ths during the jump freeze were 6 or 7 foot material. Your jumps, that weren't a freeze, weren't that bad. I didn't like how you suddenly used 8ths during the middle and the end. It didn't feel right for DDR.

Standard steps: 1.25/2 Now these steps went over 400 combo... My grading dosen't revolve around how much combo there is, but combo just goes to show how overall difficult a stepchart is. Your 8ths were ok at places where there was a lot of 4ths after, but your others were too hard. I had no idea why you had those 4th jumps and then an 8th double step right after it. This was really too hard for standard. I liked these better than your heavy chart, but it still had a difficulty that should've been lowered for it's foot rating.

Heavy steps: 1.5/3 Woah! 590 combo? Well, these steps got a little carried away, yet AGAIN in this compitition since this is a 9. You had a little too much double stepping in here. The beginning was just not good since it was just double stepping. The freezes weren't put in well either. And why did you have a 4th note, 8th note, then 4th note again in a freeze where the song is 172bpm? This is only for ITG songs. DDR's style dosen't really accept this unless the bpm is slower than this. The jumps got out of hand too. They were alright from the start, but then when you kept using them, it just got annoying and over difficult. I guess some parts of these heavy steps were alright, like the 8th streams without so much of the double stepping. It's just that I don't favor steps that get as hard as this.

Everything else: 2.75/4
-Graphics +1 The banner is fine. The bg kinda' scared me. o.O
-CD-Title +.5 It says DTK. Yep, ya' got gimme points.
-Song choice +.5 It was just ok. The quality wasn't very good. Not too DDR'ish either.
-Beginner +0 215 combo is a little too much for a 2 beginner, don't you think. These were just way too hard. You kept using 3 4ths in a row. This is really a 3. I just didn't like how these got so hard.
-Challenge steps +.5 Again, a bit too hard. I guess it's ok since this is a 10, but you could have organized the jumps, 16ths, and 8ths to flow more. This was just alright for me.
-Edit +.25 Geese, 700 combo? Ok, these were just waaayyy too hard. They seemed like you just cut and pasted your challenge steps and added more jumps and 16ths. I didn't like these very much. They weren't DDR style steps at all.

Total: 5.75/10 Not one of my favorite files. You could've improved a lot in your steps.

Golddiggers

Steps: 4.75/6

Light steps: .75/1 Pretty nice steps. You had a good use of 4ths for a 2 footer. Your 1 freeze was alright. I really liked your beginning, but in the chorus, your steps didn't seem that great anymore. They were good, but not terriffic. When "Na, na na na na na" was sung, the beginning steps in this were repetitive. It was only right, left, down and right, left, down and right, left, down. You had a good ending. It made the overall file a solid 2.

Standard steps: 1.75/2 This chart was very interesting. I really liked your 8ths that your put in this. This was a very good 5 foot chart for standard. It was simplistic, but still hard enough for a standard player. The only part that I really didn't like was the beginning. The freezes seemed awkward for standard. Your off 8ths during the chorus when "We are the Golddiggers," was sung was executed well. The little 8th jumps during this kind of felt a tad bit out of place. However, the end was marvelous! I really liked your step placement a lot here. There were a good number of breaks since the song started to get quieter, and there were some very nicely put in 8ths. This beats Emoticons for the best standard chart so far!

Heavy steps: 2.25/3 These were pretty good. The steps flowed well with those 16ths, and it was a nicely done 7. I really liked your use of 16th notes. Your freezes were nicely put in too. The few jumps were put in at the right times. Some of the double steps seemed a little weird, but nothing too serious. You followed up well with your 8th short streams in the sim. I just don't like how you kept using 16th gallops near the end corus and the very end. It got a little overused and started to get just a tad boring. But other than these faults, I seemed to like this stepchart.

Everything else: 2.25/4
-Graphics +1.5 These were good and all, it was just too shiny. 8) The text looked only a little weird.
-CD-Tilte +0 Nope, sorry.
-Song choice +1 Yah, perfect for DDR! Sounds like it could be an E-ROTIC song.
-Synching -.25 It was just a little ahead of the beat.

Total: 7/10 A good file. You had very nice overall steps. If you did better in your "Everything else", you would've scored higher points for your total.

Hikari
Inukami

Steps: 2.75/6

Light steps: .25/1 Not that great. You had an ok use of 4th notes. There was a lot of double stepping. Not the double stepping where you use one foot to hit down, down, down, and down, although you did use this, but the double stepping where you use one foot to hid down, and right or up, and left. Your freezes were weird like standard, and those 8ths that you used didn't fit at all. It is a 4, which in DDR is normally alright to use an 8th or two, but they still didn't fit in with the other steps.

