How can I get feedback on my simfiles?

It's been made clear here that posting about your simfiles here gets you a thread-lock...

But there isn't a forum or thread designated to do so in, so where do I go?

People can post their comments on the download page. Or you might get a PM about them, but I don't think there is a designated part of the forum for. At least I haven't seen one yet.

Waiting for people to leave comments isn't very reliable. Doubly so if your simfile is unlikely to be searched for.

Yea, that's true. I haven't gotten any on mine yet. Guess that's because it only have 7 downloads.

I honestly believe that the policy on this should allow you to ask for feedback on a stepchart as long as your not like LAWL DOWNLOAD DIS AND GVIE ME PTS. Personally when I posted my stepchart, It wasn't even being hosted at bemanistyle, so there's no way I could have been advertising for it to get points (I still want an appology from Akira about this.)

Seriously, if someone wants real feedback on things they can do to make a chart better before uploading it to bms, I think they should be allowed to make topics on it.

Maybe the more you submit, the more chances of getting response from people. Or maybe the categories of simfiles are?

I have atm about 37 comments from various people on my 44 simfiles I submitted so far. They all anime simfiles. . . And pretty much anime pretty popular on people these days.

Plus I always posted this on every simfile description:
"Any Questions/Request/Problems contact me by Commenting, PM, Email or IRC."
excluding the bold since no BB codes are allowed on sim description.

People are pretty stranges eh? So, maybe one day you guys/girls receive one.

BTW: most of my sim comments are congratz nothing about my simfile flaws or mistakes.

I dunno about you Jubo, but i'm a perfectionist who loves to toy with BPMs and chances are the first few times there will be a small offset that makes the sync just a little weird and I might not catch it... thats why I always check with others before I actually release my work.

Akira locked one of my threads. The FAQ didn't even talk about advertising simfiles. He accused me of not reading it. Grrrr...

But I usually don't check the simfiles, either, so I wouldn't comment much, if at all.

If you want to advertise your simfiles, Append it to your signature and let the people feedback on them with the Comment function.

That's the thing, you can't trust people to give feedback like that.

Good feedback's hard to come by. I don't make simfiles other than for competitions or fanmixes (VJAMix and vV specifically) for this reason.

That happens too. Back in 6.0, my Haruka Kanata has more than 800 downloads but only has an off-topic comment. Same goes with my Catch you Catch me.

Some sims can sometimes get no feedback and I consider it normal.

that's the point, who needs to advertise for simfiles? You can just put it up and people will download it, we just want feedback as far as syncing and whatnot goes, plus I read the FAQ throughly and I did not see anything that directed towards asking for feedback in simulation.
