iPod Stepmania Port

I'm a rather inexperienced coder, but I wanted to know if it's possible to port Stepmania to iPod Linux. A bunch of people in the iPod linux community have been trying to either port this or create a new DDR clone, but have been basically unsuccessful -> http://ipodlinux.org/Special:Module/tstep

I'm hoping that someone here would realize how kickass it would be to have stepmania in your pocket and either begin working on a port or at least bounce around some ideas on how this can be accomplished.

id think it would be quite difficult to do something like that. but i guess in the Linux world anything is possible

It would look ugly, but it should be possible to do that; the main problem I see is that the wheel is not a discrete contact, but a continuous contact set. Effective DDR'ing uses discrete switches under the mats/keys.

Well, them seem to have ogg working according to This Page. Scroll down to the second table.

i dont think it will be possible to do it due to the design of SM and you gotta have good sound to claim i a SM for ipod so its prob gonna either suck or not work
