If we're given a 10/10 rating system for everything instead of this kinda bs system, I'll gladly go back and change my ratings.

I got all the KB sims, so I'll begin my review in the respectful thread. Although it won't be finished now, it'll get done by Wednesday.

Couple points I wanted to make - the 16ths in Vairocana do fit the song at the points where they're used. If you can't make them out at full speed, you might have to slow the song down to hear, but they do match the music.
Also, regarding the 14 rating, I was going by this part of the rules: Quote: |
Mark it as compared to ITG files, or as a 14 to 16 if it goes beyond that game in difficulty; or otherwise have a specified standard.
| Since Vairocana challenge isn't paddable and therefore beyond ITG in difficulty, I rated it a 14. I wasn't aware that there was an established system in place for determining keyboard ratings since I don't play keyboard files myself, sorry. | |

It's exactly the same ratio of points the judges work with, and it's meant to be vague so you can choose how you want to reward those last 4 points.

For heavy I basically just took out the really hard stuff from challenge (12ths, 16ths, jumpstream) and then redid what was left with new streams since just copying directly is kinda cheap. I could have broken up the 8th streams or something but anything I chose to do would be completely arbitrary given that the song just goes and goes for the whole time, so in the end I elected not to. It does leave them quite similar for the most part however.

i think these steps were pretty good until you get near the end and start putting a jump at least every beat, the jump usage was pretty liberal and didn't always go with the song
| The jumps go with the scream/voice parts, that's why I did so.
Btw I'm glad that at least a few people enjoyed the bpm changes. :D

I put this in my review, "It wasn't supposed to be a 14, more like a 13 or 12." But by these means, I think it appears to me that you are correct.

I'm really disappointed in the public reviews for now. Confusing as all hell.

Total Tokens: 7,739.78 Donate Tokens | It's not that hard since it's slow. Believe me, I can't last 15 seconds on most Challenge Keyboard songs due to all the silly jumps thrown in the runs, but I actually made it rather far in your song, Eggman. Really, I had the hardest time with those 24ths. As for the Heavy steps, they're highly reminding to me of my Challenge stepcart for my Jack in da House simfile. The song was meant to be for the keyboard because of all of the runs, but it turned out to be completely passable on the pad because of how slow it was. fffff is harder, but I'm still sure most people could pad it.

It looked good to me, but I haven't reviewed anything because I can't actually play these files. :P It was Danir's second favourite in the bracket (after Video Out C) when he was playing them over here, tho.

and eggman, your song is pretty good. i love keyboard songs and it plays out pretty well. to be a 13 footer.. maybe unless i just got better ^-^ . which is unlikely lol

I'm really disappointed in the public reviews for now. | Well, check out my comment. I didn't bomb your challenge steps. I gave them a 2/3 and your overall total was 7.5/10. That's not bad at all. It's even in my favorite 3 songs list. I liked your song choice too, and I don't think the judges will hurt your score as much as others did.
