F'ed Up

My stepmania is f'ed up. everytime i start a song it has "cur bpm:320.00" on the front of the screen. everytime i end the song, even exiting, it asks me if i want to save changes. i cant even play the arrows cuz they are at least 2 times slower than the song! some one tell me how to fix this

It must be autoplay? or auto sync?

Try taking that off.

when you enter the song... press enter to go in options.

After the first screen with mods, speed and other stuff on play styles and you exit. You enter the second screen and make sure:

Rate: 1.0x

Auto Adjust: Off

when you start the song...

if you see Auto Play or Auto Sync in the bottom of the screen press:

F6 - Turn Off or On Auto Sync

F8 - Turn Off or On Auto Play


if it is a different than that then you must be pressing the F9 F10 F11 F12 keys.

F9 - F10 - Are the BPM changes of the song. So thats "cur BPM = ###.##"

F11 - F12 - Are Offset Gap, this will see "Offset=#.###"


Whatever you do don't press those keys when playing a song.
Also, don't enable Auto Adjust (unless the song is way off-synced).

--If you wondering... F7 is Assist Ticks. That's safe

Those things will screw up a simfiles.

So at the end when it show warning of changing a simfile. Just say "NO".
If you said "YES" then you ruin the simfile.
