Default Is the groove radar adjustable?

Basically, I'm wondering if maybe the maximums for it can be increased. Like, since practically every KB simfile has the radar maxed out in everything, it'd be nice to maybe increase the limit so there's actually a distinguishable difference between them.

Nope. Groove radar is based on a percent level.

No, wait. So there's no way to alter the percent level? You know, make it take more of something to equal so and so amount. Let's say, instead of 80 yellow beats for there to be max Chaos, there needs to be 140! You can't go into the metrics or anything and make it different? There has to a way somehow.

Actually, cancel that lock request. I'll edit it in a moment here...

I poked around in the metrics a tad, and there does appear to be something that might be tinkerable with. Open up the file and do a Ctrl+F for "groove" and it should jump to a section in the later third of the file headed GrooveRadar. There are some numbers here; what they do is beyond me. I suppose it's entirely possible that altering them may have the desired results, whereas it's also possible that the program will crash spectacularly upon doing so. Or maybe it'll just create some funky graphical glitch that'll be fun to stare at for all of five seconds. Regardless, however, I'm a tad too tired to be playing with it now...but I'll give it a whirl sometime tomorrow (or later today, I suppose :P) and see if I can get it to do anything interesting.

Edit: LOL. 13.37 tokens after making this post.

The numbers under [GrooveRadar] control the positions of the labels (Stream, Voltage, etc.) and the aspects of how it appears when the screen is transitioning, and the numbers under [GrooveGraph] control the colour and appearance of the radar. None of the numbers control the maximums for the percent levels.

I imagine that's done via the actual source code, and isn't edittable without creating your own custom build of Stepmania from source, with your modifications in place.

In the .sm file, above the steps for each difficulty, where the name of the steps and the level, are the 5 number that control the groove radar than are automatically calculated when the song is made / saved in the editor (stream voltage choas freeze air in that order).
Im guess if you altered these values you could....could? change the radar... but it may reset when you open the song... but then why do you need to edit it tbh.

Im also sure that on 3.95 CVS it has a bug somewhere that messes with the Voltage reading and its usally zero half the time.
