OH SNAP!
Today we are releasing a major Update to the FFR Sim File Database which is entitled “FFR Resonance”.
This update provides the combination of the FFR Simfile Database and FFR Resonance as a simulator.
FFR Resonance is a completely rewritten (from the ground up) music parsing engine that combines the previous R2 interface slapped on top of it for skinning purposes. What can Resonance do? Below is your answer:
Allow you to preview uploaded simfiles by actually playing them
Play any difficulty level Beginner through Challenge within a simfile
Record high scores for each difficulty level of each simfile
Use URL parameters to show your own username group of songs within FFR Resonance
URL parameters to adjust speed mod on load
Preview the Mp3 in the simfile details page
Preview the Banner in the simfile details page
Much much more in the works
For additional info, keep an eye on the FFR Resonance Forum for more news and information.
| This...is a brand new step for online music gaming mankind...

I wonder why this got bumped?...
Anyways... there are still problems on bpm changes and stop changes on that... so not really great.
Its best to play StepManiaOnline... XD if you looking for online play...
-Though FFR is flash and universal to most computer on flash... so different opinions here..
plus, I don't really like there simfiles database unlike here in Bemanistyle since here you can upload more than 10mb cause of the donation thing XD
Unlike there you have 10mb and thats it...
-So my problem there is I can't upload simfiles there due to my stuff are big filesize... (mainly video are the problem...) so I need to get the video off to enable upload there... which I don't like. Its funny one simfile upload I'm in top 100 most played resonance simfile. lol

Well, I'll say a fair assessment is 20-30mb. If you have large videos, you need to shrink them down. Actually a smaller limit is fine too, but many people don't know how to minimize the size of their videos (and I've went for help on this forum); often, they put videos as separate files (no simfile, just the video).

(Rebirth0's TGWP for example) I thought there wasn't any limit... Whatever, I say 30mb as a maximum. Same as here, there's no reason for any bigger then that.
Heh, I don't think this was a bad bump. Quote:

That is if you didn't encode them into a smaller size...
-And most people who experienced encoding will or might say most of the time on comparing "The Original Video is always the best compare to my encoded version"
I guess, I won't explain how my videos are big or why I love to set them like that... just might confuse yah.. also I'll go off-topic on this thread if I say so...
Another one is mp3 sizes too... but normally, they are lower than 10mins if they are like 192kbps or 128kbps on 3-6min song at least. though some are 320 considering HQ stuff and that will cause some problems...
-Though if its just mp3 is safe, but with video that is a problem...
though... 30 mb limit is fine by me
Also, there is no bg video on resonance so BG video simfiles are pretty much useless to included and uploaded.
-That is if you guys are developing a feature of that... but, if you are... then awesome!
Most people, like Anime StepMania Players, loves seeing simfiles with video(s) of Opening Theme or Ending Theme or AMV or DVD Extra with video on simfiles... which makes it more cool, nice presentation, and collection to keep.
-Same goes with other TV shows, Video Game footage, YouTube Made Videos... Quote:

Ditto O.O | Since Rebirth is "FFR R1 Simfile Author" I would guess they have special privileges/features they have access on XD
-Which is I'm not saying that I want one or anything... Just assuming they can get over 10mb limit
when I posted in the resonance forum about filesize limit... I got the response and it was 15mb so...
I tired uploading one of simfiles are over 10mb and didn't work...
-tired once one simfiles weeks before my naruto shippuuden op simfile I uploaded. Also, that simfile, naruto op, I uploaded with video and all, and it didn't went though. So ya -.-

Seriously, why would you want to play something of insane quality over the net only to have it have a lagrate to follow it?

Cheers,

btw TougaKiryuu,
I am not sure what you mean about lagrate. These are downloadable sims from the FFR simfile database.

FFR Simfile News April 28th, 2007: Per request, we have raised the 10mb simfile limit to 35mb for inclusion of video and larger audio files if needed. Enjoy.
| -I can now use it XD since my brother says, "upload your simfile to FFR so I can play it on my School Computer"
Lagrate... well that is depend what computer you have...
-My AMD 700Mhz 512mb ram has problems on keeping up with FFR sometimes.
-This one I am on no problem XD
Oh yah... is there like a chance that the server's HDD is going be filled with this causing to like less than GB left?
