Look, I totally put a capital L in my AIM screen name to make the post as intuitive as possible and people still miss it. What am I doing wrong?

Sorry if I seem hostile, but I've been hanging around annoying people about this long enough that people who are as intelligent and involved in the community as you are should know that it's an L, and at the very difference know the difference between the way the letters look. The default font on this forum isn't even arial. They look different.

Spelling and capitalization are two very different things.

With that said, I believe jammitch is being somewhat semantic with his wish to have j in lowercase all the time. You could type my name lRxEVaN and I wouldn't care as long as you use "l," not "I."

Really, I don't see what's so complicated about it.

ranatalus almost always becomes rantalus, ranatas, ranatulus, or some other INCORRECT SPELLING

I'm kind of weird about the capitalization too. I just don't like the way Ranatalus looks.

The capital J just looks so... UGLY there.

It's not really that big a deal, I mostly prolong it for humor value.

Note that I don't give a crap about the exclamation point... I think the name sounds exclamatory, so I slapped it on there.

The Xy thing works well in the correct capitalisation! It's also nicely aesthetic.

Just chiming in to add that I'm not a Player Killer, hence why my k isn't capitalised.

EDIT: Since Xythar asked, UNO is capitalised because of a personal whim. It's actually the name of a character in the Pk comic books, and wasn't originally capitalised. In the third series they reset the whole story and turned his name into an anagram. I've always had my nickname written like this though, so I haven't changed it since 1997.

Just ought to let you know that mine has changed and might change again.

So... just to let you know... the song is now Blow Me Away by Breaking Benjamin. To make things easier, I just re-entered. That way, I can edit my song if I have to (Which I doubt I will now. I have the song cut to the right length and it works, so I'll stick with it... unless it has been done before...)

I don't like it when my username is in the default size that it is here (above "Bemanistyle user")... for capitalization I don't really care and for some reason nobody gets my name wrong

In IRC, U's and V's apparently look identical.

I sometimes use "Uira" for reasons I won't get into here, and someone once asked me if Vira was plural for Virus.

Not to mention the ten thousand times I get "Uriu". My own grandmother, God bless her, went to put it on my birthday card, but couldn't remember which way it went... so she asked my mother, who got it wrong. Grandma was gonna do it right, too.

And nobody knows how to say it either. The only guy I know who has four letters who cause more trouble than I do is named Xjph.
