To everyone who has/will review my simfile (Seasons of Love), thanks! For the record I also made some Edit steps for Solo if you want to try them out. I know they won't count towards my score, but they're my first real attempt at Solo steps, and I would really like to know how I did for my first try.

Sure, I'll try it.

*plays*

Yeah, this was definitely your first attempt at solo. There was doublestepping everywhere. You'd have to start the beginning off crossed over in order to hit the majority of the arrows w/o doublestepping, and even then at the end of the run you'd have to doublestep anyway. Very awkward. Also it's like an 8 and you rated it a 6. Keep trying!

edit: I liked what you did with the jumps though.

I am very new to Stepmania and contests and such, but I have an ear for music, having worked in the music business for the past 11 years.

I just want to thank all the stepmakers for their hard work. I also want to list the songs I've added to my song list and will try out over the weekend. To me, these had the best melodies, catchiest choruses, etc. That's my first criteria for adding a song and trying out the steps.

Dragostea Din Tei
Emoticons
Golddiggers
Kagekiha
Let Me Stay
RADIO STAR
These Emotions
Under The Sea
You Raise Me Up (7'' Anthem Mix)
All In The Way
Bouncin!
Fuku Wa Uchi
nagai yume
Pump Up the Jam
Sakura Kaduki
Samba Brazil
Seasons Of Love (Gomi's Lair Club Mix)
Sphere
This Is Love
Tunak Tunak Tun

I'll pop back in and talk about the ones I decided to keep.

Sorry I didn't split up my downloads into bracket 1 & 2. Hard to tell now that they're moved to my directory.

Shareaza, same difference.

I will say that I was more concerned with A) finding a video that didn't look like crap and B) learning how to insert videos into SM and learn how to use my brand-spanking-new video editing program in the alotted time. I personally wouldn't have problems with the MTV tags, or any tags, in a background video, but you're right to complain. They certainly wouldn't be there in actual DDR files!

You're telling me that you aren't going to try out the other songs in the tournament because you don't like the songs?

Oh well, at least you're not doing public review.

@_@

For the second time in this thread, please read the readme! =P

Yogi Berra once said, "You can observe a lot by watching." We can apply this to reading readmes.

I was trying to go for a computerized effect with the background, The banner is puple because the main character in the video is wearing purple. That may be lame, and I know the graphics are nothing special but I just wanted to point that out so there's no more "The graphics have nothing to do with the video." kay?

Anyway, glad to see more reviews, and glad to see my file getting decent feedback.

Nearly finished my scores for B2, only a few more to go...

I was referring to the fact that he said that it was following the music too closely... which is already a kind of ridiculous complaint, but then you add the fact that there's 24th runs all throughout the music in Way of Life. It's kind of a bullshit reason to give something a 2/6.

Um, sorry? The steps during the rap could have been simplified a lot more, it was kind of ridiculously hard.

Why is everybody forgetting what opinions are anymore?

Sorry, but it's an opinion to disagree as well.

I'm just saying this could've been an easy 12 and I'm kind of mystified as to how you think it's too hard.

Way of Life does follow the vocals quite often. That's probably what he meant. Most of the 16ths go directly with vocals, especially the ones where the Panda is in that hallway place talking about taking a doo doo. (I love how I keep making references to steps by using points in the video, I did it in my comments too)

Looks like it would make a good ITG chart.

It could be an easy 12... okay. I'm not meaning this in a flaming manner, but this is DDR dude, not ITG. 12s aren't supposed to exist here.
