I think Stepmania broke my sound card

I was playing Stepmania doo dee doo dee doo and I exited the program. I pulled up a firefox to play FFR but the sound didn't work. I played a song on Windows Media Player. No sound. I pulled up the audio control panel and it said that there was no sound device even though I had speakers in. I tried earbuds too. Please help.

maybe your sound card comitted suicide in the transition from stepmen to ffrz

Stepmania CAN turn your volume all the way down, open your mixer and turn it back up.

But it seems that his/her sound card is disabled

Apparently between the time I closed Stepmania and the time I opened firefox the computer half-crashed killing my active desktop and sound manager among other things and when I restarted the computer, the sound magically worked.
