I'm guesing the Speed Mods can't be named over 5 characters because when I tried "Constant600" it owuldn't load.

"C600" works fine though.

Does anyone know the scoring for each individual note hit for StepMania CVS? I've been trying to figure it out for a little while now and I can't get it. I've also searched through tons of files to try to find the one controlling the scores. It's not something that I really "need" to know. I was just kind of wondering about it, because it seems really strange. No note has a set amount of points value so it's wicked hard to figure out.

I did all that and I opened up StepMania 3.9 but it still said I have 0 songs. What do I do now?

Here's a little tip for you Kiss.
Follow:
1. Go to C:\Program Files\StepMania\ or whatever you set your StepMania folder to be located.
2. Go to the songs folder. It's probably located C:\Program Files\StepMania\Songs.
3. There should be another folder(s) inside the song folder; click on it. An example of this folder may be C:\Program Files\StepMania\Songs\My Songs (just an example; yours may be something totally different.
4. In that folder there should be another folder(s) (depending on how many songs you have you may have many folders). The name of each of the folders is usually the name of the song and stepfile it contains. An example of this may be C:\Program Files\StepMania\Songs\Songs\Gaussian Blur (Gaussian Blur is the name of the song and stepfile inside [one of my favorites made by Arch0wl]).
5. Inside the song/stepfile's folder there should be
- .ogg file
- .sm file
And then there can be a bunch of other things in it too (images, .dwi files, etc...), but those two things are the needed items for the song to actually work (I believe).

If your songs, stepfiles, or .ogg & .sm files are not in these places or in this order that I tried to explain, then that is probably one of the reasons your songs can't be seen.

I'm very sorry if someone already told you this, but I was at work (just checking Bemanistyle Forums) and I had to do this kind of quickly. If that doesn't work then I don't know why it says 0 songs for you.

If you just want to add simfiles that you've downloaded, follow the instructions on the first page.

this is wow ish ok i downloaded stepmania 3.9 and it never came with a song folder ok i deleted it but redownloaded it and nuthen so i did it again and still nuthing iv looked all over my computer but no song folder please help i can download any songs pluse i need help on where and how to download them please im veery new

Hmm, that's odd. Not sure I can help about the song folder thing.

About getting sims, the search engine under "Simulation" is your friend. How do you download? You just search, click, and then save it to a specific location. Ta-da.

Open the the english.ini in the Theme>Languages folder with notepad.
Then look for the lines where the speedmods are listed (search for C400). Add the names of the speedmods you added in the metrics the way that the others are already added (for example C600=C600 and so on), save and try again, it should solve the problem.
