Default Need Syncing Help!!

This is my first time trying to create my own file, but I can't the notes to sync with the music. It's so frustrating because the music always seems to start before the notes do and no matter how much I adjust the beat offset, I don't seem to get any closer.

Anybody has a tip for me that will help me nail this down so I can continue? I would most appreciate the help.

Edit: I picked a really easy song to start from. Holic.

StepMania is alwyas like that in anyways. To do that, all you need to do is just to press the buttons F11 and 12 to change for the offset. The offset is the time wherein the first measure of your charts and the music hits in. You got my point there? And if you need other information on syncing your musics, go to this thread:

You really just need to keep playing with the offset until you get it to synced correctly. There isn't any way around that. Just keep fiddling with f11/f12.

Another thing is that, if you want to sync it properly.Play that song on Game Mode and make sure that you choose the AutoSync option is turned on (it can be found on your Song Options Mode if you have turned to "show" on the options of your StepMania).

You can open up the audio file in an audio editor and look closely. That should give the offset.

I tried playing the notes I had set in game mode. I wasn't quite sure if I had it, but I do like the audio program idea. I'm sure experienced file makers don't rely on just simply toggling with the beat-offset.

Holic is a hard song to determine, despite being solid 155 BPM. It's the varying time signatures.

It would help if you'd tell where exactly are you frustrated with.

Are you going into the negative numbers with your offset?
