something really important when it comes to remixing:
a lot of what people do when they mix songs is just cut and paste and do an occasional splice, a few things you can do to make a good remix:
either speed up or slow down songs to the BPMs match or are at least close, also don't just speed up the track a big mass and leave it, you'll get sound distortion, try small increases at first and pitch change it to keep it in the original pitch
use realistic BPMs; bag is 128 bpm and max300 is 150 (music theory is your friend)
make sure your beat is at least somewhat similar so when it transitions it sounds ok, use fruityloops or acid to make beat tracks.
