That's odd, I had it and the ZIP shows it (I just checked it).

Unfortunately, given the e-mail error, Doctor Pressure isn't accepted. However, I'm going to make a separate topic admitting the error so it can receive some promotion.

I've got a 0 bytes temp file in that folder (graphics and charts are all accounted for), so I dunno what could have happened there. There's definitely no music, though.

In my download there is a music fil and a .temp file. The /temp appears everytime you edit a song using StepMania 4.0 (to my knowledge) but I seriously dn't know what's wrong with it. It's shame because now my entry probably won't count since people can't actually seem to play it.

Is anyone ever going to give any actual feedback on the entries in this contest? Like, ever??

It seems issues like DQ'd/not DQ'd files and an entry that plays for some and not for others have kinda sidetracked people from actually playing and reviewing the others...correct me if I'm wrong on that by the way

EDIT: special shout out to Juub005 for giving some feedback on some files on DDRExtreme.co.uk! Seems like Paranoia survivor MIN is a big hit all-round, email or no email...

I'm not worrying about DQ-ness of files. If they're DQ'd, the management can just ignore my scores. :P Also, HBFS played just fine for me last time, so something is apparently wrong with my system. At least compared to the rest of you.

It's not just you, TakeWalker. HBFS works fine for me too.

Props to you for taking time to make a public review. I don't know if I'll make one or not since this is an "open pad" contest and not just DDR. ITG isn't my area of expertice (I'm not saying I'm an expert at DDR

).

Let us establish what we know about HBFS

1. There is a problem
2. On some peopl's computers there is no music file
3. On other people's computers it works fie
4. it was created using SM 4.0
5. The author syas it's in the zip file

Now what could be causing this?

About HBFS:

6. There is no contact information in the readme.

Another note, Blow me Away's pretty good, after playing it. It has really strong extras, and for me-- it almost rivals Know your Xenemy for the overall package.

Check the #FILE tag of the SM file

does it direct to the EXACT name of the sound file?

This is a problem I encountered when the file pointed out was an OGG file when the file in the folder is an MP3.

Because, Akira, I haven't been able to use internet for the past 2-3 days due to exams and schoolwork. I usually make the reviews using my laptop and a pretty big room with decent floor space.

In addition, I've been reading the readmes pretty throughly-- some of them sound like they were made by elementary school students. I don't want to name any names, but they will be reflected on my review.

My 3 favourites were Doctor Pressure, Mata Hari (Spy Mix), and Paranoia Survivor Min. The bg with the Destiny's Childs' heads on the Paranoia robots is awesome! I also found it very interesting how well those two songs (Paranoia and Survivor) mashed together.

Easily my favorite. You'd almost think Fake Time and Karma were supposed to be this one song only, and they split it into two because it would be too awesome. I understood the joke behind the edit steps but kind of wish they were real edit steps

I also liked Mata Hari, Paranoia Survivor min, and Doctor Pressure. The other files, not so much.

Darn, I'm pretty disappointed by the feedback on my simfile (Know Your Xenemy) so far. I thought I couldn't make it any better, but so far only Lilina rates it as among the best in the competition.

I still like my own Fake Time mashup a little better, but I might be a bit biased
