Angry Steal Simfiles And You Get Banned...

First Ban from OSC - Mister Kitty

The stolen steps
Shortysnmn2010's Original steps

Does this look familiar?
These steps are 99% identical to Shortysnmn2010's Albummix version of the song.

I don't know what he was thinking, but ... wow.

As a result, his DDR entry, Chorizo Juice Lickers, is DQ'ed and joins the list of The End, plus his previously DQ'ed keyboard entry, Pwntendo - Since I can only assume they came from someone else also.

Three strikes, you're out Mister Kitty.

I did make the steps for pwntendo.

Chorizo Juice lickers came from Autopsy Protocols CD ep.

pwntendo features a pic of my gf.

she helped make the steps, but i did most of it..

Guess you're tired of hearing this so i guess you can just delete my account from this website..

i apologize for stealing steps..

i had two "the end" files..

Mine and shortsymn what evr his name is.

i grabbed the wrong one...

and put my banner background and cdtitle in the wrong folder which replaced everything.

psshht like ya'll care

What you should have done to begin with is put your "The End" file in a seperate group folder so that you know you aren't messing with anyone elses. Besides, if you have Shortysnmn2010's "The End" odds are it came as a pack with the rest of the first Albumix. I know if I download a pack that I put it in its own folder, not with any other songs.

Even if you downloaded it seperately, it was up to you to make sure you could differentiate your song from his. The folder could have be named something that you would recognize as yours until you had to zip it up to avoid this problem.

Therefore, you made a mistake in uploading the wrong file. Also, this was a third strike apparently. You had mistakes before it was clear you "stole" this simfile. Even if the staff would have let you submit your file instead, you already screwed up enough to cause you to be DQ'ed from this OSC.

Don't let this get to you. Although now people will accuse you of stealing if you have anything resembling another's steps, you will just have to... let it go. Prove us wrong. Prove to us that you don't have to steal simfiles to make good ones, even though you don't steal. After a while, people may forgive you. I can't guaruntee this, but its better than leaving for good just because of a mistake that anyone else could have done.

...although I think your long gone now...
If you do get this, just... try to put this issue behind you and prove to us all that you don't need to steal...
...even though you don't... I guess...

Ouch. Hey, Mister Kitty, can you PLEASE edit that post so it's easier to read? Red on Red = ITG2 theme = eyes bleeding.

So, you dropped your graphics files in Shorty's folder and despite them being named differently (unless Shorty uses BMPs which I doubt) they replaced Shorty's graphics, updated the SM file to point to the new graphic, and updated the SM file's #CREDIT tag to read 'Mister Kitty'? Did Shorty do challenge steps or did Windows splice those in as well when you dropped your graphics in his folder?

Yeah, I find that scenario kind of unlikely given that, but oh well. Stepmania could have updated the graphics if you'd gone into it, saved, and not noticed anything but you'd have had to put the credit tag in there yourself.

The fact that you don't even care enough to copy and paste his name from my original post only continues to show your lack of effort.

Here is a picture comparison of the file layout of the two folders to show that they could not have been easily overwritten.
Mister_Kitty also renamed the MP3, without the mix version to hide it I guess. The MP3 files are EXACTLY the same size - and neither had any tags, showing those came from the same source (you could also look at that date modified).
Now using mp3s isn't a problem, that's prefectly fine, the problem was the steps.

...anything else?

...he did that?

Heh. Should have checked the file then.

Sorry kitty, but you screwed yourself with that. You are marked as a thief now because of this. Despite your story which I believed for a moment, it was proven that you stole the file. I didn't download the file (if I already have it, why do I need it again?) which led me wrong.

...next disqualification I'm downloading before defending.

pwntendo would've been DQ'd anyway. It didn't have Challenge steps. Either that, or it would've just missed tons of points.

The lack of a Challenge chart DQs it, plain and simple. If an entry's incomplete, I'm not gonna bother with it. >_>

Heavy-only simfiles have feelings too, you know. Many heavy-only simfiles are best friends with me.
