Max Shutdown is missing.

Since the simfile database was cleared, Max Shutdown has been missing from the list... Y'know, djsmall's legendary Max compilation/marathon? That thing was a work of art.

Can any official-guy here submit it? Or can I submit it "with permission?" I contacted djsmalls at the only e-mail address I could find and he hasn't responded.

Seriously. That simfile is a must for any collection, and the newcomers are missing out.
Whadd'ya say?

How is this compared to DM Ashura's MAX Forever?

Max Shutdown is definitely on par with MAX Forever, although Shutdown is more... varied. More "hardcore." Lengthier, too. Sometimes the keyboard steps makes me break a sweat in my armpits...

So yeah, I'd prefer Shutdown any day. Regardless of my own opinion, though, you yourself would have to try it...

You cannot submit files you did not create, if you want it uploaded talk to Darth Nemesis about it, and he'll make an account for the creator and upload it.

I don't know how you would do this, but could we get some way to submit sims that we did not create, because the database was wiped for 7.0 and now people are asking for those sims. Uploading to places like filefront seems pointless for a 3-4 MB file.

I have Max Shutdown, and Max Shutdown 2 by djsmalls, but I've never played either of them.

A good idea would try to contact the original simfile maker and ask him/her if (s)he could re-submit it.

That, in case (s)he is still around in the simfile making scene :P

Max Shutdown was just a mix of all the max's into one long song wasn't it, not like DM Ashura's MAX Forever which was an actual song with max elements and other songs as well?

Now that you mention it... that's pretty accurate. ^^;

I thought it had original elements... Like, near the middle of the song, it slows down as a voice says "Max... Shutdown." Then there's a series of jumps between freezes... etc., etc. But maybe not, then. Hahaha. I know nothing.

It still isn't bad, though. I've seen tons of crap that only put together a couple songs, and stuff.. Shutdown has been the only worthwhile one. I'm telling you! Less than perfect simfiles make me irritated, and bad simfiles make me angry.

Y'know?
