I judged based on my opinion of the chart. Am I supposed to judge it based on what other people think? I don't get this at all. Somebody explain what I'm doing wrong, because I really don't think I'm doing anything wrong. | Read what Eggman said again. Where did he say that you aren't supposed to judge on opinion?
Anytime anyone say something that isn't a fact, it's an opinon. So of course everyone judges on opinion... why does that even come into question?

I didn't judge on how fun I found on every file or how I would make the song... I didn't find Paranoia Sky at all but I thought it was pretty good for a Paranoia file.
God, I feel like everybody is totally all over me when I didn't do anything wrong.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | Eggman: I'm sorry, but I'm not going to buy rating a file good simply because it's accurate and "technically" good. This wouldn't be a competition otherwise. How much you enjoy something should basically be the end-all determining factor in how well you rate it.
That said, I do agree with the idea that you shouldn't rate something low because it's not how you would do it. If that were the case I would've given everything in every bracket less than a 5.

WHERE ARE THOSE LYRICS I WORKED OUT | I'm sorry about that. I felt kinda bad about not using those lyrics you sent me.
Anyway, I'm glad those who have done public reviews (so far) seem to have enjoyed the steps. My main objective was to make good steps. Sorry for those ugly graphics :p

Marketplace Rating: 0 | Aw man, Jesterline gave me only 5.5. That's worse than most of the reviews given for my ITG entry. Messy steps? I can see why he'd say that about the Challenge stepchart, but as for Heavy, light 16th triplets and some jumps =/= messy. And come on, was that percussion part really that bad? I had to keep it in there, as it builds up to the first chorus, sounds catchy, and gives me room for some fun steps, not to mention it's my favorite part of the whole Challenge stepchart. The demand for colors of the Brazil flag seemed pretty out there (although the Captain Jack logo is blue), but I guess it sort of makes sense, but I personally love the way the orange ambiance looks with the backdrop.
Again, I'm not disrespecting anyone's opinion, it's just that I found the review to be interesting.

If a simfile is accurate and technically sound, it will get a decent score. The enjoyment of the file does sway us a bit (hence the tilt section) but you'll find that many times a simfile will recieve a high score from a judge even if the judge didn't paticularly enjoy it. In TM6, I recieved a perfect 100 from bg_Hojo (pretty sure it was him) but he openly said he didn't really enjoy it, but he still knew it was a very solid simfile.

And you know, I can always appreciate a well-made simfile, but if it's not fun, I'd probably only grade it "above average" (6-7) instead of "excellent" (8-10).

It takes a legendary chart (they do exist) to score full points on Heavy or Challenge, and it takes a very strong all-around presentation to avoid losing 2 points in each of the little categories, which adds up to 10 off real quick. It has to blow me away in the fun department to even begin to approach perfect, and I doubt I'll ever give one out.

i think you will find that the english lyrics give the player a different experience because they now know what is being said
