Default How can i move songs to a new folder without resetting its score?

I wanted to sort my songs in Stepmania 3.9 into folders that correspond with their genres, but when I moved a song into a new folder the score was reset to zero. If i put the song back in its original folder, the score returned to it.

So I was wondering if there was any way of re-ordering my songs around without messing with its score.

I also wanted to know if I could transfer all my scores from 3.9 to 4.0 of Stepmania

P.S: Can I add more speed mods to the game? Like 2.5x and 3.5x?

About the speed mods, yes.
I have mine all the way from 0.25X to 20X and it took a while to put it in the metrics but it was worth it.
All you need to do is go into your themes folder and open up the current theme you are using. Open up the metrics and scroll down to the screen operations manager. You will soon see 1x and 2.5x and so on. Above the first speed number you wil see a single digit number. That is how many speed mods you have. Just change as many as you want making sure that when you put another speed mod in, you change the number line.
example: last speed mod on row is 6x. That meens it's on row 6. When I make a seventh row, I need to put in the number 7.

About the songs/scores, I don't know the answer to that yet.

Thanks a lot for this, it worked perfectly except that on all the speeds that I added with ".5" after them, they name didn't show up in game but I can still select it. The 1.5x was still up there though. It's not that big of a deal, I just wanted to say it.

Oh I forgot to tell you,
Go into the language folder and select the metrics.
Scroll down until you find the speed mods.
Now just type in what isn't there yet.

There is a sticky for the speed mods: Modifiying Stepmania To Your Liking (Add Songs, Add Speedmods)

Also, the only way to keep the scores is the edit the stats.xml data, which would be time consuming for several files. Anyway, it's in Data/MachineProfile.