Standard steps: 1/3 Deffinately one of the easier standard 7's in the compitition. Your 16ths in the beginning were very bad. It was so boring just pressing up and down, up and down, up and down, for such a long time with some 7 foot 16ths. Your freezes were strange during the chorus. They appeared in off places for me. Your freezes here made the player have to cross a bit. Your other 16ths didn't feel right either. These steps didn't feel that great for me.

Heavy steps: 1.5/3 I didn't really like these. The 8th streams and then jump that you used during the chorus got so boring. You kept using them over and over. The 16ths were too hard. You could've shortened them to 4th note, 16th, then 8th, not 4th,16th,8th,16th, then 4th. The song didn't diserve to be a 9. It should be more like a high 7 or 8. The only reason why this is a 9 is probably because of those 16ths and jumps. You used way too many off turnovers where the dancer would have to make awkward movements to prevent from double stepping. The jumps near the end look like they were just thrown in. These steps should have been toned down a bit.

Everything else: 3.75/4
-Graphics +.75 Meh... not that great. And anime graphics are out, unless if they look very good. In this case, they didn't.
-CD-Title +.5 And you get a freebie half point.
-Song choice +.25 Sooo weird... well, I guess Japanese is fine since DDR uses it a bit. I'll give you credit for this, but I still didn't like the quality and sound of the music.
-Beginner steps +.25 I can't believe I'm saying this, but these steps were a little bit too easy. This would even be boring for a beginner. You also used a left, down, up, right and right, down, up, left 4th note sort of pattern quite a bit.
-Video +2 I really liked this! I wasn't expecting a video in here.

Total: 6.5/10 Your steps could've been improved for a better overall score.

Kagekiha

Steps: 3.5/6

Light steps: .5/1 Nothing that stands out in this chart, but still good. Your 4ths were consistent throughout the song. I think this should be a 4 IMO because of the 4ths you used. Overall, the jumps were not too bad. I didn't like the side-jumps though. The few that you used didn't really flow well. You needed more breaks in the 4ths. It got too hard for a 3.

Standard steps: 1.5/2 Overall, these were pretty good. The combo got a little high for a 6, but the song was pretty long anyways so this was alright. Again, I really disliked your stop in the beginning. You had some repetitive steps at some places, but not in most of the song. These steps were fun. I liked your 8ths overall because it made the stepfile a solid 6. Some of your jumps were out of place. Your couple of freezes were put in pretty nicely. These steps were an improvement from your heavy ones.

Heavy steps: 1.5/3 I'm mainly docking points because of that one terrible stop near the beginning, your step placement, and your offset (4th notes became 8th notes... huh?). Oh yah, and those 32nd notes you put in. Why did you use 32nd notes? I guess you were aiming for the Tsugaru types of 32nd, but for me they didn't work. Yah, they might go anlong with the beat of the music, but things like this are extreamly rare in DDR. How many songs, at 180bpm, have the use of 32nd notes? I don't know of any. Well, anyways, the 8ths turned into confusing turns near the end. The freezes in the beginning seemed like those used in Max 300 (Super-Max-Me-Mix), but it didn't work in this sim. I just didn't feel the vibe this should've had in your steps.

Everything else: 4/4
-Graphics +1.75 Very nice, it's just that the text was a little difficult to read.
-CD-Title +0 Woops, no gimme point here.
-Song choice +1 Seemed like a Tsugaru remix... Cool!
-Video +1.75 Yah, a vid! These worked out really nicely with the music.

Total: 7.5/10 Pretty good overall. The steps just needed to be tweaked for a better score.

Last Regrets
(Xmas Dance Mix)

Steps: 3.75/6

Light steps: .5/1 Ok steps. Your overall freezes were pretty average. In the beginning, where you added jumps, I liked it. You steps were good from the start. The end was alright too. I just didn't like how you chose to use your freezes. You had a lot of long freezes, perhaps too long for light DDR. You should've shortened the freezes and not have added so many 4ths during the freezes for a better grade. Other than your freezes, this was an ok light.

Standard steps: 1.25/2 I liked your beginning 8ths. I really brings out that this is a 5 standard chart. Your weakest part in the chart were your freezes. Some were too long. You should've shortened the length of the freezes. Since this is a standard chart, most of the freezes should not go on for more than 1 measure. I really liked your steps when they didn't interfere with your freezes, or when they didn't have weird beats during the freezes. Your steps for this chart were good, it's just that the freezes you put in didn't fit very well.

