My two cents.
Agree totally with LRX on the subtitle matter. The only tournament song I've seen that could have deserved a "(for Tournament)" didn't.

(That of course would be "Kick Your A (Apparently Not For TM5)".) Unless you wrote a rearrangement specifically for the contest (or had one written, such as KYA) it's just a cut. And I specifically say "rearrangement." If the new song is a re
mix, bite the bullet and try to come up with a creative mix name.
CDTitles: I used to work with no CDTitles for my files (although the first one - Voulez Vous Danser from TM5 - had the album). Then I went with a collection for a while, then went the nDDRo way and went perfectionist. All that said, both are entirely acceptable. Inc's right. Names do mean something; in a pretentious way sure, but we're a niche community when you come down to it, so we have the right to be pretentious. My suggestion would be to include both a CDTitle and a PackTitle (to coin the term), put one in an \Extras\ directory and let the players choose.
(Also, SM really needs the option for multiple CDtitles. It's got special code in the metrics to handle the change between displaying the front and "the back", right? [famouslastwords] How hard could it be? [\flw])
And foreign titles? Yeah, plaintext unicode in SM #TITLE, .png for DWI #DISPLAYTITLE, and whichever's the standard and more likely to be searched for(transliteration or translation) in the remaining tags. I'd go with translit, just because you'll just get a

if you tell somebody you like Big Opinion more than Blue Impulse.
(edit: woo, first post and it's a pagestarter)
