Default noob question: how do you set difficulty Rating?

How do you change the number of "feet" rating the difficulty of your track? What standard do you use to determine how difficult it should rate?

You have to be in the step editor, once you pick the song and the chart. It will open the step chart. Then do this:

-Push "Esc"
-Go to "Step Statistics" or the first option depending on your theme, I guess.
-The first two options on that list should change the difficulty and foot rating respectively.

And to answer your second question, as far as foot ratings of 1-10 go, I compare mine to the Arcade charts, anything beyond this is really your call. The hardest I typically see are 13's, anything beyond 14 is pretty rare unless its a stupidly hard chart that's not meant to be passed.

unfortunately I don't really play SM. Sorta can't. I make tracks at request of people I know since I do sound syncing and editing very well, and am able to track non-consistent BPM by ear....

In short I know nothing to compare it to other than looking at other tracks, and most of mine I'm told are pretty hard, though it sounds like what your telling me is my average doesn't exceed 13. I've made two that sound like 14-15 ish, and they were off of ridiculous songs and I took every effort to make the patterns easy to follow....

Any benchmarks I can compare to? I haven't posted any here yet, I was waiting on another question about linking to free-rights material for background animations....