Heavy steps: 2/3 These were ok. I liked your use of 16ths, but you kind of used them a lot overall. Not excessive, it was just pushing the limit. The freezes were ok, but you seemed to use a little too much of them. The jumps were well put in, and your 8ths were alright. I liked these a bit, but they just seemed a little unexperienced. What I mean by this is that the freezes had odd lengths and they didn't fit in from time to time. This was alright though because somehow the freezes worked.

Everything else: 2.5/4
-Graphics +1 Average anime graphics. I don't like anime a lot, but they were ok with me. And, how come you don't have "(Xmas Dance Mix)" as a sub-title in your bg?
-CD-Title +.5 Here you go.
-Song choice +1 Sounds like White Lovers from DDR EXTREME... so yah, it's a DDR'ish song.

Total: 6.25/10 Ok compared to the majority of the files. Your steps were alright.

Let Me Stay

Steps: 3.75/6

Light steps: .25/1 These seriously weren't a 3. They were a 4 or an easy 5. Why did you put in 8ths in the first place? I didn't like them. They didn't fit in well with the song. You should've stayed away from the 8ths and just used 4ths since this is a 3. Your freezes weren't bad. The jumps you used were too hard for a 3. I liked how you used a bit of breaks, but it still didn't clear up the fact that you used weird 8ths in a light chart. Your other 4ths that didn't involve 8ths were ok. Not a very great chart here.

Standard steps: 1.5/2 Pretty good. I liked your beginning and end steps. The end jumps felt weird since there was an 8th note right before the first jump. This was just a little too hard for a 5. In the chorus, you followed the lyrics with your steps. This was interesting at first, but then it got a little repetitive. You should've followed the beat of the song more during the chorus instead of just having a freeze and then a very short 8th stream after. I still liked your steps to this because it was pretty fun to play.

Heavy steps: 2/3 Just an average 7 heavy chart. The 8th runs were nicely done. The freezes were ok too. That one little spin in the beginning was kind of weird, but that didn't dock points. I didn't like how the lack of orriginality was in here. You kept using 8th short and longer streams and nothing else in the chorus. You could have followed the lyrics for 1 or 2 measures during the chorus and put a 4th note, then 8th when they say "Day ei ai, ei ai, ei ai"... if you know what I mean. Nice steps by you PkerUNO, but they could have been just a bit different for better points.

Everything else: 3.25/4
-Graphics +1.5 They were alright. Nice, but not that great. It was just kind of weird seeing the artist in there...
-CD-Title +.5 mmhmm... here you go.
-Song choice +1 I really liked it. Good song.
Bonus Graphics and Extras +.25 One measly extra... lol

Total: 7/10 You did pretty well in your "Everything else". You would've done better if you improved your light steps.

Uh... I guess I have to make another post...

My 3rd post in a row? Sorry about that. Well, here it is.

One Heart

Steps: 3.75/6

Light steps: .25/1 The 8ths you put in here would feel very off for a light player. Especially since this is only a 3. You just have to remember that 8ths are almost always only in 4+ foot charts in DDR. You used the same outline for the freezes like you did in standard and heavy, which showed not much orriginality. I only liked your beginning and end that didn't involve the chorus. Your strange 8ths really brought your score down. The jumps were ok, but some got too hard for a 3 light. If you kept everything else like the few beginning measures, and if you didn't add any 8ths, I probably would've given this a .75 or even a 1.

Standard steps: 1.5/2 I liked these. It was a fun chart overall. Your 8ths were good for a standard and so were your jumps, it's just that this is supposed to be a 4. 4 feet standards aren't supposed to have these many 8th notes in a song. It's not supposed to have that many freezes in a row either. The freezes were very nice at places, but when Celine sings the chorus, your freezes are too much like the heavy ones. You followed the lyrics a lot. I guess it worked for this because you didn't follow anything other than the chorus. Your points are deducted because this is too hard for a 4, and some of your freezes during the chorus were weird. Other than this, I really liked this chart.

Heavy steps: 2/3 Yay, an orriginal 6 footer! Well, 6's don't normally have 262 combo... Aw well, it was still pretty simplistic. I seemed to like this overall. The freezes were cool. Especially when you had them turn during the chorus. This seemed a little hard for me since this is only a 6, but they were fun either way. Your 8th runs got a little out of reach for such an easy level near the middle. The beginning was good for its difficulty, but as the song went on, the steps increased in difficulty. These were almost 7 feet material becuase of the 8th runs. I liked your jumps during the biginning. They followed the beat nicely. I'll give this a 2.

