Default Getting BPMs

Can someone send me a site that has a program that gets you BPMs? My friend has one that can write sheet music too. Bonus points if you find that one.

DDReam is the best program for BPM so far: DDReam Studio: Made to sync the toughest songs

goldwave is the best for finding GAP: http://www.goldwave.com/

Actually, DDReam does GAPs the same way as Goldwave.
So I believe DDReam is no worse than goldwave at finding gap.

MixMeister is much more accurate, the ones where you tap it out yourself are generally only good for whole numbers unless your tapping ability is superhuman or something. I recommend MixMeister for when you're actually making the SM file and need an accurate BPM to put in it.

I jest, a BPM calculator can get bpm to the hundred thousandth of a point ^_^ it's either that or just use music theory and do it yourself.

I don't trust human estimation for something that needs to be as precise as simfile BPMs, unless you use a tedious trial-and-error approach. (And even if you do use trial and error to fine tune it, it's best to start reasonably accurate). For best accuracy I would say to either drop the file into MixMeister or open it in something like CoolEdit or GoldWave and carefully highlight X beats in the waveform and use that to work out the BPM (although there's still an element of estimation in that, so I generally prefer to just use MixMeister unless the answer it gives me makes no sense)

and I bet you twenty dollars I can do better than a computer program at calculating a BPM, BPM shifts, reasonable stop rates, etc. You shouldn't ever rely on technology to do everything for you, especially when you can take about ten years of musical training and apply it in this field. I'm sorry sir but just plain:

No.

Okay, but what about the rest of us who don't have ten years of musical training?

Maybe I should have said "my human estimation" but the fact remains that MixMeister is a far more reliable option for a good 90% of people. Have you tried using it? It might be more accurate than you think.

I have actually, and it makes me wanna kill babies... or at least makes babies in China explode one.. either way IMO you can find just as accurate programs that don't hurt your brain that are much smaller in size and are much easier to use.

Mixmeister is 1.3MB and you use it by opening it up and then dragging and dropping your MP3 into its window (or opening an entire folder of mp3s if you want to find out their BPMs all at once) at which point it tells you the BPM. There may be smaller programs but at 1.3MB I don't really think it matters, and I can't imagine how a program could be much easier to use. O_o

Are we talking about different programs or something? I'm referring to the stand alone "MixMeister BPM Analyzer", not the full DJ suite.
