Total Tokens: 73,762.12 Donate Tokens | KB "Results" Okay, I'm going to be frank here. I think these results suck. The public reviews shouldn't outnumber the judges six to one by my premature count, unless we're that popular. The results are inevitably going to be skewed, screwed up, etc.
We have exactly two judges for the Keyboard division. Congratulations, EggmaniMN, you win a thousand Internets and your POV is a quarter of the score!
I'm tallying the scores and thinking about what to do - if we get agreement to the winners between the Public and our two judges, we'll just go ahead and go on... Otherwise, I've got a couple ideas to at least try and figure out the best stepcharter in the keyboard arts out of those who entered.
EDIT: As a note, O THNAP!'s scores have been dropped out, and all of Mason's scores will be treated as though extras were 2 as a limited averaging-out and moderating. Mason, next time, you follow the format and do not decide to drop things at your whim. You're not Arch0wl, who didn't get away with that either BTW.
RE-EDIT: http://ddrosc.bemanistyle.com/osc5/j...veResults.html http://ddrosc.bemanistyle.com/osc5/j...Incardine.html http://ddrosc.bemanistyle.com/osc5/j...-%20Eggman.txt http://ddrosc.bemanistyle.com/osc5/j...cKBjudging.xls http://ddrosc.bemanistyle.com/osc5/j...-%20Eggman.xls
(If links besides the collective results don't work... I'll fix them later.)
Due to severe disagreements in scores between the judges and public, and even the public with one judge and the other judge, the scores are... Irreconcilable. Anyone who calls me an idiot because I liked some of these gets banned, by the way.
Due to this, we're giving the top five and the most popular one that didn't make top 5 a pass - Vairocana and video out c both go to the final round, no questions asked. Of the following four files, only one will advance in our Challenge Round, which will be announced at the conclusion of DDR Bracket 2... Two hints, though (and the second goes for everyone!).
1) Think Keyboard, you'll be doing it again next time.
2) Think six-key. To be exact, 789, 456. Or 789, 426. These are not all of the conditions for the Challenge round. You should work on developing a form as best you can, but do not work on your Challenge round entries yet.
The files in question:
3rd place: fffff
4th place: over there
5th place: Tetris-Talespin
Special: Normally, Storm, 6th place, would go on. Instead, because Storm (like over there) only did well in my score, and Z3 was overwhelmingly popular, we're giving Z3 a chance. We're not going to do this for other divisions barring comparable judging debacles.
To be frank, though... The KB round this time was a complete and total debacle like I could never have imagined before now. The judges who flaked out on their duties - completely - will be invited back on the same day Arch0wl is. The public reviews are clearly going to need more scrutiny for the rest of the contest, and I have four days to do 20 judgings for the ITG division. Keep in mind I am missing visiting family in town for this, so please do not contribute to pissing me off.

Also, I really don't think it's a big deal if the ITG results come in a few days late because you are visiting family. Family is more important than ITG! It's nice that you're dedicated though.
Anyway, congrats to the winners! | |

But seriously, what an "honor". I've never placed dead last in a simfile contest before. Now that I have, I hope never to again and now I can laugh at myself for being the worst of the best. XD

And yeah, it seems like good KB judges are hard to come by :/ It's weird, I always thought that considering how popular KB Stepmania is, that this bracket would get more entries and judges than it does. Oh well, it's over now...

Honestly, I don't know a single one of the public reviewers for anything aside from making pad files, if I know them at all.
This turn of events does make me very annoyed. I put off making good amounts of money and seeing my grandparents to get the results done on time and I thought I was being lazy about getting them done.
And Neko, I'd never call you stupid for giving good scores to the songs that you did. I'm just unbelievably harsh on songs I love ^_^
I have to start my job on August 24th and I won't even be around until September 4th so it's a good question as to whether I'll be able to even see how the whole KB thing ends. I'll work hard on what I have to for as long as I can though... and that apparently includes making Solo Challenge steps and then judging them myself again.

X-x;

Whatever I'll stop; I just don't want to see this happening in any other divisions :P