Everything else: 4/4
-Graphics +1.5 Lol, the bg and banner are funny. Sweethearts candy? Orriginal alright. There could've been just a little more something to add on to these. For some reason, I liked these.
-CD-Title +.5 Yah, a gimme point for you.
-Song choice +1 Seems like a DDR song. I liked this. Hooray for Celine Dion!
-Beginner steps +.5 I didn't like how you had no steps after the 3 4th notes you had in a row when Celine sung "One heart," "One wish," etc. Otherwise, these would be really fun for beginners, so I'll still give you full credit for the fun factor.
-Lyrics +.5 Anyone up for karaoke?

Total: 7.75/10 You really excelled in your "Everything else" evaluation. However, you could've improved on some of your steps.

Parasite World

Steps: 1.5/6

Light steps: .5/1 These weren't entirely bad. Your use of 8ths were ok since this was graded a 4 foot. Some 8ths didn't work (like those weird 8th freeze jumps...), but the other double steps were ok. Your 4ths were good. I just didn't like some of your side-jumps. They flowed alright, but it just felt weird for me. The freezes felt ok. The jumps were fine too. These were pretty good, but some of the 8ths made your overall chart seem awkward.

Standard steps: 1/2 Well, at least these were done... Your steps didn't really fit with the song. The few 16ths were ok though. I didn't like how you had jumps and then 8ths right after them. Standard does this, but it dosen't happen very often. Your 8ths in the middle didn't seem right. I couldn't really hear the song since the quality was so low, so I didn't really know how the steps were supposed to be placed. Where they were placed, however, didn't seem to be right. I just didn't feel for the steps that were in here.

Heavy steps: 0/3 Uhh... you didn't even finish these. I can't really give you points for this. Sorry.

Everything else: .75/4
-Graphics +.75 Well, not that good.
-CD-Title +0 Not here.
-Song choice +.25 The quality wasn't very good. I could barely here it. It sort of sounded like a DDR song.
-Synching -.25 A bit ahead of the music. Not too much of a big deal.

Total: 2.25/10 Your lack of completing the heavy steps really hurt your score. You didn't do that well in your "Everything else" part either.

Radio Star

Steps: 5.5/6

Light steps: .75/1 Pretty good steps here. Your overall 4ths were nicely placed throughout the song, and your jumps had very nice rythm. The only thing that felt strange to me were the 8ths. In the beginning, the 8th triplets felt just a little strange. I don't know, it just always feels weird for me when there are 8ths in a light chart. When the chorus was sung, you had an 8th quart which is mainly why I deducted points. These were alright since your light was rated a 4. Great chart here, but the 8ths just didn't really work for me.

Standard steps: 2/2 These were awsome! Nothing to really complain about in here. You had a little too many jumps at places, but it still seemed to fit overall. Your 8ths made the song feel a lot like a standard 5. You had enough breaks in the song to give the player a breath before continuing the steps. These were just magnificent! If no other song ties this score, than this has got to be the best standard chart in the compitition!

Heavy steps: 2.75/3 Wow! Nearly flawless stepchart! Awsome job on this one. Best heavy stepchart by far man. The 16ths were on beat and the jumps were great. The 8ths were good too. I loved how it had short 8ths and mainly 16ths synched with the music. The one freeze at the end fit perfectly too. The only problem was that the 16ths got just a little repetitive. But I only took off .25 points because of this. Other than that, this is probably one of the best stepcharts in OSC5 DDR B1!

Everything else: 4/4
-Graphics +2 Awsome! So pretty. I really like how you have the official DJ MIKO artist text. The bg is very good too.
-CD-Title +.5 Ok, you get the gimme point.
-Song choice +1 Perfect for DDR. This is a DJ MIKO song after all, right?
-Beginner steps +.5 The end jump freeze was unexpected for me. However, the overall chart was fun.
-Lyrics +.25 "You've to play my song with love!" Yay! Oh yah, it's wrong in your lyrics. Your also missing a line or two during the end chorus. Can't give full credit.

Total: 9.5/10 WOW! I really liked this sim! Great steps, great song, great graphics, great add-ons, what more could you ask for?

Ragnarok Online TeMP it UP

Steps: 2.75/6

Light steps: .25/1 The only thing I really didn't like were the freezes. They were very weird for a light. Some were too long and most didn't really fit in. I didn't like most of your jump freezes, especially since a bit of them were side-jump freezes. The side-jump freezes didn't work for me. You should've toned down the use of freezes in here for a better score. Your 4ths were average. They deffinately needed more breaks. For me, this was just a slightly below averaged 4 light chart.

Standard steps: 1/2 This probably should have been a 7 because of it's high combo. It feels like a 6 at some places though. I really didn't like your freezes. There was sooo many of them. Also, I didn't like how you had 16ths in your freezes. DDR doesn't do this very much in standard. It hardly does it at all! Your 8ths were ok untill the end came. It got too hard for a 6 at that point. Your points went straight down when you used those freezes. I disliked how you had 8ths during your freezes. It didn't fit standard, especially when you had a freeze jump right after.

