Yeah, that would be it. I'll just have to look into the code a little and see where to stick it in an start coding I guess thanks a lot ^-^

The stuff in that site is facinating - too bad there is no documentation so I know what (aside from the Stepmania arcade builds) much of the stuff is.

We over here in Jacksonville actuall;y just finished getting our Stepmania Machine running. Were using my home computer on the Extreme cab, and it runs fine. The only issue I have seen so far is that we can't play versus, due to the game giving random misses from both players playing. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix that?

Kind of a misleading title. I would say that if you want to build one, check over at BYOAC.com for the 'cabinet' portion of the construction, and just do a search for making metal pads to go with it. BYOAC has some great advice (and people) that can get you all you need to know regarding building a DDR/etc. cab from scratch or from an old cab.

If you are using PS2 pads and converters, this is a commen problem if you have two pads hooked up to one converter (even if it has two slots).

However I dout you are using PS2 pads :-\

We figured it out. It was the shift keys/sticky keys plus lag from my machine.

WOW, this thread is just what i've been looking for, any pics or more visual info on how to hook up the J-PAC to the JAMMA harness? Don't really get it how to since i've never been inside a DDR Dedicab .... just what i've seen in pics in other forum.

See you later.

EDIT:
I found this in the internet, do you know if this could work? Is teh only one available in my local arcade supply store http://www.hsinpao.com.tw/pc2jamma.htm , if not, well, there's allways the J-PAC

This is located in Stepmania.ini in the data folder as "longverseconds=150.000" (2 mins. 30 sec.) and "marathonverseconds=300.000" (5 mins.)

This should work on DMX machines too correct? I mean, they are the same hardware types and it has been done before.

I always wondered how this was done. A Stepmania machine is how I found out about Stepmania, and this website in the first place. Back in June, at the Atlantis in Reno, NV. That was the best vacation ever. I remember how awesome that machine was.

Anyway, this information is awesome, becuase my local arcade has been considering a Stepmania machine. This could seal the deal, or something good...

Anyone know how to get a no solder pin-wire connector? I have an idea on how to easily make a lights controller board involving a parallel connector, custom (yet simple) PCB, and color coded wiring, but alas I'm not sure where to get the right type of connectors to hook up to the lighting pins inside the cab. Any help would be appreciated!
