This may be true, but I'd honestly believe that only a few months is plenty of time for everyone to finish their simfiles on time (they could've even began making preparations when OSC 5 was still in progress). Personally, I recommend the wait is reasonable for everyone so that there is enough time given for everyone to finish designing their simfiles without boring out the ones who can finish their's quickly. Thus, I believe OSC 6 reservations should begin around Winter - about only a couple of months away.

I always figured it would take less time to judge a simfile then to make it.

But what do I know, huh? I'll just let it sit and incubate once I've done these last two charts.

There's a big difference. Like the fact that you aren't making 50+ files.

I'm not. And even if you believe I am, quite a few other people aren't happy with waiting so long either. I'm totally in favor of a bit of wait just to give people a bit of a break and some time to come up with more simfiles, but seriously, some people (including me) have a whole lot of fun participating in OSC. It's even harder to wait when you're so confident that you're already know you're going to do a lot better than last time. It'll just suck to have to plow through an enormous school year before getting another shot at it.

Alright, here's my suggestion for future OSC tournaments:

- As previously suggested, there should be a mini-tournament during the holidays. I'd be looking foreward mainly to another Psychopath Edition. Funny simfiles are a whole lot of fun!
- OSC 6 reservations should begin around March of 2007. Most people seem to dislike the idea of waiting until next Summer for the next OSC, but of course, many believe there should be a break from competition, as well as time to make preparations.

No, Summer of '07 is not the official date for the beginning of the next OSC, but Neko stated that that was around the time which he was considering.

OSC 6 is unlikely to run before Summer '07 because, well, I do not have the fuggin' time right now, especially given I'll be running it without BlueSS's assistance. DUring my holiday break at UAA, I may or may not run one... Particularly mean side competition concept I came up with.

Alright, I'll be fine with Summer of '07. I just hope the mini-tournament coming up is big enough to keep me and most other people happy. In the mean time, I'm just going to submit a few more sims to the database and hope they get rated and commented on.

And thanks for the info about the next simfile competition, Neko! That helped ensure things for me a lot.
