Sekrit Announcement of Due Dates!

This is not the establishment of reservation threads or anything absolutely final (i.e. anything posted here is subject to change). But with the judges finalized (who they are will be announced later), allow me to say this:

Why couldn't you guys have given me a bigger pool of judges to work with?

Okay, a little more seriously. Reservations will open tomorrow or Friday and will last until the entry due date (i.e. you'll have the entire month).

Entries are due by the time I shout Happy New Years and mean it. I will be either at a friend's house or at a cosplay ball thing on that date, though, so I won't be literally checking the files upload list. I'm not THAT pathetic! Either way I'll be in Alaska.

Remember, the categories for this competition are:
* Songs from OSC 1-5, anything that didn't get Disqualified. It needs to be a full remake though!
* Mash-ups containing at least one music video game song.
* Mash-ups containing at least one OSC song.

Official announcement (along with judge list) comes tomorrow, but go ahead and get working on your entries (if you for some reason haven't already). Enjoy your new year's competition! (And no, the date isn't likely to get pushed forward or back; that'll simply be the best time for getting judging done from the college student's standpoint.)

One thing I have to ask, though.

When you redo a song that has a video and you do not include a video in the new version, does that count points off? If it does, that limits me some as uploads tend to cause my connection to go dead. Oh, and if it didn't go dead, dial-up takes forever...

Anyway, I'm glad this is getting started. Gives me more to work on. :P

In the other thread, it mentions a "list" of old OSC songs. I suppose that's gone? I want to do an OSC4 song that got thrashed in the reviews for various reasons (not my own! XD) but it's nifty. Well, I think it's nifty. Either way, a shot at mediocrity from the very darkest pits of obscurity is in order.

You will not get penalized for not including a video even if the original had one. You won't get the bonus either though, but yeah.

Of course, now I have less than two weeks of classes left before finals, and three projects to get done.
