The votes speak for themselves.

Very, very, very tight voting. Closest voting in OSC history, even with this new, fancy voting scheme.

As a final note: before everyone runs off, I want everyone to know that this was the last OSC competition I will be part of.

THE NEXT OSC IMMEDIATELY GOING TO START, AND FINISHED WHEN WE CAN, is a project to remake a lot of the old OSC entries for one awesome OSC stepfile back, sort of like a vV project of sorts. Neko has a ton of great ideas, and we don't want anyone to leave, simply because this was the "last OSC." If you stick around I'm sure you won't regret it.

I'll make a larger post later about my departure and gratitude to everyone over the years, but I'd rather get these results up to keep my word here!

HOW TO READ THE VOTES!
-Each line under a Song is the entire vote from that person for that file. The order has been mixed up, but the lines, as seen, are the individual votes for each song in their entirety. (Look at it, it shouldn't be THAT confusing)

Before anyone asks - the official plans for the next OSC will be partially announced Friday, after discussing it with several possible co-heads for it.

One thing that IS official: Work on this won't seriously kick into gear until Virtual Visions is reasonably complete, so as to not slow work on that project before this one's going.

... Okay two.

is now the official smiley of DDR OSC. Why? because it's probably the most used by at least a two to one factor here. :P

According to the results. these are the winners for each bracket:

DDR - Inspiration
ITG - Cheap Trick Kinda Girl
Keyboard - fffff

Beyond that, I'm a bit disappointed with my results, tying with Rock Steady and only ahead of Together. It's probably because of the Challenge stepchart that made people not want to vote for me stepwise. I'll do better next OSC, though!

And about the next OSC, featuring old OSC songs, may we enter remakes of OSC 5 songs, or must they all be OSC 4 and lower?

And so it comes to pass that Inspiration has won, and I would like to thank everyone for voting for and enjoying my entry.

As much as I would like to drag it out a bit longer, I'll just say it up-front in case you guys hadn't figured it out: I'm Doctor_Mango! And, before you say anything else about it, the readme, the posts, the IMs, they were designed to be blatantly obvious. Come on guys, Naoki writing the theme to Starsky and Hutch?

To my surprise, though, people took it a lot farther (and believed it far more) than I ever expected and I decided to run with it for a while and have some fun. You guys were all really good sports throughout the competition, and I'm honored (seriously!) to have received so many votes from you guys; the sheer amount of points I received is shocking, and I am honestly humbled by it.

Congratulations to Radio Star and its' author, Jesterline; I was hoping Radio Star would win, really, as I feel it deserved it more than I.

And, to BLueSS, you're a great guy and I'm sorry to see you go, but you know, priorities. Sometimes you've just got to have them.

Soon, Ebisumaru, Juub, Jakazid, beanbag, and I will be starting a new website for simfiles called Digit Dance that we hope BLueSS will participate in, and everyone else, too.

If anyone is interested in the file that I registered under lrxevan (I was never really going to enter it), you can send me an IM at Lrxevan and I'll send it over, if I can find it on my damn CD (my hard drive crashed recently and I lost a lot of information).

I'm so happy you guys enjoyed my file! Second place is awesome. I loved Inspiration and I'm glad it did better than Radio Star, because well, it is better! Congrats to everybody!

I'm assuming you meant "stepfile pack".
Either way, this will make things fun. Does this mean any file from anyone can be done by anyone else or do we only do what files we submitted before?

I'd just like to say, not necessarily on Capn's behalf (although I'd bet he would too) that I'm honored to have come in where I did. Congrats to everybody, and omega maximum props to LRXE and jester.

As for this OSC 5+ - so it's going to be like a better ReTournaMix?

I so called DDR. SO called it! Not, y'know, that it wasn't fairly obvious.

Of course I'm sad to see that some of my favorite files didn't do that well, but I don't think there was an undeserved win in this contest. It's been great fun for a first OSC for me, and I'm really looking forward to the next one. So long as it's not during school.

Also, lrxevan, you are fairly awesome for pulling that off.

Anyone can do any song... and they'll be picked or decided upon here in a bit.

Yes, of sorts... because it'll be open to everyone and may seem more like virtualVisions but with past OSC entries... I still have to talk to Neko a bit on this to see what his ideas contained.
