So far, I think Bracket 2 is overall better in quality, but Bracket 1 had more stand-out files. I think Bracket 2 has one file that really stands out a lot, but you'll have to wait for my reviews!

I disagree here; I think that B1 had more stand-out files, but it was because B1 was worse overall and the few great files in it really stood out in comparison.
There are numerous files in Bracket 2 that are as good as if not better than the "stand-out" files in Bracket 1, though Radio Star is still the best IMO.
My file is pretty synced. Only reason it's a nice is because of the streams and the speed up at the end. No, I'm not disputing my review that I recieved, I am just com'menting.
I did my Sphere simfile waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back when 11th Style was released, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay before Xepher evvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvver came out.
(Oh, and I've had friends of mine, not from SMMIX, tell me they love my simfile, which is why I submitted it in the first place )
Edit: I miss BlueSS...

Sorry, it was just the first good-quality music video I found. Where would you suggest I get videos from in the future?
I'd say get them from Limewire. If you have the program already, great, if not, get on it. I'm certain you could find a direct rip of the music video without all that MTV mumbo-jumbo.

I agree here that this bracket has a better songs in overall...
How did the brackets have been splitted up ? By submission date ? Randomly ? Specific criterias ?
If it's by submission date, I think that it would be logical since all the smfile people spended lots of time doing are more likely to be here than the previous bracket...
As stated before, as the files were uploaded, they were alternately placed in each bracket. The first file submitted went in 1, the second in 2, the third in 1, etc.

I'll put something neat here eventually.
Like almost everyone else, I agree that B2 is better than B1. The first bracket had a few off files. I didn't like a number of them. In B2, however, every simfile on heavy I've played so far has some or more potential in the compitition (except for Sphere... I just don't like this sorry).
So yeah - let's start some real discussion going here...
Who is Doctor_Mango? My spidey senses tell me that it is definitely another well-know step author masquerading under a new alias, but who...?
The graphics remind me of some of the Rage* files I've played... It doesn't seem like his kind of song to step though. I think it's possible that it's just his first released file. Radio Star was my first and it's doing quite well.
