ok n00b that's lost here...lol...

i'm wondering how to make it so that you can hit more than just 2 steps while playing a song...like when u have 3 or more freeze arrows to hold....when i press the corresponding arrows, only 2 (at max) will register...the rest are NGs...can anyone help?...

well, ive heard dell ones are pretty good. depends on the manufacturer really

otherwise you could try different key combinations. i think wasd or 1235 works.... but there obviously not as good to use. im pretty sure it all depends on how the keyboards circuitry is laid out. Im afraid keyboards are luck of the draw... mine wont do LUR or LDU for example.

I have the StepMania 3.9 download, a whole buncha' songs downloaded, and I followed the exact instructions at the top. But when I load StepMania, it says that there is an error and that there is music files in the file of whatever song it is...yea that's confusing but... So I take the WindowsMediaPlayer music file out and just put it in songs alone as a WMP play, and then the game will load. But then there's no songs! Can anyone relate to this problem and help me solve it? Thanks!

Yup, tab for faster speeds and accent for slower speeds are both hardcoded into Stepmania.cpp in the source code.

Where do you get skins for Stepmania? I've seen videos on Youtube where people playing Stepmania have these awesome looking skins.

How does one go about getting IIDX style grading in SM?

I mean like, 88.88% DP = AAA on SM instead of the bullshit all perfect = AAA like it is now.

I've been looking for this for a long time now and people say it's possible but nobody has posted how to do it.

Ooh, something I may be able to help with.

Go into (Stepmania Folder)/data/(Stepmania configuration file). Search for GradePercentTier01. This corresponds to a AAA. Change this to .888888, and change the other tiers accordingly.

For 3.9 is it possible to make certain songs part of the unlock system, because i want a more authentic game, so any info for doin this would be kool