Heavy steps: 1.5/3 I had no clue why you did some of the things in here. You had really weird freezes which didn't go well with the song. Your jumps seemed strange. I think the only reason why this is a 9 is because of the crazy end streams. Well, they are not that crazy, they just get sort of out of hand. You shouldn't have put in those 16ths near the end. It would be better left without. The 8th turns were strange. I didn't really like them. The freezes had 8th double steps which is not needed in faster paced songs. You used too many freezes and too many jumps in this step chart. It just didn't diserve a very good rating.

Everything else: .75/4
-Graphics +.75 The banner was good, but the bg wasn't. And why don't you have "Ragnarok Online" on the banner?
-CD-Title +0 Oops, you are not legible to recieve a gimme point.
-Song choice +0 Really not a DDR song. Way more of an ITG song. It sounded really weird to me.

Total: 3.5/10 Your score in the "Everything else" part and steps showed why your overall total was a 3.5.

Rock Steady

Steps: 4.5/6

Light steps: .75/1 I liked this chart. Very nicely made 240bpm light 4. I really liked basically all of your 4ths. It was cool how some of your 4ths acted like 8ths in a 120bpm somg. The "8ths" were good for a light 4. They didn't get painfully difficult or too easy which was great. I'm really just deducting points because of the freeze. They were good, but the feel was just strange. The side-jumps were somewhat neccessary. A few didn't fit well. Other than these minor mistakes, this is one of the better light charts in B1.

Standard steps: 1.75/2 Oooh, these are nice! People tend to make standard steps with over 200 bpm a lot harder than this. Instead, you stayed with the simple 4th notes and some 8ths to act as 16ths in a 120 bpm song. These were very nicely done. The only part where I had to deduct points was near the end. You used a little too many of those 8ths. It made the song feel like more of a 7 footer for standard. Your freezes were executed well. Overall, this is also one of my favorite standard charts in here.

Heavy steps: 2/3 These seemed really hard since this song was 240 bpm. With all the 8ths in here, it could've been a 10 with a bit more revising. It's still pretty much a solid 9. Perhaps one of the harder ones that would be in DDR. The freezes after the longer streams of 8ths were pretty necessary. They kind of felt awkward after a while. The jumps were alright. The parts I really disliked were the bpm changes. The 1st one wasn't that bad, but the 2nd came out of nowhere. It was interesting, but not very needed in the simfile. I liked the overall stepchart, but it seemed a little too hard for me to be a DDR heavy set.

Everything else: 3.5/4
-Graphics +2 Very nice! They looked great with the song.
-CD-Title +.5 It's jammitch!'s cd-title.
-Song choice +.5 Sounds at some parts like 250bpm by Akira Yamoka. It's pretty DDR'ish, but I would say more ITG or keyboard.
-Beginner steps +.5 Usually when people make a 3 beginner, it gets out of hand. Fortunately for this, the steps were ordered and turned out to be a solid 3. I liked this chart. Good job.
-Challenge steps +0 Well, it's an ITG 11 in a DDR compitition. Sorry, can't give points for this.

Total: 8/10 Great light and standard steps. Heavy needed to be revised just a bit for more points. You did well in your "Everything else" section. One of the better simfiles in B1.

Seven
(OSC Step Style)

Steps: 2.25/6

Light steps: .25/1 Well, most of the 8ths really didn't work for a light 4. But I know, I know, what else could you do with the light steps? I just don't think you should have added so many 8ths to the song. The beginning felt weird for me. Especially when you had the few 8th gallops. The middle was very plain and, well, ekk. I know it's hard to make steps for a 7 beat measured song that are supposed to be easy, but you still could've done better with these.

Standard steps: 1/2 These were better than your heavy steps, but I still disliked them. You had a lot of 8ths for a 6 standard. With no doubt in my mind, I would have to say that this is a 7 standard. During the chorus (well, there's no vocals... but the main part) you used 8th, after 8th, after 8th little 3, 2 streams that increased in difficulty. There was even this huge stream of 8ths near the end. What was that for? Your 8th to 4th jumps at the end were way too hard for a standard song.

Heavy steps: 1/3 Woah... what was with those 16ths? The turnovers with the 8ths weren't good. The jumps weren't placed well. These could've used a freeze or two in here. These were just very badly done. The 16ths were the worst part. First thing, don't ever double step a 16th note when the song is 140bpm, and two, don't ever, ever, EVER put kb styled 16th streams in a 140bpm song when this is supposed to be a DDR edit. I was very dissapointed with these because Seven is such a great song. You could have made these sooooo much better.

