Now, how do I get stepmania to run at a 16:9 ratio?

I can't find anything on it, but there's usually a way to everything .

I would look for the Settings.ini, but I can't even find that file

that's because it's not a stepmania related file you wanna look in the stepmania.ini for max resolution

So.... where would that be at?

When i change Displayheight and Display width, to

DisplayHeight=800
DisplayWidth=1280

It's still streched out

StepMania 3.95 with Groove2.2 has an option for screen ratio. Just figured I'd drop that in there.

The Screen Ratio option was just implemented in 3.95.
It doesn't exist in 3.9

FYI, most places where you can get Groove 2.2, the theme itself is buggy as hell, I've debugged the version I host at VirInPro as much as I possibly could (due to lack of knowledge of other issues). So, yeah.

Just run it in windowed mode. Go to stepmania.ini, find the display height/width and enter:

DisplayHeight=768
DisplayWidth=1024

That way, when you fire up the game, it will be the same size as when you play in on a 15" screen. The arrows won't slow down and lag, and it isn't stretched out.

Uhhh... 16:9 does not equal 1024x768. THAT is 4:3 by 256. Ergo, of course it wouldn't stretch anything out, because it's a normal (also selectable through ANY StepMania) resolution.

1680x1050 is 16:9 widescreen
