I'm still confused as to how it'll work with me entering AND judging but hey, I might not actually finish my own entry in exchange for giving my DDR entry and some other things more attention so whatever.

Remixes are allowed, but you really should consider how much your song is 'remixed' from DDR/ITG. If you somehow got individual samples (or built them yourself) to use as the basis of something, that's one thing. But just putting the MP3s from a bunch of songs together is a "Mash Mix", and most people hate them. If you desire proof of this and the reason why, see if you can find Healing Vision 300 somewhere. >_>

But yeah, if it's a GOOD remix it'd be cool.

I beg to differ

They're cool if done well, I think (see Symbolic Together in TM5 for instance). Also, if the link to it still works, Afrolute in the above linked thread will blow your mind. >_>
