Tell me if the ctrl+letter works SMOnline...
Then I'll download it.

Still in my old build.

Well, is the final save in editing still broken?

And is there a working beat gametype yet?

Fix backward server start/stop options.

A list of important fixes can be found at http://sourceforge.net/project/shown...group_id=37892

On a side note, we have been working very hard to get our dedicated server ready for stepmaniaonline.com. It is nearly complete and we will transferring domains in the near future.

Do BG videos run slowly for other people too?

why is it that 4.0 rejects all negative BPM values from .sm and .dwi files? I can see that they would want to count it as a "glitch" and remove it; on the other hand, I have to continue using 3.9 just to play monotune -respect-.

The year old 3.95 SMO build still has Negative BPM "support".

It's part glitch, part exploit. Personally, I'm a little POed that it's gone as well, but it had to be fixed.

It is possible that SM could make up for this by adding a "warp" tool in the editor. Even though, previous .sm files would probably have to be re-coded to use this tech.

Stepmania doesnt seem to handle videos at all as a whole for me if they arent horribly compressed.

it would also depend on how poweful your machine is, i'm pretty sure 4 is likely to be more system dependant than 3.9 is

A good 4-year-old compy should work fine. The Dell Inspiron 8600 that I use does.

I was using the previous release (the July one) and I've played a song with videos and it runs pretty fine (AxP 1800+, 256 MB RAM, GeForce 2 MX400 64 MB)

A little bug in this release: in the song selection screen, the stage indicator (1st, 2nd, Event, Extra, etc) isn't there. Instead, there's part of the nasty "graphic missing" image on the bottom of the screen <.<

Yah alot of theme weird things. lol!

even errors on SMO server with missing graphics of BPM and difficulty icons

The stages are behind the banner graphic and the red circle well the theme of the person of it does not what it is.

The long version and marathon icons pops up after the you play them and stays there until you play another and disappears (depending what song type).

well, the theme person of it comment on it in the message board.