Everything else: 3/4
-Graphics +1.25 These had a nice appeal, but they didn't look fantastic.
-CD-Title +.5 Key Revolution 1st Mix? Well, here's your gimme point.
-Song choice +1 Very DDR'ish. Sounds like a Vanity Angle type of song. You just messed the song by messing the steps.
-Beginner steps +.25 These steps didn't follow the rules. Even if a song is offbeat, you can't use anything other than a 4th note on a beginner song in DDR. I know, it stinks, but when I did this in a compitition I also got deducted points. I actually got negative points for putting in a chart that wasn't even mandatory! Sorry, but I can't give you the half point.

Total: 5.25/10 Your score lacked because of your heavy steps. Your graphics and other extras helped though.

Shake It Down

Steps: 4.5/6

Light steps: .75/1 There really wasn't anything wrong with these. I really liked these. Your 4ths had good rythm with the song. This was a nicely steped 3 light. They only thing that went wrong were the side-jumps near the end. It didn't really work right. For me it didn't. Your other jumps near the end were kind of strange. I don't know why, but I just didn't really get the feel for them. This was a very nice chart nonetheless.

Standard steps: 1.5/2 These were a little too hard for a standard 5. You used a little too many 16ths for this to be a 5 footer. It might go as a 6, but that's probably just me. The measure right before the chorus, with the 16ths and then the 4th, 8th jump, resembled an easier part of the heavy chart. This was too hard for standard. Your other 8ths in the beginning, middle, and end of the song fit in well. The freezes in here were nice too. The end freezes, however, had 16ths in them which also was too hard for a 5. Even though I keep talking about how "hard" this was for a standard 5, I still liked this anyways.

Heavy steps: 2.25/3 I seemed to like these. They were nicely done. The 16ths were synched well with the music and they fit with your simfile. The freezes were fun. The 8ths had consistency throughout the song and the jumps were meh. They were good at points, but at others when they double jumped (8th left-right jump, 4th left-right jump), it just didn't feel right since the song got a lot easier after this. I liked the overall stepchart for this because it felt like a DDR heavy one at some good points. At the end, you nicely put in the freezes with the 16ths and I liked that.

Everything else: 4/4
-Graphics +1.5 Good, I like your whole tye-dye idea, but you could've made the colors blend and shine more. The text was very nice.
-CD-Title +.5 Do I need to tell you what the half point is for?
-Song choice +1 It's good-cool so it's good-song for DDR.
-Beginner steps +.5 These were nice. Fun steps for a beginner.
-Video +1.5 Very nice, but most were just random videos. Can't give you credit to the fullest.
-Lyrics +.5 Yay! Disco Karaoke!
-Bonus Graphics and Extras +.5 Well, I guess it dosen't really matter any more since you already have 4 points.

Total: 8.5/10 Very nice steps, cool graphics, and well added vid. and lyrics!

The Great Blue Sky
(and the Stars Above)

Steps: 2.75/6

Light steps: 0/1 Woah... even for a 5, you should NEVER put 16th gallops in a light 160bpm chart... These were not good dude. I hated how you used 16th gallops in the beginning and that one 16th at the end. The side-jumps were ok at points, but then you overused them. Your freezes weren't very great at all. This chart didn't really go for my taste.

Standard steps: 1/2 The steps for this got kind of boring at points. It was interesting how you had 16th gallops in the beginning, but then it got a little too difficult. I guess this was the reason why it's a 6. After the gallops, the song just kept using 4th notes. It got annoying just doing 4th notes on a standard 6. 4ths that last this long are usually 4 foot material. Your 8ths... wait, there were no 8ths were there? The jumps near the end were out of nowhere really and didn't feel right. You really should have thought about adding 8ths to this since this is a 6. It would've made the file more interesting and less dull.

Heavy steps: 1.75/3 These were really interesting. The steps followed the music the whole entire song! It was a bit fun at the start to follow the beat of the song, but then it got a little dull for DDR song. If you didn't dedicate the whole song to the beat of the music, you would've scored more points. I liked how you used your freezes though. It made your overall file have more variety. You kept the song really basic since there was mostly 4th notes with some 16ths in. But near the end, it increased in difficulty with that 8th stream including 12th notes. This seemed to get a little too hard. This stepchart was ok, it's just that it showed beginner mistakes.

