Default Favorite/Least Favorite DDR OSC Songs

I had this idea in mind for a while, but I decided to save it until the end of the competition. Sure, there are public reviews for each simfile, but now the question is, which songs do you enjoy the most out of every OSC song ever created? My choices include...

Favorites:

- B-Dash ~Hangover Version~ - This was the first OSC song I ever played! The song itself is awesome, same with the video.
- Disco Dog - Sure, the steps are flawed, but they're still incredibly fun nontheless. Gotta love that background, too!
- One Fine Day - I love The Offspring, and this simfile perfectly compliments their work.
- TetraQ (Manist Edit) - Nice graphics, nice video, nice steps. A true keeper.
- Wowowee - I don't think it's even possible to get a song choice any more creative than this. The steps are splendid, especially during the "Wowowee!" sections.

Least Favorites:

- BAD BOY BASS!! (dj remo-con mix) - Do I even need to explain how bad this is?
- Bleeding Mascara - What in the world is this? It makes my ears (and eyes) bleed!
- Electric Wheelchair - These steps are completely off-beat throughout, not to mention the song choice is the most obscurely horrible ever.
- Inner Universe - Horrible song choice (practically no beat), with amazingly overdone, repetitive steps.
- Right Thurr (G-Unit Mix) - If the song isn't profane and irritating enough, this simfile is completely overdone and amateurish.
- They Don't Know - This is just plain stupid. Completely random notes over an attrocious rap song.

Um, stuff I especially liked from OSC4...

5 COLORS IN HER HAIR
Everytime We Touch
Look Me
Luv U More
Osaka Koi no Uta
Over Drive
Paradise (I'm going to mention this because I don't think anyone else will)
POP
Satisfaction
True Love Makin'
Uwaki na Honey Pie
YELLOW BUTTERFLY

Those are the ones I remember liking most in the DDR division. I think all the Dancemania type stuff was pretty good too and it also had Metaphors which I still think was Aurae's best file. Ageha, Denpasar and Wish were also pretty decent and if I keep going I'm going to end up listing nearly every song in OSC4 so I'll probably stop here. Hell, I even liked Vanish although apparently the syncing was completely wrong (I didn't notice... >_> Probably due to not playing on note then)

That's just 4 because I wasn't really around for 3 and you can just check the PRs thread if you want to know what I liked in 5, heh.

I love Gasolina. Seriously. I hate the original but the Delaction Remix is effin' tight, nukkas.

It used breaks highly effectively (please take note - not you specifically, discovolante, I mean people reading this in general) and was very fun to play because of its being well crafted though it kind of felt a bit overdone or longwinded or just something at the end.

Edit: oh, by the way, that probably should remain private.

I hoped for more from this thread. It got quite a few posts the day after I posted it, and then all of a sudden, it got abandoned. But since I felt like posting it as well, here are my choices more the most overrated/underrated OSC simfiles as opposed to my favorites:

Overrated:

- Be Princess - This was the first simfile from its bracket that I was not very impressed by. It's not the worst ever, as it does include nice graphics and good syncing, but I feel that it really didn't deserve to be in the finals.
- Cheap Trick Kinda Girl - IMO, either Jump, Emerald Sword, or Breathe should've won OSC 5's ITG division, not this. The background videos are a nice touch, but the artwork could've been better (particularly since it's an nDDRo simfile) and the mines were horribly overdone in places.
- Inspiration - Yes, I gave it a full score, but even then, I just don't believe it should've won the whole competition when it was merely just another generic eurobeat simfile, despite being made very well.

Underrated:

- Asteroid - Quite a fun ITG simfile, really. Too bad it only ranked 16th overall in the ITG bracket.
- Computer Oba-Chan - This is brilliant, and yes, I actually do find it to be quite funny to tell you the truth.
- Sakura Kaduki - It seems that outside of Discovolante, I was the only person who actually enjoyed this simfile. I gave it high grades because of its innovativeness, but many people found it to be extremely flawed.
- Way Of Life - This is pure genius. The cut may be too long, but it still brings in quite a unique style and has very fun steps.

I agree on Way of Life and especially Sakura Kaduki, the latter was an excellent simfile and I'm still surprised by how low it was graded by most. I have no idea what Computer Oba-Chan is. Asteroid was terrible.

And yeah I agree about Cheap Trick as well.

It's a simfile from the OSC Psychopath Edition mini-tournament, filled with songs that were intended to be as funny as possible. The winner of it was Highway 40, a song that features Brak. A link for it is in the Classic DDR Goodness stickied thread.

Some of my favorites: (way too many to list everything here)
-Melfina - despite its BPM being completely wrong and the steps being a whole mess, I liked this song a lot, very emotional
-Crying Mountain - A lovely remix of the SNES song

-Dejiko to Gema - cutie!
-Jamboree - celtic techno!
-Make a difference - underappreciated!
-Saltarello - why? (i made this and i like this...)

-Boundary - only if the 48khz audio doesn't totally rape my laptop's framerate to <10 fps (fixed it easily, but does take time)
-Canon - A fun long version 10 footer
-Dragonita Ten Sei (Haiticii) - much better than the ozone version
-V (Rasen Style) - I like long version songs
-Ukifune - Rai Rai Rai!

-Attitude (both divisions) - great intro songs
-Alfrashear - Terra songs coupled with great videos are cool!
-bad boy bass - crap songs are funny!
-Doll - see above
-Dracula's castle - castlevania!
-Eden - same as above, although have a slightly wrong BPM that can be fixed easily
-Eternal Harvest
-Half Life - empty feeling
-Right ThurrrrrrrrRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrr - because it sucks so much I find this amusing
-Vanish - Mandarin Chinese pop!

-A New Ray of Light
-24
-Bad boy remix - the synth part at the end is gorgeous
-Endless Journey - celtic trance!
-Geno's Woods - great instrument sounds
-Kagekida
-Identity - I like this alot, one of my most played 12 footers on my pad
-Inner Universe
-Hikari - I like anime songs lalala, with a cool video!
-Pump Up The Jam - karaoke steps FTW!
-Sakara Dujuki - win
-Storm
-Tori no Uta - see above, but a bit more mellow than Hikari.
-Over there - I liked this song so much that I actually transcribed this song into a tenor sax part to audition for a band (preserving its key of B minor giving a transposed key signature of 4 sharps, and its insane 250 bpm fast part, and it's pretty hard)

I think he was "honorary" for winning TKOIFT but declining the space. It was something like that, at least.

I don't have recording (or any recording equipment), but here's the sheet music I transcribed:

http://www.scs.ryerson.ca/~c5tam/misc/overthere

(Note that the solo section that where the guitar solos used to be, are made from scratch)
