This works with:
4.0 CVS 02-11-07
4.0 CVS 02-18-07 4.0 CVS 03-25-07 (newest release) Make sure you move the original dance/default folder out of the way before unzipping this!
After all the complaints about the new default arrow type in the newest CVS, I decided to port the Default/Flat/Note/Solo noteskins from earlier StepMania builds. Here's the results for anyone who wants to download it.
Minor problems exist, but nothing that should dampen gameplay. The arrows and receptors all animate properly and in time.
This also works as an add-on. All you need to do is rename the default folder - to "classic" or whatever - and set the Fallback in the metrics for note, flat, and solo to "classic" instead of "default".
Post back if you have any problems, ways to fix said problems, comments, anything like that. Thanks. |
Actually last night me and him chit-chatted online to see if we could fix some of the glitches and I did. The best idea would be to use his ADD-ON trick by renameing the 3.95 default folder to classic, then open up the metrics for flat, note, and solo and replace the [Global]FallbackNoteSkin=default with [Global]#FallbackNoteSkin=classic. With the classic type in [Global]#FallbackNoteSkin=common.
Of course its not going to be 100% perfect. With me I still get the 4.0 blue bars for freezes and 4.0 green bars for the rolls. if you guys experience any problems with the new noteskins, let me know so I can fix it for you or tell him myself (pm on the stepmania message boards).