Everything else: 1/4
-Graphics +.5 The banner was hideous (no offense). It looks like it was made in Microsoft paint. The bg was just a cut and paste of Kirby, probably from the web. Sorry, but these don't earn you much points.
-CD-Title +.5 A rainbow cd-title? Well, it's there. Here's your gimme point.
-Song choice +0 I had no idea that this was a Kirby song untill I saw the bg. Kirby songs don't fit DDR at all, IMO. The quality wasn't very good.
-Beginner steps +0 What was with the freezes? Like I said before in Eggman's entry, you can't put 4th notes during a freeze in beginner. You used this way too much. The jumps at the end weren't nicely put in. I didn't like these.

Total: 3.75/10 This was an interesting file, but your score doesn't show that it was well made.

This is extremely annoying...

Ok, hopefully this'll be my last post.

These Emotions

Steps: 2.5/6

Light steps: .25/1 This really wasn't a light 3. You added way too many freezes and 8ths for this to be a 3. You 8ths started out alright, but then after the slowdown, they got out of hand. Your freezes had a lot of 4ths during them which wasn't very neccessary for a light. They were also really long at points. Your 4ths and jumps were ok when they weren't involved with the freezes. This chart didn't feel very experienced.

Standard steps: 1/2 In the beginning, the steps were very plain and simplistic. It felt as if this was more of a standard 4 than a standard 5. Later on, the steps started to increase in difficulty which didn't make the file seem consistent. When the song slowed down, there were double 16ths! Yes, the song gets slow, but that dosen't mean you should add 16th double stepping into a standard 5. They did act as 8th double steps at 127bpm, but DDR almost never does this. It barely does it in heavy! Your freezes were fine at places, but when you used those short little ones, I lost the feel for your freezes added in this. You should've added more 8ths in the beginning instead of saving them for the end.

Heavy steps: 1.25/3 Sooooo many freezes... I really didn't like these. l almost hated the steps. You used way too many freezes. It started to get out of control at points. When the bpm slowed down, why did you add 16th double steps to the freezes??? This should never be done, even though the bpm goes as low as 64bpm. Besides, when HAS it been done in DDR? Your jumps at the end where the would come every 8th beat didn't fit in well, especially when this is supposed to be a 7. The freezes increased the difficulty of the 7 too. This is such a nice DDR song, I just don't feel the same for your steps.

Everything else: 3.25/4
-Graphics +1.25 The graphics look somewhat like the DS vers. of graphics, don't you think? They were ok, but it just didn't seem like they worked that well.
-CD-Title +.5 Yup, here you go.
-Song choice +1 Very DDR'ish. Good choice!
-Lyrics +.5 Alright, good add-on for any file.

Total: 5.75/10 The "Everything else" helped your score, but your steps lacked in experience.

Tori no Uta

Steps: 4.75/6

Light steps: .75/1 Great chart! There really wasn't anything wrong with these. The 4ths were very nice, and the freezes were good for a light chart. You just used a bit too many jumps in here. It was good how you only used left, right and up, down jumps and stayed away from side-jumps, but there were just too many jumps for my likings. I liked the rythm you set by using your 4ths notes. This was a fun chart to play. Good work.

Standard steps: 1.5/2 These were some pretty good steps! You had a nice usage of 8ths and your freezes were executed pretty nicely too. I didn't like how some of your freezes just popped out in the song to make it seem like they shouldn't really be there. I hope this isn't too confusing. Well, most of your freezes felt right. Some increased in difficulty since there were 4th notes during them, but it wasn't anything too serious. Your overall jumps were good, it was just at some points they got a little hard. It wasn't too hard since the song is only 122bpm. Your jumps freezes were alright. I seemed to like these steps that you made. Good work. You just slipped in some minor areas.

Heavy steps: 2.5/3 I really liked these. It was a pretty easy 8. Might even be considered a 7. They followed the beat very nicely. I liked how you added those 16ths. They all fit in pretty well. The freezes were good too. I like the beginning freezes that you used. The 8th stream near the end where you added a 2 16ths (it was like 8th note, 16th, then 4th and repeated) was kind of strange, but I see where you got it from since the beat matches this. These seemed like DDR steps a lot. This is probably one of my favorite charts. Good job.

Everything else: 4/4
-Graphics +1.5 The anime character worked since the video had anime in it, and the bg was good since it followed the video too. I just didn't think these looked too much like DDR graphics.
-CD-Title +.5 Yup, here ya' go!
Song choice +1 Yay, another Tori no Uta song! I really liked the song. More of a slower type of DDR song.
-Video +2 Awsome! I loved this!
-Bonus Graphics and Extras +.25 Sooo many jpg's, but they're only from the video. I'll still give you points, even though this really isn't an extra...

Total: 8.75/10 I really liked this sim. It had very good steps and awsome add-ons. One of the better files in B1!

