Default cobalt flux usb control box

Hi everyone. I'm working on getting my CF working on my computer so I can play some stepmania. I've read through this forum and it seems that the standard method is to get a ps2>usb adaptor, only some of which work. Now cobalt flux recently shipped me a new control box, which to my astonishment has connections for USB, PS2, and xbox(original). I plugged the USB into my computer hoping it would ring right up and I'd be ready to go. No such luck. Maybe I need some driver to get it working, which I've not been able to locate. Does anyone know how to get your cf working in windows or linux using the new control box?

thanks for your time

What ? Really ? This is great news for me as well since I ordered it very recently ! I hope I have the same kind of control box !

as I'm searching on google, most of the guys who owns a control box with a USB extension seems to say that you shouldn't need any drivers to be able to make it works :\

EDIT : Furthermore, on the stepmania website, it says that the wholesale control box for PS/PS2/PC/XBOX works perfectly... Did you press start select and up simultaneously for 3 seconds ? Did you try anything in stepmania with your dance pad ?

You're absolutely right. I don't know what I was doing wrong before, but when I read your post I tried it again and it worked perfectly. Must not have had something connected the first time. Thanks!

You have to set the control box to DDR mode in the windows control panel.

cfc106: Don't expect to get them very soon. They take weeks to deliver.
