Default Dance Pad Error

I have one of the ignition or w/e inch thick foam dance pads.. and for some reason.. whenever i press the left arrow.. both the left and right register being pressed on whatever i play.. but when i press right.. only the right arrow is registered being pressed. Does this mean that I have to buy a new dance pad?

You can't really fix foam pads.

try shaking the pad a little bit. it helps me sometimes but i think i need a new pad myself because my friends think it's funny to stomp really hard on it ;_; and i get a lot of pad misses

There is no way it can be fixed. Expensive pads can be fixed. Disposable pads are non repairable.

Yeah even a lot of expensive pads can't be fixed. Some can though. Soft pad repair however is unheard of.

The only real chance you have of being able to fix it is if somethings loose in the 'control box' section of the pad. You could open that and take a look (if you have a multimeter, etc.) if some connection is shorting out.

...however, actually going 'into' the pad I would think is impossible. I'm not even sure how the pads are made, but it's gotta be a thin film type connection that either broke, or had the plastic between two 'wires' break and short.

most soft pads (mostly the cheap ones) have this error whenever folded. try buying the metal pads XD or you could ask a professional one to work for it or (again) don't fold your pads, i mean, place something hard below it like woods / plywood(is the spelling correct?) that can occupy the pad's size so that you do not need to fold it anymore, just slip it somewhere so it won't be disturbing for others. just mind the problem that you'll need much space to keep it though