Under The Sea

Steps: 3.5/6

Light steps: .5/1 These didn't feel very good. In the beginning this really could of been a beginner 1. All it was really doing was left 4th note, wait a measure, right 4th note, wait a measure, left 4th note, etc. It was very boring for a 2. But then when Sabastian (I think...) started to sing, you did a 4th note, wait a beat, 4th note, etc. And then later, you increased the difficulty even futher by putting in side-jumps and freezes. I really didn't like that one 8th freeze. 8ths are never in a light 2. Some of your side-jumps worked, but most didn't. At the end you finally kicked in with 4ths runs. I didn't like the way you set this up because the song wasn't very consistent. This was a pretty average chart.

Standard steps: 1.25/2 This had lots of 16ths in it. You had a bunch near the end. No other song in DDR has this many 16ths, even at 98bpm, for a standard. Your file started nicely, but those 8th triplets weren't very standard'ish. This wouldn't have worked if the song wasn't this slow. They were ok but felt strange. You were alright from then until you entered 16th territory. Some were not that bad, but most got too hard. It felt like I was playing a heavy chart when those 16ths came. Your freezes that you put in here were pretty good. They worked pretty nicely for a standard. I didn't like those 8th streams that you had on later. They exceeded in difficulty that would probably seem uncomfortable for a standard player, even at 98bpm. These were alright otherwise.

Heavy steps: 1.75/3 Well, all you really did was follow the lyrics of the music. Near the end you finally started to follow the beat instead. These were interesting, like The Great Blue Sky heavy steps, but DDR dosen't follow the lyrics of the music for more than half of a song. There was a lot of 16ths in here, but it was ok since this was only 98bpm. The double steps when they turned felt a little weird. You could've followed the lyrics for a little, and then follow the beat after. You shouldn't ever dedicate DDR steps to the lyrics of the music for this long of a time period. These would've been really good if you didn't have a bad start.

Everything else: 2.5/4
-Graphics +1.5 The banner was alright, but the bg was better. How come it's a teens in the banner, but A Teens in the songwheel?
-CD-Title +.5 Alright, you get a gimme point too.
-Song choice +.5 An ok song for DDR. This was a different song then what I would expect from A Teens. But they do make a bit of remixes for Disney songs, right?

Total: 6/10 Another interesting file. Just not one of the better interesting files.

And finally:

YOU RAISE ME UP
(7" Anthem Mix)

Steps: 4.75/6

Light steps: .5/1 38 freezes is quite a bit for light, don't you think? Well, the pattern of the steps was pretty good. I just didn't like how you had freeze, after freeze, after freeze, the whole entire song. A majority of the freezes worked, but others were too long or came out of weird places. I didn't like your two side-jumps freezes that you used in both the other charts. It was a little difficult for a light 3 footer. The beginning jumps made the file interesting. An average super-freeze chart.

Standard steps: 1.75/2 Ooh, I liked these! Seemed a lot like a DDR standard. Your 8ths were very good and followed the beat. You didn't have too much of these, which made the song pretty easy, but you increased the difficulty with your freezes. Your freezes worked very well and didn't get too hard. It's just that once agian, it felt like you were pushing the limit on how many freezes you had in this chart. Your jumps were good and flowed great. I didn't like your ending though. When the song got quieter and the bass lowered, you used 8ths instead of freezes. Freezes would have worked better for me. Anyways, awsome job at making this. This is also one of the better standard files.

Heavy steps: 2.5/3 Very nice! You used a bit too much jumps and freezes, but it wasn't too big of a deal. You kept doing left-up and down-right freezes jumps in the beginning and end. This kind of felt weird. Anyways, your overall file was very fun. I liked your 8ths that were put in and your freezes. The freezes really worked for a song like this. Since this was a 7 dance song, freezes work nicely. You used a bit too many jump freezes though. If you kept them to a minimum where the beats were stronger, you would have racked a 1/4 point or even more. This is also one of my more favorable files!

Everything else: 3.5/4
-Graphics +2 Amazing! o.O Very, very DDR'ish. Deffinately one of the best graphics in the pack!
-CD-Title +.5 And the last gimme point goes to you.
-Song choice +1 Not only are your graphics very, very DDR'ish, but your song is too!

Total: 8.25/10 I really liked this file. Good work on stepping a dance classic remix!

Here's the top 3 graded files!:

3. Shake It Down (8.5/10)
2. Tori no Uta (8.75/10)
1. Radio Star (9.5/10)

And here's my top 3 favorite files!:

3. YOU RAISE ME UP (7" Anthem Mix)
2. Radio Star
1. Emoticons

Yay, I think I made it! Well, that's what you get for making terribly long reviews... Hope these work out!
